Hello! So ah...how many of you remember me then?

Hi everyone,

I knew some of you from down at PTS, kept popping in now and then, promised to stay this time, then had to disapear again for various reasons.

Maybe a couple of you remember me, I feel bad for Sugah after I promised to help with her site re-design then left her in the middle of it :(

So, for those have you who don't know me, I was DenimDolphin.

New computer now, which will actually run sims 2 and 3, now I just have to get them installed.

To those of you that don't want to bother reading the above, here's the short version.

I've been reading through Em's story blog, and I'm getting desperate for a Sims fix lol, gonna install it ASAP...as soon as I find those pesky discs.

Aw, that just made my day! I'm so excited that you've been reading my sims story and that reading it made you want to sim again makes me really happy. Sometimes sim stories and blogs I read make me really want to play more too. Thank you so much! And welcome to Sugah's!

Well, I've been digging through a massive pile of discs...music, films and games all inclusive, and finding things I had forgotten all about :)

What I've also come accross *cough* *cough* is a fashion stuff add-on which a friend lent me a while ago. Oops. And I think she might have lent me several more too, which I never got around to using.

Oops.

But still, might as well put them to use now, find them all, then make an apologetic phone call and post them.

Well, I've found almost all of my discs, including the actual Sims 2, so I've installed and I'm now happily addicted again.


I still have to find Freetime though.

But, I'm back now, and ready to start downloading large amounts of Sugah's place stuff.

One thing that I'm really after is the San Francisco Dining...the Living one worked great, but I can't seem to download the Dining one, but I'm thinking it's more a mediafire problem, says the server cannot currently provide the download.

I've also installed Sims 3. I really do like 3, and it's better in loads of ways, less loading screens, better precision in building, unique sims, etc etc etc.

But...number 2...my mouse is just drawn towards number 2 over number 3, always has been.

Why is this?! Someone explain to me please!

On paper, Sims 3 is better. In practice, I just prefer sims 2.
The weird thing is, I was never like this with the original Sims. I played it, loved it, got Sims 2, and dropped Sims 1 immediately.

Oh well. Anyone else got this?

My first day back simming was yesterday. I set up my family, built their house exactly how I wanted it, then forgot to buy a fire alarm...and...well...yeah, you can guess the rest. I tried making them go to the phone and call for the fire brigade, but they just ran back for the fire and stared at it and died .

I've still got the family though, so I'm gonna start again. Didn't save, so I kinda lost the house.

I just tested San Francisco Dining's download link and I get a "no servers available" message, DD.
Sounds like it could very well be a Mediafire issue. The problem with that is, I clicked on a few other download links and they DO seem to be working.
Weird stuff.
I'll look into it being a link issue, but you might want to try again later.
FYI, one of my newest sets Diana Lee Dining is a recolor of that same 11 Dots mesh.

I think most people I've visited with and things I've read about Sims 3 has led me to believe it's nothing but a big disappointment.
I have no interest in it whatsoever and many who initially evolved to Sims 3, inevitably return to TS2.
I really liked the original Sims and was addicted from the start. The Sims 2 has only fed my Sims addiction, as I fell in love with it from the day one.
Many folks have heard me say this, but I couldn't even get passed the bloated, puddin' faced Sims of TS3, let alone purchase the game.

I'm sorry your first experience back playing again turned out to be a disaster (via fire).

That is so frustrating when my Sims seem bent on self-destruction. But it taught me a hard lesson.
