You know, I think I'd prefer most ANYTHING wrapped in a flour tortilla to just plain bread.
I have come up with some pretty creative meals/snacks stuffed in tortillas, Karen.
Today, for lunch, we're having ham, swiss, salsa & sour cream wrapped in flour tortillas.

Me too. I keep both corn and flour tortillas on hand at all times. The added benefit is that they both last much longer than a loaf of bread, especially during the humid summers.

Sugah and Cher, It's certainly true that any type of tortilla or other flatbread is extremely versatile! However it's hard to get really good flour tortillas where I live. My MiL makes delicious ones. I've tried but they're not as good and never come out round!

Sugah, I'm a recent Adele fan. My daughter invited me to join her to see Adele when she was in town last month. I only knew two songs, but since then I've caught up. Many wonderful -- and sad -- lyrics and melodies.

Hey there! Yea, I love West Wing, I've watched it all the way through 2 or 3 times now. Right now I am jumping back and forth watching my favorite shows. S2E1 was probably my favorite especially when Butterfield realizes that Bartlett had been shot. Just so many of faves from the series!

I've only heard about the show and the books a little bit.  I'm barely into the first book and I'm on the fence about it right now.  For some reason I'm not all that into it, but it could just be my mood or that I've been distracted.  I've been only reading a little at a time, which is unusual for me.  Usually when I start reading I book, I can't put it down until I'm finished (whether I think it's good or not.)  I'm still giving it a chance to grow on me more.

WOW! So many wonderful conversations in this game!
Thank you ALL so much for playing. Yaaaaay! dancintrio

Sorry if I miss anything...

Cher:
Watched all of Season One of Outlander with my Sissy.
Only read one book and am not sure I want to invest in ALLLLLLL the rest of the series, though I enjoyed the first novel.
Season One of the series was good, but I could've done without some of the stuff that was a bit beyond R rated, personally.
Maybe they'll tone some of the overly, steamy stuff down in future seasons...
(I'm okay with leaving some of the intimate moments to my own imagination. Hahaha!)

We just started watching Season Two of Outlander. Will keep you posted on my thoughts.
I DO love Jamie Fraser. He's a keeper so far! THAT much I KNOW! I love you
I can't believe you read most ALL of the Outlander books. That's quite a time & emotional investment.

Tortilla Talk:
I don't attempt to make my own tortillas. Our Kroger has a bakery that makes them up fresh.
They are really quite good. And, of course, this IS Texas, so finding freshly made tortillas is never much of a challenge.

Karen, you got to see Adele in person? wow!
Tickets were outrageous here earlier this month to see Adele in concert!
Lucky YOU!

Em, I laughed out loud when you said you had a wrap to get in on the tortilla/flat bread discussion! laughin
I'm not into wraps as much as the tortilla experience, but MANY folks like 'em.
I LOVE flavored cream cheese --- or ANY kind of cream cheese for that matter. Yum!
I can understand that frame of mind has much to do with enjoying a book or movie.
I've watched movies/read books the first time and thought, "Meh. What's all the fuss about? That was a waste of time!"
But it could be that I was just cranky, tired or distracted by life, because upon giving them a another chance...
I end up actually liking some much better the second time around.

Okay, now back to our regularly scheduled program...

What's the last thing you watched? Nothing in awhile
What's the last thing you listened to? My Pandora Disney Station w/ Parker
What's the last thing you read?  No No, Jo! - Kate McMullan (to Parker)

That seems to be the trend lately to make everything overly graphic. I'm with you that I would prefer if they kept things (both sex and violence) R rated or below. That's why I never went back and re-watched Game of Thrones.

That may be it. I started reading it a couple of weeks ago and I'm not quite to the halfway mark, which is unusual for me. Usually I start a book and can hardly put it down until I'm finished. I've been busy doing other things. And this may be influenced by the fact that I've been frequenting websites that really analyze writing and other media critically, but there are a lot of little things out the novel and especially the heroine that bug me. But there are enjoyable parts too.

Sugah, the tickets for Adele were indeed pricey. They were a gift to my daughter from her ex-boyfriend, and she invited me. I was quite pleased with that.

Tim, S2E1 is also my favorite episode, which I have re-watched many times. In fact, I just re-watched the opening due to this reply! I agree, the part with Butterfield is especially good. And I like the bit at the hospital when the nurse realizes that the President's on his way in. When I re-watch the whole show I'm always struck by how relevant many of the story-lines still are.

Aaron, You're lucky you still have Halloween candy. Alas mine was gone Halloween night. I went outside to turn out the lights in my jack-o-lanterns and brought the candy with me in case anyone was coming by. Apparently I left the bowl of candy outside and the raccoons finished it off. (Would have been nice if they'd cleaned up the wrappers too. )

Sugah, I've never had the experience of re-reading a book I didn't care for later and liking it. Probably because I wouldn't re-read it if it didn't grab me originally. laughin A book has to be pretty boring or bad for me not to finish it, but it has happened a couple of times. I may never read another book by that author, but I'll almost always finish it once I've started it.

So, you're saying maybe I shouldn't watch Outlander with my mom and Randy at the same time?  affraid    When reading the books, you can just skim past the stuff you don't want to read, but it seems like it's harder to do that when you're watching something. I find myself skipping those sections of the Eve Dallas books by J.D. Robb, as well.
