I have to be honest, I did not like it initially, Aaron.
Seeing Hugh Jackman as a low life, self-serving, self-centered loser was hard for me at first.
He, eventally, grew as a human being (thanks to his young son), which is when the movie started to improve.
I always appreciate when the characters in a movie or book evolve into far better versions of themselves in the end.  
The end was gratifying, so it was worth watching to me, though I don't think I'll buy it.
