Yes, Elle and I talked about that, Em. I'm still considering it.  XP No Longer Being Supported by SP ... Windows 7??? - Page 3 12612
It's been so long since I've had to do something like this, I'm a bit rusty.

If I put in my downloads folder from my desktop game/puter and just Feliciana's 'hood...
Everything about her and her neighborhood should transfer to the new game, correct?
Do I need to put in anything else? Just the 'hood file and all my downloads?  XP No Longer Being Supported by SP ... Windows 7??? - Page 3 62525

~*~

The Staples tech was here setting up my computer from 10:00am til 3:00pm.
He did the data transfer from my desktop's two hard drives, got rid of the bloatware, hooked up everything (including my Windows Live Mail acct - which I haven't accessed since the death of my desktop in July  Rolling Eyes ), gave me a brief Windows 7 tutorial, put in my new, never used 500w Power Supply & my NVidia graphics card and updated all drivers, etc.
This is my first time sitting at my new desktop since the tech left, as I had Parker today.
So, I am just now checking it out and hope to re-install Winzip, PSP7, TS2 and all necessary Sims programs (SimPE, HomeCrafter, etc.) tonight and tomorrow night.
Here's hoping I will be totally back in business with my Sims and all creating tools/programs no later than Friday!  XP No Longer Being Supported by SP ... Windows 7??? - Page 3 266736

Yes, you will just need to copy the entire N00? folder from the old neighborhoods folder into the new neighborhoods folder. (N00? being whatever number Feliciana's neighborhood happens to be, as in N001, N002 etc. You can take a peek into the storytelling folder for each neighborhood or use SimPE to figure out which neighborhood is which.) Copying that entire folder will transfer everything about her and her entire neighborhood. Copying over downloads will bring the cc.

I think those are the two main folders you'll want to transfer over. You might double check some of the other folders like "SavedSims," "SC4Terrains," and "Packaged Lots" just to make sure there isn't any content saved there that you might miss later on. But neighborhoods and downloads are the folders you'll definitely want to copy if you want to keep your games.

As along as the whole neighborhood folder is transferred the game should detect it properly. The Downloads folder will work as it is. The only other thing I can think of is to install CEP since it's needed for all Maxis object recolors, If it's not installed those recolor will not appear.

Just reinstall the whole game first (or up to what ever packs you have to get to your other game 'level') and then copy the hood...then install any games (if any) you got afterwards.

We are actually talking about trying to upgrade to winblows 8....I can't upgrade my computer until my graphics card is replaced (suppose to be here tomorrow.) The wife's computer ran the wizard fine, gave a few reports about what wouldn't work (like snap whatever that is), and said that University won't work on W8...along with 2 of the stuff packs I think it said...Mansions and Gardens and forget the other. Anyone else have W8 and have any issues with the game install?

I can't speak from personal experience, But from what I have heard a lot have older games don't always run or install properly with Windows 8. That includes TS2, From what I have heard the installer gets stuck in a loop and won't go past the install options.
