| ^I ban Hunter for her insensitivity towards Em's icy, messy, small side street dilemna.^ Elle, that blows me away. Your (not-to-be-named-moronic) neighbors have been sued several times for negligence and STILL continue to disregard the neighborhood restrictions? | |

| ^I ban Sugah for not putting Hunter on probation for her negative behavior towards her forum mates. *Actually, they are in jeopardy of losing their home. The Home Owners Association just served them. | |

| ^I ban Elle for not realizing that I have entrusted the decision to ban Hunter to her!^ What makes people so dense or stubborn? So uncooperative? Is it worth it to them to either be lazy or rebellious or apathetic about the association's rules? They are about to lose their HOME, for criminy sake!!! | |

| ^I ban Sugah for not putting that in the last memo. Well, they are just a piece of work; if you met them, this would not surprise you in the least. | |

| ^I ban Elle for not being of like mind with old Sugah to even need a memo. I've known neighbors like that. Some of our Home Owner's Associations around here are so strict, we have to get approval to even change a freakin' door knob. (Well, you get my drift ... I exaggerate ever so slightly.) | |

| ^I ban Sugah for not sending me a memo of the inner workings of her mind. * Ours is strict like that. You need to submit plans for everything. It can be a pain, but you know what you sign up for before you buy the house, you know. I don't think anyone can argue keeping snow and ice off the front of your house, though. | |

| ^I ban Elle for thinking I need the extra paper work regarding sending her a memo.^
I agree with you. These associations are a blessing in the long run. It forces people to go the extra mile to take good care of their homes. This way, you don't have someone on your block painting their house monkey vomit green or putting dead cars up on cinder blocks or having their front yards look like a garage sale is going on 24-7. And you're right. Folks know what they're getting into when they buy a house in a neighborhood that has strict homeowner's policies. | |

| ^ I ban Sugah for squawking about a little extra paperwork. *You are not kidding. Without the homeowner's association, you never know what your neighbor's house would look like. Although I read this book called "The Association" by Bentley Little, and he took the Homeowner's Association to another level. | |

| ^ I ban Sugah for taking the Viking out before he was ready to fight. Look at him; he's exhausted. This is from the publisher: With this haunting tale, Little (The Town) proves that he hasn't lost his terrifying touch. Barry and Maureen Welch are thrilled to exchange their chaotic California lifestyle for the idyllic confines of Bonita Vista, a ritzy gated community in the unincorporated fictional town of Corban, Utah. But as Bonita Vista residents, they're required to become members of the neighborhood's Homeowners' Association, a meddling group that uses its authority to spy on neighbors, eradicate pets and dismember anyone who fails to pay association dues and fines. Maureen, an accountant, and Barry, a horror writer who is banned by the association from writing at home, soon find themselves trapped in the kind of deranged world that Barry once believed existed only within the safety of his imagination. The novel's graphic and fantastic finale demonstrates the shortsightedness of the Association and will stick with readers for a long time. Little's deftly drawn characters inhabit a suspicious world laced with just enough sex, violence and Big Brother rhetoric to make this an incredibly credible tale. This Homeowner's Association does any and everything, and it is all sanctioned by this encyclopedia that they make them sign at the beginning. It is very gory and very graphic. The funny thing is I could really see it happening, . | |

| ^I ban Elle for posting extremely long and windy posts in this thread. **I'm sorry about your neighbors too Elle. Neighbors can absolutely suck. My Poopy neighbors have been picking up their dogs yard bombs for a few months now......FINALLY. I think people should have the right to cannon blast rude neighbors. | |

| ^I ban Hunter for policing the thread unsolicited. Some people definitely make it hard to maintain a good neighbor policy, that's for sure. | |
