| I def agree with you on the sliders and aging, Em. Its nice to be able to make your sims different and not all the same size. and gradual aging or more stages would be really cool. I like the preteen, and maybe a middle age, they could include some midlife crisis stuff for them. | |

cool so sims don't automatically jump from one age to another - although that might not be best for storytelling purposes. Maybe a couple of more life stages, like preteen or middle aged, those life stages you have to do a lot of work to fake in TS2. I hate the jumping from one stage to another thing also; I think you have a good suggestion here. Too bad EA doesn't think it's important to listen to their player's opinions.

| If EA did have a wish box that they seriously considered honoring for Sims 2 - these would be mine.
- Definitely the different ages. I would want infant, toddler, kid, pre-teen, teen, college, 20's, 30's, 40's - decade by decade thing I think.
- The body shape sliders would also be awesome.
- The option to have your game be more adult oriented if you chose - or to have an "R" rated version of the game that allowed your Sims to sin more - like smoke, have adult flirting be more realistic and playful and yes, raunchy. Also your Sims could commit crimes like theft, abuse and murder (this would be really good for storytellers).
- The option to have anyone, not just neighbors like in AL- your Sim knows act as a babysitter if they ask.
- The ability for Sims to have funerals.
- To have more control of your Sim's weddings and be able to actually hold them at a community lot.
- For your Sims to have addictions like maybe gambling, drugs, etc.
- The ability to control Pets if you have them.
- That in AL - you don't have to go "out" of a game to go to a neighbor's home.
- That our Simmies would have many more "personality" types as options.
- The option for our Simmies to go places like a Carnival or Zoo or a Museum - places like that.
I have a LOT more - but those are a few for sure. It is sad that EA doesn't really seem to care about their consumers. Sims 2 doesn't have to end, they could go on and on with it and people would still buy.

The body shop options in most sims games are seriously lacking. They definitely need to allow more versatility with that. - Quote :

This is a good idea, it would make for storytelling. But I doubt it will happen since they stress family friendly all over the place. I doubt EA will want to reach into the dark side. - Quote :

These should have been an automatic inclusions for the next generation of sims.

| Allow me a moment to vent:
You know what's fun? Building driveways in The Sims 3! I love spending twenty f***ing hours trying to figure out how to get a car to appear in the god **** driveway, only to realize that it's not my fault, it's just that the game isn't letting me. How fun! My other neighborhoods let me, but not the one that my current sim is in! So I guess my sim that I have been working on for hours on end can't have a f***ing car! Yay!
Thank you. | |

| I uninstalled Sims 3. Just way too many problems. One game shouldn't need that many patches/updates.
I was working on a request for somebody at a different forum. So, I saved my progress after I took a few pictures to see if he wanted any changes made. Since Sims 3 doesn't come with BodyShop, I packaged him up in imported him back into the game.
For the life of me, I couldn't find this Sim anywhere! I looked in every catagory there was in the CAS. Nowhere to be found.
If the (worthless) game came with a BodyShop, all I'd have to do is, clone him and make any needed changes.
I now have, expensive coasters. |

| The latest game I bought was Apartment Life. I'm really enjoying it from what I've gotten to play before the semester started. I keep throwing wild parties and neighbors get mad or they'll throw parties while I'm sleeping! Haha! I'm looking forward to getting the new games after I get myself some more internal memory. I'm running a little low. | |

| I still haven't explored all that Apartment Life has to offer, James. I bought the Prima Guide for Apartment Life, which helps immensely. Have you dabbled in witchcraft yet? I have not. I like the whole community living experience. It's such a neat addition to the game. - Quote :

I've not explored that part of it yet. Know what blows me away? That in almost every hood, there are two Sims that are constantly wanting to beat one another's brains out. These clowns will bust out in a brawl at any time of day or night, inside or out of the apartment complex. Have you experienced this yet? It's crazy!

I haven't dealt in witchcraft, but I have turned into a werewolf. I saw the witch a few times and the vampire as well. But I ran away when he got close. Didn't want to turn into a vampire yet! It's such a great game and there are a lot of good aspects to it. I didn't get a chance to flip through the guide. I've only seen it once and didn't bother getting it. I wish I did. I could have done so many fun things!

| I've tried to get the Prima Guide with every EP I purchase. I recommend them. They're extremely informative and helpful. I don't recall if my Sims have ever become a werewolf (when I had Pets installed), but I had a blast doing the vampire thing for awhile. - Quote :

| I like your list Hunter! I'd forgotten about the pet control thing. There is a cheat that allows you to control them, and I've actually put it in my startup cheat file, so it's automatic. I didn't even remember that it wasn't a feature. I think it also allows you limited control of roommates, but I've only done the roommate thing once, and my simmie fell in love and asked him to join the family, so the scenario didn't last long. | |

| Well, I just had to share this little tidbit. Tonight, we stopped at Half Price Books, as often they have used Prima Guides on sale there. I'm looking for the Bon Voyage one. It's the only EP I don't have the Prima Guide for yet. They didn't have it, but they DID have Teen Style Stuff and Ikea Home Stuff SPs. I picked 'em up for $5.00 each! I almost bought two other SPs I don't have yet, but they were $7.00 each (still a good price). Maybe I'll go back for them next weekend. WOOHOO!!! I'm pretty stoked about the bargain I got. So, now I have Kitchen and Bath, Glamour Stuff and the two above. | |

| I'm so jealous! It's difficult to find Sims related stuff at good prices (well, dirt cheap for my budget). I was just telling Harry the other day that we NEED to get the rest of the stuff packs so we have unlimited choices in downloads. I was trying to download houses for my kingdom and most of them required a stuff pack I didn't have. And now that Harry is getting into building houses, he understands that with new stuff packs, not only do you get new items, but new meshes which means MANY more things as creators have used them to give you even more choices. So, I was thinking the other day, WHY didn't Maxis make a Medieval expansion pack? Or at least a stuff pack? The 'Medieval' items they include in the game are seriously lacking. | |

| Ari, do you live near any of these Half Price Book Stores? Indiana Avon, Gables of Avon Fort Wayne, Coliseum Shoppes Greenwood, Greenwood Shoppes Indianapolis, Castleton Commons Indianapolis, Northbrook/Greenbriar If so, you can always call one (or more) that are close to you to see if they have any of the SPs in stock. $5-$7 for Sims 2 Stuff Packs, when they're listed at $19.99 is a steal of a deal. Now, I'm assuming mine are USED, even though they are packaged up in the cellephane like new...not sure! The sales clerk said I could return them/exhange them, if need be. - Quote :

Exactly! Well said, m'lady. - Quote :

Or for that matter, why not a total beachy stuff pack for those of us who like hanging out by the sea, as opposed to an enchanted forest or medieval kingdom.

| Ari, you can always try the EA store. With surfing around, there is a Hospital Mod now. I guess with the Modding Community nothing is not doable if they are so inclined. As for an R rated version, I have been playing that for ages, if you know where to look, there are a heap of Mods. Last night I picked up a pack of 601 Fashion Model outfits, now I have to clean up my clothing and do a proper sort of each category, not looking forward to that but, oh well. Today, I ended up going to three shops to grab the seven stuff packs, I didn't have. | |

| Thanks for those, Sugah. The one in Fort Wayne is the closest (only an hour away, lol!) but when the kids are in school Harry and I make the drive there once a month or so. I will definitely be checking this out. Thanks, Russ. Sadly, the prices seem to be the same as what's in stores right now, though. I'm very sad. Someone posted this at my Royal Kingdom Challenge group. WHY??? Wasn't I JUST saying the other day that we needed something like this for Sims 2? I HATE sims 3 and I NEVER want to play it! I HATE Eaxis!! | |

| Oh, good! It'd definitely be worth a phone call to see which SPs are there and at what price they're selling for @ your nearest Half Price.
Woah, Ari. The Sims Medieval! Yes, you WERE just saying that. Unbelievable! What are the odds? It says it's a BRAND NEW GAME, not a Sims 3 EP. Or am I not understanding correctly? Do you think it's for PC? Or could it be one of those quest-like console games?
If you are ever in need of any bedding, art or other Medieval items recolored, I would be happy to oblige, m'lady.

Okay, I found more info about it HERE. It IS a PC game and will be available in Spring of 2011. It sounds right up your alley, my friend:
The Sims Medieval offers players a chance to build up a medieval kingdom, controlling characters from all walks of life, from Kings and Queens, to Knights and Wizards, Blacksmiths and Bards. It provides a host of storytelling possibilities in the form of quests, from crafting a legendary sword to arranging a royal wedding, to protecting the kingdom from an evil sorcerer, to finding the fountain of youth.

| Actually, that DOES sound pretty dang cool. Thank you for that link. I was too hasty in my hating. It isn't an expansion at all, but a stand alone game and I may have to be checking that puppy out. However, they have one thing very wrong - "...warm look of the characters" - HA! They look only slightly better than Sims 3 sims - which means they still resemble dough balls, only not quite as much! But this especially - "Players can choose to customize every new Hero that comes to the kingdom, including selecting their traits and their fatal flaw." - ok that's pretty awesome. Thank you for the link darlin'. | |

I'm still not sure if I can get past the puddin' face look, but will reserve judgement til I learn and see more, Em. Definitely on the fence about this one.

| Sort of off the current thread, but I just recalled - I'm playing one now, that there is a superb set of starter houses on MTS2 - single-story, lots of room in the houses, fairly large lots, in fact a few could even accommodate a helipad.
The set is "Queens Brook Blvd N" - started in Aug '07 and ended in Jul '08
I play multiple copies of them all.

| I read somewhere that the lifespan of TS3 will probably be very short; this person said EA developers were already working on its successor and that TS3 will not have the duration TS1 or TS2 had. I don't know how accurate this was though; I believe it was in someone's blog.
