| LOL! What fun to read! I don't think so either, Kyle. Move along, move along. All your men are scrumptious! Patrick is hawt! Loving the flashbacks - it was fun to see what some of your Pleasantview originals have bee up to. I know you like Don's offspring and that's why you let him breed so much, but man, that boy ought to have a vasectomy instead of populating the town with his spawn. I was always confused as to why Mortimer's and Bella's children were so awkward looking when they are both attractive sims. I remember giving Cassie and Alexander surgery more than once because even after a makeover they just looked so extreme. They seemed to lack the softer features of their parents. Out of curiosity, what skin default do you use? | |

| Ari I use Eve's default skintones. I use the adult ones, but here's a link to the Barbie version. I can PM you the link to the adult version if you like. She based the body on Louis' awesome skintones, but redid the faces so they don't change the features of a simmie the way Louis' tend to. Now about Don and his contributions to the genetic pool: You just wait and see what gorgeous children he produces! No plastic surgery necessary~ I must post a few more of my Simmies here at Sugah's. Ulli is hankerin' for Marco. Kyle has been downloaded over 30 times! I'm thinkin' he's being tortured in peoples' games all over the world! Poor guy! I still have a soft spot for him. Look at how he fell apart over losing Carolyn. He's not all bad But as you've said...move along Kyle...move along...(for now! ) But let's see what our star-crossed lovers are up to. --- In their second year of university Marco began to date a film student named Amaya Collins. He deliberately kept their relationship light and fun, rather than intense and romantic. He was just not ready to give his heart to anyone, and he didn't want to hurt her. Fortunately, Amaya was very ambitious and focused on her acting career...so settling down anytime soon was nowhere on her radar. [/IMG] It was a relaxed relationship, and he didn't feel so committed to her, that he felt guilty when his thoughts flitted to Carolyn. He was corresponding with Carolyn more now and they even spoke online a bit. Mostly they talked about school, the theatre and movies. They had both been chosen to perform in their university's theatre productions that Spring Break. They had lots to talk about, but it never included relationships. He knew she was still seeing Akil and she knew he was seeing a film student named Amaya. He thought he had gotten his feelings about Carolyn under control...mostly only thinking of her at night, when he was lying in bed or strangely when something exciting happened in school. For some reason he thought of telling her first. Well, all that control went out the window when he got an email one night near the end of the school year, to say that she was coming up to the Academie with Vinnie, Elisabeth and Johnny for Cassie's birthday the following weekend. His stomach flipped over and his hand shook as he clicked on the reply button. He wrote: "Awesome! Looking forward to showing you off...er...I mean...around! Ha haaaa! See you soon. M" He didn't sleep a wink that night. They were coming for nearly two whole days! None of them had classes on Friday afternoons (well Carolyn did, but she was planning to skip off). The plan was that they would rent a car and drive up, arriving Friday evening and then heading out late Sunday morning. Johnny of course would stay with Cassie, Andre would give Carolyn his room and crash around the corner at Delilah's. Marco would give up his room to Vinnie and Elisabeth (now an item) and would sleep on the couch (Amaya's residence had strict rules about stay over guests). Marco slept very badly for the rest of the week, feeling a combination of anxiety and excitement.... ...Suddenly it was Friday night. Andre, Cassie, Marco and Andre's girlfriend Delilah were hanging about waiting for their guests to arrive. Amaya wasn't there. She and Marco had settled into a laid back, non-intense relationship. They talked each day, sat together in a speech class that they were both taking, and hung out a couple of nights a week. She knew his brother and friends were coming up, and assumed he would want to spend some time catching up with them, so she didn't even suggest getting together that Friday night. She's meet everyone the next night at Cassie's party. Sitting in the living room that evening, the house mates heard the crunch of wheels in the driveway and Marco's stomach flipped over. Cassie jumped off the sofa and ran to the door. She threw it open and raced down the steps to meet Johnny, leaping into his arms as soon as he stepped out of the car. Andre and Marco followed her to greet the others as they piled out, tossing bags onto the ground as they did. Carolyn stepped out of the car, the wind running riot through her thick hair. She looked at Marco with a big smile, and his knees went weak. She moved towards him and flung her arms around him. His heart was hammering so hard he thought it would jump out of his chest. "D'Angelo!" "Garcia!" He said laughing, and reluctantly peeled her away from him and held her at arms length so he could see her face. Her dark eyes shone brightly and her cheeks were rosy from the cold..or was she blushing? He wondered. "You look well," he said, smiling at her and seriously resisting the urge to kiss her passionately right there in front of everybody. "Oh you too! Marco! You too!" "Ok, break it up here! Break it up!" Said Andre making everyone laugh, as he came over to hug Carolyn too. "What does a guy have to do around here, to get a little attention from an old friend?" He said, giving Carolyn a squeeze. They carried all their stuff inside, dumping it on the floor, and headed out to grab some supper. Cassie and Johnny decided to stay back at the house. They had their own catching up to do. So a short while later, Marco found himself sitting next to Carolyn in a cozy booth at the campus diner. His nervousness slipped away as the comfort he felt being around her returned. It was after midnight when the group stepped out into the cool, spring air to wander slowly back to the house. Marco fell silent, mostly looking at Carolyn's animated face as she talked, and looking away quickly when she glanced at him and caught him looking at her. At the corner, they parted ways with Andre and Delilah who were going to her place, and headed back to the house that Marco and his friends shared. They took turns in the bathroom, and then they all bid each other good night. Vinnie and Beth disappeared into Marco's room. Carolyn stood at the door to Andre's room wearing thick sweat pants and sweatshirt. She had no makeup on and her hair was pulled into a messy ponytail. Marco, standing by the sofa thought she'd never looked more beautiful. He wanted to take her in his arms and shower kisses all over her freshly-scrubbed face. He dropped his eyes knowing that his face was flushed. When he glanced back up, she was smiling at him. "Good night Marco," she said softly. "Good night Garcia," he said, his voice raspy. She slipped into the darkened bedroom and closed the door. Marco lay on the sofa his arm across his eyes. She was laying just a few feet away, behind a brightly-painted door. "How's a guy to sleep?" He groaned to himself, rolling onto his side and staring at the wall. The sky was beginning to lighten when he finally dozed off. He was awakened by the sound of Johnny and Cassie clattering down the stairs, and he rolled over and sat up. "So much for a good night's sleep," he said to himself. | |

| UGH this is maddening! But in a good way - that means you're an awesome story-teller.
Very well done. Wonderful job of getting into Marco's head and letting us walk through a difficult situation with him. We got to feel everything he does - all his anguish and longing. Brilliant!
Thanks for the link. The skintones are very pretty, but the dark isn't all that dark. I like my dark skinned sims to be a tad darker, about the shade of the Maxis skin. They do look quite nice in your game, though. Hmm. I shall have to think about it.

| Ari, because Eve has a separate file for each default skintone, you can actually replace her dark one with someone else's. I did that once, though I went back to Eve's and just have several custom darker skintones which I love! Like Patrick's (he has his mother's) and Amaya's. I use Christianlove's skintone changer, that lets me change skins in game, but it conflicts with inTEEN so it's no good for you. But you can change skintones genetically using SimPE. I'm busily working on the script of my next installment. I've already picked the pictures I'm going to use, I take so many! I study each one for subtle differences in facial expression to try and get it just right for the story. Now that I've gotten all into the characters, I'm spending a lot of time on the dialogue. Just to torture you guys a bit. Here's a teaser from the next installment. Jackie...hang on to your hat! EXCERPT: "Carolyn sat back down. "Let it never be said that I abandoned you!" she said, smiling at him and making his heart do somersaults.
The space between them felt electrified."

Don't get me wrong I want these two together but I am so enjoying the flirting and the almost there suspense :)

Thanks for the info on the skintones. When you get a moment, would you mind PMing me with the adult version of the skins? I find barbie skins...disturbing. I might play around with them and see if I like them.

I've been playing with some other households these past couple of days. There's so much going on in my hood! But just stopped by to post a pic for those of you who've gotten to know all the various side characters. In case any of you are wondering whatever happened to Crazy Kurt Bransfield (featured at Cassie's end of school party, and making a guest appearance at the prom ). He's at Fiesta Tech studying theology! Oh, if my reverend looked like this, I'd be in church every Sunday! Wowser!

| Ha haaaaa! Reverend Snacky Pants! That is so naughty Sugah! I'm lovin' that you all are lovin' my tales. I gotta tell ya, I've soooo gotten into trying to make the pictures just right, I'm spending as much time setting up shots as playing! lol! I do play and take pictures, but now I keep in the back of my head that they've got to tell a story, so I'm constantly stopping to set up shots. I've become an even more shameless user of pose boxes, and have been trawling the community looking for more. It's been great fun~ I've always known how I wanted my simmies' lives to play out (though I am open to their particularly persistent 'suggestions )...and I've actually now written some of their story past the point where I actually am in my game. So now I have play to catch up with the story! I'm thrilled that you're loving it. I think at some point, I'm going to have to extract the story from all the other incidental posts that I've made and make a thread that just tells what has now turned into Carolyn's story... ...and BOY is it ever a roller coaster! Ooooops.....did I say that out loud? Well enough teasing and torture for one post On to today's episode. The gang had breakfast at the diner and though Marco had no time alone with Carolyn he reveled in having her nearby. They tromped around the campus, stopping for lunch at a little Greek restaurant. In the afternoon Andre, Cassie and Marco showed their friends around the small college town. It seemed like the most natural thing for Marco and Carolyn to gravitate towards each other. Ok...he did this on his own again: a double thought bubble - Carolyn and best friends - surrounded by hearts. Ya gotta love this guy! Then they wandered back to the house in the late afternoon where Marco whipped up his famous Fettucine Alfredo with shrimp and lemon chicken. Aren't these two just the cutest? After their early supper they all heading to the town's most popular night spot, Twist, where Cassie was celebrating her nineteenth birthday with all her university friends. There things got weird for Marco because Amaya had joined them. She was not a particularly clingy type, but still...he felt uncomfortable having her there with Carolyn. Carolyn was very gracious, and seemed happy enough, though Marco got the distinct impression she was avoiding looking at him. She chatted with Amaya about their mutual film interests. Then she disappeared into the crowd with Beth. He wanted so much to follow her, but he didn't. He spent some time with Amaya that night, heading home at minutes to 2:00 in the morning. Entering the living room, he found Carolyn and Cassie in the living room watching TV and apparently polishing off ice cream, chips and a plate of chocolate chip cookies. "Where do you guys put it?" He asked them with a smile, shaking his head. "In our butts," Cassie said grinning. "That's why we always walk backwards out of the room," Carolyn added laughing. "Your butts look just fine to me," he said grinning. "We Italian men like a little junk in the trunk," he said winking as he headed to the bathroom to take a shower. When he emerged they were in deep conversation apparently about Johnny. He squeezed onto the sofa between them. "Oh!" Cassie said. "We're in your bed!" "Yes you are," he said with a naughty grin. "I'm a lucky guy." He ducked as they both hit him with cushions. "So...what's up with the man, Cas?" Marco asked. Having been roommates for nearly two years, they were close. "We had a big fight. I think it's over," she said, making a face hide and blinking quickly, it seemed to stop from crying. He frowned. "Oh Cas,' I'm so sorry." "I told her she needs to go up there and talk to him," Carolyn said, pointing up the stairs to Cassie's room. "Yeah Cas.' He's leaving in the morning. You need to sort this out. It'll be too hard to do if he's 800 miles away," Marco said, squeezing her hand gently. "It's just too much work," she whined. "Cas.' Go!" Carolyn said. "You've really got to figure this out," Marco said, nodding in agreement with Carolyn. "...One way or the other," he added. "Oooooooh, alriiiiiiiiight," she said, dragging herself off the sofa and towards the stairs, with all the drama of a child being sent to clean their room." Marco and Carolyn giggled at their friend. She could be so silly. And then, they were alone. Carolyn moved to get up off the sofa. "Abandoning me?" Marco asked, grabbing her hand gently. "What are you doing?!" He asked himself. Carolyn sat back down. "Let it never be said that I abandoned you!" she said, smiling at him, and making his heart do somersaults. The space between them felt electrified. | |

| You guys kill me!!! But really, aren't those two just the cutest?! Anyway...more on them later, I just had to share this little piece of family drama. Simmie VIOLENCE ALERT! (I don't condone violence, but this little drama had nuthin' to do with me man!) Daniel Pleasant is having an affair with a University Senior, who has been friends with his daughters (Lilith and Angela) since they were teenagers! Formerly a townie, Michelle now lives in the Sorority House at Fiesta Tech. So (as I'd planned all along) I teleported in the girls and Mary-Sue to catch him cheating. He got slapped around by Mary-Sue (forgot to take pix) and then I sent them home (I'll go back to their lot later and have them split up. She deserves better. But Angela and Lilith immediately hated Michelle, and the next thing I knew they were queued up to slap him, which they both did, and then they both took turns beating her up!!!! I kid you not! I have a mod that makes the simmie with the most body points win, and Daniel's girls are both very athletic, so she got pummeled by the twins! I swear, after all these years, my simmies still fascinate me. (I have a mod that gets rid of the fight dust cloud so you can see what's happening. Some of the animations are weird, but I didn't take pix of those ) PS) Loved the Sandlot Jen! Great movie~ | |

Max (after an amourous evening with Sim Toni) gets out of bed in the middle of the night to recite poetry in the buff! By the way, when you wax lyrical to your buddies about a girl, that is serious! This is soooooo not part of the plan, but I'm curious to see where it goes. I'm not actively interfering with him and Sim Toni...yet!

| Oh let me put you out of your misery Jen. The picture was taken purely for the purposes of torturing you guys. I was taking pictures of the two boys after Ulli drew it to my attention how much they looked alike, and then I teleported Carolyn to the lot, and had a field day posing them for all sorts of pix...I didn't save the game, there was no real interaction between them...well, except for the boys hankerin' after her, but they always do that when she's on the lot. So...relaaaaaaaaax, the photo is not actually from any real game play. But...to continue where we left Marco and Carolyn on the couch with all that electricity and stuff.... ----- "Amaya seems nice," Carolyn said. "Yes. Yes she is," Marco said, his heart flipping over. He leaned forward to take a cookie off the plate, so that his face was turned away from her. "So will you two be settling down after school?" she asked with a coy smile. Marco almost choked on his cookie. He coughed. "Noooo," he said with a nervous laugh. "Her goal is to become an acclaimed actress. Nothing will distract her from that," he said smiling. "Not even you, eh?" Carolyn asked teasingly. "Not even me," he replied smiling back, as he imagined planting his lips on hers. "What about you Garcia?" He continued. "Do you want to get married and have babies?" "Oh yes!" she said, her eyes lighting up. "I love kids." His stomach flipped over. "What about becoming a famous actress?" "That's what grandmothers are for. My mother loves babies too," she said grinning. He laughed and nodded. His pulse was racing. "And you Marco? Marriage? Babies?" "Absolutely." "And what about your career?" "I guess I'll just have to find a wife who's mother doesn't mind helping with the kids." She laughed nervously and shook her head. "Oh dear lord, what did I just say?" he asked himself panicking. He stood up. "Thirsty? Those cookies are making me thirsty? Soda, wine, tea?" he asked, already heading for the kitchen. "Tea would be nice," she said softly after him, and he swore her voice trembled. His hands were shaking as he tried to busy himself in the kitchen. "Get it together, D'Angelo," he told himself, taking deep breaths as he added water to the teapot. The cups rattled on the tray as he walked back into the living room where she sat looking at the TV, but he could see that her eyes were far away. He set down the tea tray with a clatter. "Tea M'lady," he said making every effort to come across as light and casual. He sat back down next to her on the couch and as she reached over to put the remote control on the table, her arm brushed his. The hair on his arms and neck stood up, and he ran his hand over his face. "Well here's hoping you find yourself a good woman," she said smiling at him. And before he knew what he was doing, he heard himself say, "So do you imagine you could...settle down with someone like me?" "Naaaaw," she said frowning. He swore his heart stopped, and he felt a rush of colour to his face. "You're too pretty," she said with a big grin. He hit her playfully. She swatted him back giggling. "Ok, ok!" He said laughing. "What if I was disfigured?!" He asked with a dramatic flourish. "How badly?!" she giggled. "A broken nose...and a scar?" He asked. "Hmmmmm......," she mused. "Will you be rich?" | |
