| Alone and penniless after his late uncle gambled away his inheritance, Lawrence Arrendale thought his life was over, until a chance encounter with an old acquaintance started his life on a different track. Follow the lives, loves, and careers of the characters of Bay Pointe, in this ongoing sim saga. Arrendale Heights is an ongoing story I began writing with The Sims and then switched over to The Sims 2 in Part 9. I just wrapped up the story with Part 36 and I'm in the process of moving my site (like Sugah, I was also hosted at PTS/IGN which is no longer hosting sites). I've decided to take this opportunity to go back and re-read and edit the episodes. So I am uploading one episode a week to give new viewers a chance to jump in and read along without being totally overwhelmed by the length of it. Today I added Part 8 - "Moving On" to the new blog. So if you get a chance stop by The Arrendale Heights Archives and check it out!

| One of the neatest things about Arrendale Heights, was seeing your cast evolve from Sims 1 to Sims 2 characters...VERY COOL, Em! - Quote :

Today I added Part 8 - "Moving On" to the new blog. That's a great idea. Is your new blog open to the public yet, by any chance? If so, what's the URL?

| I was so excited when I first got TS2 and started recreating my characters. They looked more like I imagined them to be after I switched.
Yes, the new blog is open. I put the link in the top post, but in case you missed it, it's http://arrendaleheights.blogspot.com/

| Oh yes, I caught the AH Archives, but I was under the impression that you had a new site you were working on. I thought I read about it over at Basic...for Sims. Was it "Em's Sim World" or did I imagine that? (It's altogether possible I am confused, as you well know. ) | |

| AH Archives is the blog where I'm putting the old AH episodes. Em's Sim World is kind of an index page for all of my sim stories and projects. I might make a full blown AH site again, with the character pages and everything, but I'm waiting until I decide on whether or not to continue it or how to continue it. I'm not very organized right now. | |

Okay, I'm with you now. Thank you for clearing that up for me, Em. I like the way it looks. It turned out nicely.

| SimEm! I really love that you get to follow the characters. I hate when someone starts a story and leaves you hanging. Very cool indeed! | |

| Thanks, Elle. I'm glad you like it. You don't have to worry about me leaving you hanging, unless real life gets in my way. I can never seem to give up my characters. Even though the story is officially done for now, I'm thinking of updating folks on my sims one way or another. Thanks, again! And for those of you keeping up, the latest episode on the blog is ... Part 11 - "Confrontation." | |

| Em, I spent quite a bit of time revisiting Arrendale Heights last night. I got as far as Part 3 - Chapter 2. I'm enjoying it even more the second time around than I did the first, if that's possible! You are a master at developing your characters' traits and personalities, so we really feel we know them, whether good or bad. | |

| Thanks, Sugah! I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying reading it. I haven't had many comments, so I wasn't sure if anyone was reading. I've enjoyed revisiting it myself. I think I like the earliest episodes the best when it was more fun and less serious. But the part I'm into now (10-13) is good too a lot of action and drama. I'm kind of falling behind on my updates. I had a drs appointment during my usual update time this week, so I haven't uploaded a new part for this week yet. | |

| I've gotten a few weeks behind on my updates. I got super busy grading papers two Wednesdays ago and last Wednesday I just slacked off. But I'm past the halfway mark of moving all of my episodes with Part 19 added just today! Part 19 - Family TiesIn this episode . . . Veronica talks with Arthur about seeing a therapist. Lucy returns to work at the country club with Jordan, while Craig goes out of town on business. Cassandra tags along when Reese and Blaine go to the orphanage to find information about Reese's past. And Alma's family meets at the courthouse to see her get married. Will she go through with the marriage or leave Edward broken hearted? | |

| Just updated tonight with Part 23, Compromise. In this episode ... While investigating Vanessa's break in, the police get distracted by another case. Craig comes home for a visit, but doesn't get the welcome he expects from Lucy. Reese and Blaine adjust to living together. Hector takes action to change his situation at work. Lawrence and Edward come up with a compromise that puts the protestors on the offensive. Read it here. I've also been working on uploading some of the old behind-the-scenes bloopers on the blog. They're fun to look at even if you don't follow the story. | |

| Thanks, Hobbes. I've fallen behind on updating with the holidays and all, but I'll try to get Part 28 up a.s.a.p. I'm getting kind of tired of re-uploading it one part at a time and I'm kind of anxious to have it all online again. I may try to do more frequent updates . . . if I can find the time. Thanks for reading it again. That means a lot to me. | |

| I started to read it again last night. I couldn´t stop but when I started to see double I had to quit. I´m going to start at chapter 16. I like your characters they all are different and their different stories. You have put a lot of work to this story. | |

| I'm getting behind on my goal of weekly updates again. Life and work keeps me busy! Today, I uploaded Part 30, "The Showdown." While Blaine turns to Cassie after finding Reese in a compromising position, Reese gets some unexpected news that's hard for her to accept. Justin goes to Lucy to share the important decision he's made. The Wilton's move into their new home is interrupted by an emergency trip to the hospital. As the police continue investigating Vanessa's disappearance, Cassie comes to a realization that could put herself and Blaine in danger. Only 6 more episodes to go! | |

| Gotta catch up on this now. I've been looking through the bloopers, some of which are actually really funny. Great work on the actual story though, I've got to try and catch up through the whole thing - I'm still in the Sims 1 era of pictures though :) | |

| Thanks so much! I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment. I enjoy the bloopers myself. Some funny things happen in the game by accident or when you aren't looking. | |

| Part 32 "Secrets Brewing" is now online. Only 4 episodes left until they're all finally uploaded to my blog! In this episode . . . When Art and Veronica return home from their trip, Eileen only shares part of her big news with them. Amanda gets her test results from the doctor's office, while Reese contemplates her options. Zara confronts Blaine about his relationship with her sister. Check it out here. | |

| I've finally got all of my old episodes of Arrendale Heights uploaded to my blog, including the finale, Part 36 "From this Day Forward." I also uploaded a ton of outtake photos from the last episode. I would recommend checking them out. Even if you don't have time to catch up on the story, the outtakes are a lot of fun, I think. | |
