I think you may very well be a romantic at heart, Lady S! --- I posted this in Ulli's Guide to Better Landscaping section, but thought I'd share it here, too. I worked on spiffing up Feliciana's wee lot today. I have to say, I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out. Most of you know I am not good at building, decorating or landscaping, but I'm sorta tickled with these little mini abodes & lots.

I never heard of tiny house living before. Actually, in the city all houses are kind of tiny when you compare, lol. I love the house and lot! It is so cute and perfect for a single sim who is not home often. You should think about offering some tiny houses for download. - Sugalicious wrote:

"Print Screen" is a keyboard button located by your function keys; I don't think it has anything to do with what OS you use. To avoid having to minimize your game after every, single picture, you can use a screen capture program like Photoscape. This way you can capture multiple shots and edit them all at one time when you finish your scene instead of having to stop and minimize after every still. - Sugalicious wrote:

I am really loving these tiny houses of yours, Sugah. You should definitely consider offering them. Ulli gave you some wonderful tips, by the way. Very nice touches with the flowers.

Once I am back in business, I would like to give the sidekicks a virtual life. Though, I am thinking I might just install our current LoSP team as sisters, then add a few of our lovely, devoted, active loyal members as next door neighbors. Haven't worked it all out yet... It'd be fun if we could start this adventure together, my sista. What say you? - Lady E wrote:

I am thinking of using her as a base for my Miss Italy when next we do a SBfAtW update with a few tweaks here and there. Currently, she may look a bit too much like my Yasamin of Pakistan who I used to create her from. Still... I really wanted my Miss Italy to be modeled after Sophia Loren if that is at all possible for me to achieve. Not sure yet which way I am going to go with this. Anyhoo... - Quote :

Upon re-reading what I was accomplishing and all the fun I was having prior to my desktop going kaput on me, it makes me long to return to my game once again. | Hi, Sandy! Thanks so much for asking! A couple of weeks ago, Jeremy pulled (what seemed like) every single component & cable/wiring out of my desktop. He examined each one thoroughly, then placed it back into the computer. It still wouldn't fire up properly. He told me it has a few shorts in the motherboard and another elsewhere. Soooo... Next time he and I can manage to synchronize our schedules, he'll be replacing the motherboard and exchanging everything into another cd tower/case. The problem is, our calendars don't always jive, so it may be awhile before that happens. At least there's still hope and I won't be losing any data! Still, we're getting closer and thank heavens I have this laptop!

With our new Vis-à-Vis Bazaar: Eclectic Creations section now open, I've been having a blast working on interesting, otherworldly creatures to offer there. | I figured I'd better post something to keep this thread active, as we have a rule here that states if a person's game thread is dormant for over 5 months, we lock it up. Yikes! I'd better get with the program! As most of you know, last summer my desktop went kaput. Since then, I haven't been able to connect with my puter guru buddy (who had the puter built for me a few birthdays ago). He believes it may be needing a new motherboard and tower. Not sure what else... Anyhoo, I haven't been playing much on my laptop, because I don't have all EPs/SPs installed AND not much downloaded for various reasons. I've been missing my desktop MUCHO, as I was having so much fun with Feliciana Pellegrino my happy Italian wanderer. If anyone is interested, check out my intro of her, dated May 27, 2013 on my pg 17 in this thread. I was really getting into Feliciana while exploring the many things Bon Voyage EP brought to the game. I was also enjoying creating tiny houses on wheels, which you will see thereafter. AND ... I even learned how to change the comfort/energy & environment level of CC seating right before my puter died. I was particularly excited about that, because the mini houses only have enough room for my Sims to crash on the couch each night. No bedrooms, in other words. So, they have to get their energy and comfort up BIG TIME while sleeping on reasonably priced sofas and not all are created equal comfort/energy-wise. All that being said... I hope to connect with my friend, Jeremy, soon to see if he can get my desktop up and running again. In the meantime, I have been thinking of a few new hoods I may want to create, amongst other things: 1. My own version of Strangetown (yet to be named), featuring some of our Otherworldly and Creature Feature Sims AND starring Mulder and Scully of the X-Files (a show I love and miss). You can bet I'll be using Aaron's Monster Mash Pose Box to get some great, fun images of some of my otherworldly neighbors! 2. Terra Bella Villagio This will be the hood I have been wanting to recreate from my Sims 1 days for many, many years. It will feature all of my favorite Sims from the original game, including my most beloved Rigatoni family: Vinnie, Sophie, Joey, Nicky, Paulie, Rosie and Dommie ... Featuring Sophie's parents Nana Josie and Papa Dom Vermicelli ... Sophie's twin sister Loretta and her hubby Frankie Manicotti and their twins, Josie and Frankie, Jr. ... And so many others who I fell in love with back over a dozen years ago. I need to refer back to my old Photobucket account and old Sugah Sims World Blog to recall some of the others. Perhaps I shall post pics of them all some day!!! 3. I want to do some of Elle's fantastic exclusive, original challenges over again, namely her Spouse Swap Challenge (which I failed at the first time around). Okay, I've gone on enough! All this talk about my dreams for future Simming is making me want to load up my game and get rockin' and rollin' on one of the above RIGHT NOW! All input and suggestions are welcome, as always!

| I sure hope you get your computer up and running quickly, and can enjoy some time playing Feliciana. I'm dying to see more of her adventures! You all are so creative here with your recolors and sims. There are also some beautiful rooms in your thread, Sugah. Reading these game threads is bad for me, though. I was happy playing along in Pirripirri Beach - Vezz Island, wanting to see how many generations I could create before it was filled up. Now I have ten or twelve other things I want to do in my game, as well. | |

Thank you, also, for your compliments on what our creative team shares here. I am blessed to have such talented ladies still offering their wonderful TS2 creations at SP. With so many folks moving on to Sims 3, and soon, Sims 4, I remain ever grateful to have the Ladies of Sugah's Place after all these years interested in creating for Sims 2! - Cher wrote:

Don't even get me started on that subject! I am the same way ... ever inspired by how others play their game and the innovative ideas they come up with! I don't think there will ever be enough time to explore all the possibilities, which makes this beloved game of ours even MORE fun ... like an ongoing adventure! I look forward to you sharing your TS2 game antics here with us. If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to PM me.

| I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaack! Can you believe it? No fainting now! I am taking a break from the very tedious, boring task of sorting through several stuffed, disorganized old downloads folders (from my old puter's game). It will be an ongoing process as I sift through tons of downloads (many of which I am clueless about ). Anyhoo... On with the show! This time around, I decided to install PETS, which I haven't played with in ages. I am rather glad I did, so far. The first Sim I had in my mind to create was a crazy cat lady & her feline family. So, without further adieu, I introduce to you... Maddie McMew and Company- of 1 Vista Ridge Lane in Tres Lagos - ^ That's not the ONLY cat food dish in the kitchen, believe me. It's a pretty much a part time job for Maddie to keep the cat bowls full (and don't get me started on how much time she spends keeping the bowls, the beds & the litter boxes clean ). - Maddie wears her Crazy Cat Lady tee with pride - You'll probably notice lots of cat art on the walls around her place. Yes, she's a fanatic for felines. Socrates & AmbrosiaKallistosShambalaShambala is an instigator. She seems, more often than not, to be in the midst of most of the cat fights. Mystique- Downtime at the McMew residence - Family Info: All 5 of the cats have careers and help to keep the household in cat food ($). Maddie is a stay-at-home "mom" & artist who sells her paintings to help make ends meet. She spends most of her days tending to her kitties, training them and working on corrective behavior, when not at her easel. For the most part, they are all very well behaved and no trouble at all... Well, except for the occasional cat fights that break out. But Maddie is working on some of her fur babies' hostility towards one another. I thought it would be a LOT harder to manage a Sim fam with 5 felines, after not playing with Pets (or even playing much at all these past few years), but it's really not that difficult (so far). I think having Sim kiddos in the house is definitely more of a challenge than having pets. That's all for now. I should have some time to load up my game this morning before my l'il Peanut arrives this afternoon. | |

| Fun idea, Sugah! Your household reminds me of the families Chase makes when he plays. He likes to create lots of pets too, especially cats! That's a fun idea to have the pets out making the money while their caretaker stays home. I agree, sim pets are much easier than sim children. Glad to see you're playing again. | |

| Love the "Downtime" pic. Ahhhh... to get them to sleep... On a good morning, I get to sleep until 5:45 before I have to get up and feed Mr. Morris! In 1998 I met such a "cat lady". She only had 3 (Tony,Audrey, and Alex) but I hated cats! She had pictures on the wall, potholders, spoon rests, the whole 9 yards! Oooooooo! What's a guy to do? Well, in the end I married that cat lady and she and I and felines Stella and Morris are living happily ever after! | |

How cool that Chase likes to create cats, Em! Baylee does, too. She couldn't believe I didn't have Pets installed in my old puter game and kept insisting I SHOULD! - Em wrote:

Can you believe the bank account was below $200 when the family first got settled in and now it has over $16,000 Simoleons? This is just from what the 5 cats have earned and a few quality paintings Maddie sold. She has maxed out Creativity and now earns top dollars for her art work. I have a few minutes to post the latest goings on at the McMew cottage before Parker's arrival. Talk about a set of wheels! Ambrosia rides in style (she's a stunt double). You know, Ambrosia is my one cat who is almost starving before she eats. I can't figure it out. She's not a doofus and is quite successful in her career and well behaved in almost every way. But she waits until she's half-starved to chow down, even though the bowls are kept clean and full. Any thoughts on this issue, folks? Speaking of clean bowls, it's pretty much a full time job for Maddie to keep them sparkling. She doesn't even need to study cleaning. She's almost maxed out that skill by just tending to the kitty bowls and litter! Can you believe, even with 5 cats, Ms McMew had time to train Sophie the Stray to shake? I'd forgotten how hilarious it is to watch the critters get trained to "play dead". Love this! That's Socrates and he is at the top of his career, earning $770 daily in the Pet Corps. I hate to choose favorites, but I do believe he's mine.

Isn't that a wonderful way for things to work out! When I met Randy, one of the first things he asked me was if I like riding motorcycles. I said I loved it, and did he like dogs. He said he loved them. The perfect match. Em, my niece always made lots of pets, too. She never could understand why doing things with the pets didn't increase her sims' fun (or barely did) because SHE found it so much fun both in the game and in real life. Sugah, so glad you're playing and having fun. I, too, thought I needed to have all my downloads sorted and installed before beginning to play. Problem is, between that and seeking out downloads because I'm kind of bored with some of the old ones, it could take forever. I love the crazy cat lady idea. Ambrosia is particularly gorgeous, IMO. The Play Dead thing always makes me laugh. I'm easily amused.

| I am not how You manage to keep Your sim going with all those cats to take care of.
As for Ambrosia not eating until she is near starving... My bet would be she is a finicky pet. EA screwed up the code doing with finicky pets. Put simply a finicky pet was suppose to refuse to eat from the bowl if it was the cheapest or was dirty, Unless their hunger was extremely low(near empty). Unfortunately the part that detects if the bowl is the cheapest wasn't made right and so finicky pets refuse to eat from all bowls.
I have been trying to make a fix for that but I have been unable to make one up to this point. I did make a temporary fix, Which does seem to help with the problem. I basically upped the point at which finicky pets will eat from the bowl. Instead of not eating from the bowl until they are near starving, I changed it so they will eat from the bowl if their hunger is at 50% or less. I could upload it if there is any interest in such a mod.
