| A mysterious game occurrence. No reflection on Elle, but her pixel avatar is constantly scratching her armpit. Her DNA is 66257 (I added a point of neatness, thinking that might cure the problem) The only other unusual thing is Laziness 2, which I've never played before. She's Knowledge/Libra, top of the Artist career with a plaque in Arts and Crafts. When this pic was taken, her needs were well satisfied. I haven't seen it in any other Sims I've played - I'm totally mystified Anybody have any ideas? | |

Bwahahahaha! Oh, my stars, is Elle going to get a kick out of THIS, Mac!?! I love it!!! My best bet would be that it's caused by the Sim's laziness (and not some rare rash or allergies ). Since you haven't played lazy Sims before (I love the way they slump all the time, like life takes sooooo much energy out of them. )... I'm thinking it's a result of them just being lazy. I just looked at my notes and have NO Libra or Capricorn Sims (if I recall, Capricorns are lazy, too) in my Tres Lagos 'hood. I know lazy Sims tend to nap more which leads to missing work every now and then. I'm going to have to add a couple of slothful Sims to my 'hood and watch them more closely!!! Perhaps one of our other members can confirm the culprit of ElleSim's itchy armpit...

| I'm not sure how it could correlate with laziness. Scratching your armpit requires exertion! | |

| I used a hack to raise Elle's Lazy-Active DNA from 2 to 3. No more scratching! So that must be it. The Sims Zodiac signs have nothing to do with reality. (One could argue that the traditional ones don't either.) But the Sims ones aren't correlated with the traditional ones, either. I, Elle, and her son Cole are all in RL proud Librans. You can call me lazy if you want, although I don't think I am any more than anyone else, but from what I see on this site, I would seriously hesitate before calling Elle "lazy". | |

| My sims do that armpit scratching motion a lot and I seem to have a lot of lazy sims born in my game, so that sounds right to me. - Quote :

| That's right Em. It's actually a neatness point issue. Low neatness points result in slobbish or slovenly simmies. Sorry Elle, I think your simmie might be a big of slob It will also happen when hygiene is low...which is of course, another problem with slobby sims I'm afraid. Sim Elle probably needs a bath! | |

| Hi Toni,
Actually, Elle was well-bathed at the time. The trait that affects it seems to be the Lazy-Active one, not the Slobby-Neat one. (Slobby-Neat makes more sense, but I Elle was 4 in that and I hacked it to 5 and she still scratched, but when I changed Lazy-Active from 2 to 3, the scratching stopped.)

As one who has enjoyed Astrology since my teens, I would absolutely concur with that statement, Mac. I don't know who Maxis' consultant was on personality traits of the Zodiac signs, but he/she was quasi-clueless. Most are incredibly inaccurate. - Sugah wrote:

So, we are of one accord! I do believe we have settled the mystery of ElleSim's itchy armpit issue (poor dear!!! ). Shall I close this thread, Sir Mac?

Most are incredibly inaccurate. Sometimes I wonder if the traits were assigned completely randomly. I've never seen the armpit scratching. I think I have a pretty lazy sim or two in Isle of Demeter, so maybe I'll get to see it in my game. Nice detective work in tracking down the cause.
