| For once, I thought I should be polite and introduce myself before I started talking (much). I'm NixNivis, or Nix for short. My own site is Nixed Sims, but I can also be found at Affinity Sims and leefish.nl. I make... well, lots of stuff. These days, it's mostly objects, preferably functional, sometimes medieval, but I dabble in Bodyshop things, too. Like so many of us, Bodyshop is where I started my simming "career", so it's still something that's near and dear to my heart. I'm all TS2, all the time, all the way (don't like TS3 at all and haven't tried TS4), so I'm very happy there are still quality Sims 2 sites like this one out there! Well met! | |

TS2 forever! I installed, tried, and uninstalled TS3. Just got the Prima guide to TS4 and that told me enough not to buy the game. Will Smith had nothing to do with TS3 or TS4 - and it shows! Meanwhile: I think you'll like it here. Good simmers and just plain nice people!

| SandySimmer, I'm just as late with saying "thank you," so it evens out. I must admit, it always makes me squee when somebody says they have my stuff in game (and don't even get me started on how excited I get when I see something of mine in somebody's screenshots). It's silly, but I still think of myself as toiling in obscurity, even though it hasn't been true for a couple of years at least. | |

I can absolutely relate here, Nix, and feel the same. Even after all these years of creating for Sims 2 I am still thrilled to see my creations in others' games & snapshots!

Well, you should rest assured that your creations are very well liked! I feel this is one of the reasons it is so important for creators to really enjoy what they are doing! You can be very proud of what you have accomplished and it is icing on the cake when others respond enthusiastically!

| SandySimmer and Sugah, aww, now you're making me blush. And I won't deny that I am proud of how far I've come; when I started out, making Bodyshop stuff, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I'd be able to do some of the things I can do now. (BHAVs, animations... I used to just gawk in starstruck awe at people who could juggle things like that. Which isn't to say I don't still gawk in starstruck awe at some creators - Rebecah, for example. ) And I'm still learning! My favourite object to make is one where I can learn something new, even if it means I get a bunch of new grey hairs in the process. | |

| I was complaining about how dim my Sim pictures often are because of the lighting mod I use, and talking about how I try to remember to add lights before taking the picture. Then I have to try to get the lights in a place where they supply good light but don't get in the way of the pictures. Guess what I found? Invisible lights at Nixed Sims! I haven't had a chance to look at everything yet, but your creations are great. I'll just echo Sugah: Well said, Sandy. | |

| Cher64, perfect timing, then! And this is exactly why I made these lights, that the lamp will always, always get in the way when taking pictures (and if you move the camera in front of the lamp, the picture is no longer framed the way you want it, but if you move the lamp back, then it's no longer lit the way you want it instead). Glad to hear it will be of use - and of course, that my like my other creations as well! It makes my day when I hear that (so you lovely people in this thread have made my day many times over). BTW, those are some gorgeous doggies in your avatar! Weimaraners? | |

Thanks, I think they're gorgeous, too! The Weimaraner (on the left) is Gypsy, a rescue dog we got from the Amarillo SPCA. The other dog is a Vizsla named Tai. She's a dog my niece's grandfather insisted on buying her even though her mother is allergic to dogs and couldn't have one in her home. It worked out well for us. Vizslas look a lot like slightly smaller (or, as in our case, a lot smaller), red Weims.

| Ah! See, I thought Tai was a red Weim. I think it's so great that you took a rescue (well, two rescues, almost), I wish more people would do that. (I did get my own dog from a breeder, but in my defence the problem isn't as big here.) | |

Way to go, Cher! We have several members here who have rescued cats, too. As for hubby and me, we adopted/rescued a precious pittie several years ago & it's been one of the best decisions we've ever made. We adore our golden girl. PS I re-downloaded your fabulous, fun trampoline for my new puter's game the other day, Nix. Love it!
