Thanks guys! I love playing university. It's the best age! I use TwoJeffs' ACR...I disable the autonomy because I'm a control freak, but it does allow my simmies to have much more realistic romantic lives Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 774807

They weren't really lost in that scene Jackie. They'd just gotten out of the car and I took a picture, and I found that their faces kinda looked like they didn't have a clue what to do next, so I decided they were lost. lol! After all, it was only their second day in the new town.

I love the VW bug too. I have an uncle here who has a 1967 Beetle in mint condition with the original engine. Of course, we live on a small island so you really can't run up the same kind of mileage as in a big country.

Well, let's take a peek at the boys' first few days at Fiesta Tech.

I sure will. I'll package them up and post them before Christmas. I'll package them as adults for those who don't have university. It's easier for everyone that way.

I'm at work right now, but I uploaded some more photos to photbucket last night and I'm on a lunch break, so I'll share them now. I'm already a year ahead of you guys (my Rogues are now sophomores) and I'm trying to catch you up. It's so hard keeping all the exciting happenings to myself! lol!

Anyway, back to the campus:

The boys live across the street from Ophelia (Marc's ex. I don't know if you remember, but they agreed to end their relationship in the summer before they headed off to university), her cousin Maxine (Cassie's sister) and Stara (Marc's cousin).

Stara, a family Simmie is majoring in economics and likes tinkering (she was a townie by the way)

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_19886dee_9a0b2112

Ophelia (remember she was the one with the colourful bedroom). Well.....she's studying fashion design.

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_19886dee_7a0b19a8

Maxine, in pre-law is late for class. I love her new look. She chopped off her hair and lightened it with nice chocolatey highlights.

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_19886dee_da0b215d

Ophelia is a great cook, so the boys are always dropping by. The guy with his back to the camera is Akil, Maxine's uncle! (will explain that later).

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_19886dee_ba0b2c0b

He's actually one of the guys from the Maxis Fiesta Tech fraternity. Naturally I made them all over completely, and in Akil's case gave him parents and a past.

Oh...ok...a teaser. Salome's parents (Maxine's grandparents) are divorced elder professors. They got divorced because Professor Fadil cheated on his wife Professor Tamara with the much younger Professor Calista. He then married Calista and had a second family around the same age as his own grandchildren! It was over 20 years ago, and while Professor Fadil's children have a chilly relationship with him, the third generation are all cool with each other. I didn't play any of that story. I just created the memories in all the simmies involved before I started playing. So that the pre-packaged ones and the NPCs have a history.

Anyway, Maxine is only now getting to know her 'uncle' Akil, but I think the reason why he visits them a lot is because he has three bolts for Ophelia. laughin

[Remember Ophelia is Maxine's cousin on her dad's side of the family, so she and Akil aren't related to each other]

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to mess around with SimPe! Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 99672

Anyway, Akil came out rather cute. I think somebody needs to pick up that bowl off the floor. Kyle, do you mind?

I finally got caught up. I was 5 pages behind! Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 729422

There are too many things to say, so I'll just say what strikes me most. Your sims are just incredibly gorgeous! Every single one of them is just droolable. Some of the ones that stick out to me the most are John Burb. Holy cow - if my John looked that good I might have actually be interested in playing him. And Andre! Yum. Your lucky simself, lol. And Brandi (Burke?). Brandi is my favorite maxis sim. In my very first time through Sims 2, she married my precious Jeremy, who was a family sim and gladly took on her brood - then added more of his own! I've always had a soft spot for beautiful Brandi - and yours looks so pretty. I'll be looking forward to seeing more of her. Oh yeah, and Teresa D'Angelo - gorgeous!!

Your decorating! Omg I am just blown away! You put so much thought and detail into every single corner of every single shot. Everything just looks so real with a backdrop like that. I hate decorating, so I am always blown away by people who can do it - and your shots are just so beautiful.

I'll be interested to see how Kyle manages college - if he'll keep his thoughts on his work, and his girlfriend back home, or if he'll wander...

On a side note...
ilikefishfood wrote:

Ari, have not played Titan Quest, but will check it out.

Sugah, I'll package up the boys before mid-week for exclusive upload here. Will let you know when they're done. I have to make sure I package them with clothes and hair and bodyshop stuff that're free.

-----

A quick update to see how they boys are spending their first couple of weeks at university, and if Kyle is managing to remember that he has a girlfriend back home in Christophe Harbour!

:wigglypig:

Joey is still going steady with lovely Shoba Ramchandani.

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_1986ee0f_5a0d3e99
She's over at their place alot, and always cleaning up.

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_1986ee0f_9a0d3c53
In fact the boys seem to attract a lot of female help around the house. Here's Carmen Garcia, Marc's cousin (his dad Michael's niece) whipping up a little lunch for the boyz (she's a dormie). A popularity sim, she's got three bolts for Kyle AND Max!

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_1986ee0f_d9ac31c6
On another afternoon, we find Caryl Chen (also a dormie) preparing a meal. She likes Marc (her thoughts are giving her away).

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_1986ee0f_fa10259a
And Lilith Pleasant, amicably split from Damien Duval (Dirk Dreamer) is not a particularly good cook so she's helping with the cleaning. Marc likes what he sees!

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_1986ee0f_1a10248b

Lililth, like a her Dad, is an athlete and plays basketball for the Fiesta Tech women's team. She's buffed up pretty nicely too, hasn't she? (I love Beosboxboy's Athletic Girl skintone!). I wonder who she's interesting in.

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_1986ee0f_da1024dd
Bingo! Unlike Caryl, our girl Lilith let's her intentions be known.

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_1986ee0f_1a1024ec
Now there's an interesting situation brewing!

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_1986ee0f_1a0d51fc

I swear this happens whenever Ophelia is over! lol! Of course all three are romance sims so it's not that surprising. But she is Marc's ex! I mean, I know they're BFFs and he's clearly interested in Lilith, but surely it'd be weird if she was dating his roommate! And of course one of them does have a girlfriend! Not that he seems to remember......*sigh*

Sigh. Kyle, Kyle, Kyle. You have some growing up to do. Out of sight, out of mind, eh?

And thank the god of simming you changed Lilith's nose. I agree with what you said earlier about those two not looking like they could have spawned from Daniel and Mary Sue. What's even worse than the nose Maxis put on those twins' faces are their offspring - who always are super schnozzy in my game. I meant to tell you how lovely your Mary Sue was, also. Beautiful.

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 558785 guys!

Ari, all the Pleasant twins needed was a nose job and new eyebrows. I left their receding chin, because I didn't want to completely change them. or make them too perfect. I quite like my Mary Sue too, Ari. Thanks for noticing!

I did some work on most Maxis-made simmies, some much more than others. I also use default skintones, eyes and eyebrows. The only one that I didn't touch facially was Don Lothario (he's quite good looking) but I gave him a Slim Body builder skintone, and all I did was make Daniel Pleasant's lips a bit fuller. He too got an SBB skintone and different hair.

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_cdae71fd_19dfd74a

While we're talking about the Pleasants...Remember Angela and Dustin got married before they finished high school and moved in with Daniel and Mary Sue. So they grew up and got the 'never went to college memory.'

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_cdae71fd_59e0d1b7

Dustin did manage to graduate nonetheless and is attending the police academy. Angela finished high school by correspondence courses. As I mentioned in an earlier thread, she hopes to apply to the army when baby Sean becomes a toddler.

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_cdae71fd_798ae78a

Carolyn, Cassie, Marco and the others are back at school, now seniors. I placed an invisible recolour of the charisma podium inside the desk using the moveobjects cheat, to get the teacher to 'lecture' the class. I think it's so funny that he seems to be telling them not to get involved in crime. How appropriate for a classroom full of teenagers.

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_b8bd600b_b9d607ef

This is their teacher Mr. Julian. Not bad eh?

Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 Snapshot_b8bd600b_b9d605c0

I love this shot. I was busy taking pictures and noticed that Andre had gotten up and was peering out the window. I rarely see that! I love when my simmies surprise me.

I always thought both Don and Daniel were nice looking Maxis fellas. And a more muscular physique certainly fits Daniel since he's in athletics. He's quite handsome. I'm sure it fits Don, as well. Who ever heard of a ladies' man with a scrawny body and no chest definition? Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 99672

Could I trouble you to tell me whose default eyebrows you use? I need to get me some as I get tired of all my spawn growing up with maxis caterpillar brows.

I love your classroom! It looks so real - not to crowded but just enough stuff to look authentic. Very clever to use an invisible podium.

I know you said earlier that college is your favorite time of a sim's life - I feel the opposite. I absolutely hate it because it takes so darn long. And I hate that every single sim goes into aspiration failure (or close to it) because they didn't get to go to college. Not everyone wants to. And what I really hate, is that you send them to college for such a long agonizing time, just to start working toward their lifetime goal of reaching the top of a career they didn't even need a degree for. UGH! Why couldn't maxis have made some 'reach the top of the paranormal' career lifetime aspirations or something? Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 971462

Anyhoo - sorry to come to your thread and rant, lol. Lovely job so far. I like the shot of Angela and Dustin slow dancing while their little cherub sleeps under his little mobile.

Haaaaa Jackie! Oh my Don Lothario is really fun to play. He's a bad boy, but it's more interesting to play simmies like that.

You don't need SimPe to make your simmies look that way. Do you use default skintones and eyes? That makes a big difference in the simmies' appearance. I also use makeup on everybody! I have nose mask makeup, various types of shading for eyes and faces, makeup that adds a glow to the faces, lipstick that looks natural but enhances the shape of lips etc etc.

As for their actual facial features, you can use the plastic surgery machine that comes with one of those base game careers (I forget which one). I use the same plastic surgery feature on two Jeffs' simBlender. It looks like a plant, but it has tons of lovely 'features' (ok, cheats), that allow you to add and subtract skill points, personality points, change zodiac signs, reset temperature (if you have seasons), change relationships, etc. If also allows you to change the appearance of or do plastic surgery on any simmie on the lot.

Ari you can blow off steam in this thread any time you want! lol! I love the interaction!

The set of default eyebrows that I use is actually one that was done by corvidophile a couple of years ago and were since moved from MTS, but I found them on her/his inactive site Sirona Sims.

I use TwoJeffs' education adjuster to have the simmies I don't like that much barrel through university...and the ones that I enjoy playing so much that they run out of time, I reset the time they have to final exams.

The adjuster looks like a pile of phone books, and gives you the option to set the major, semester, GPA. semester grade, add skill points (in case your student needs them to get their grades out of the red) and set hours to their final exam. If you keep their motives up, they can be done school in one day!

Oh and yes! Don's a looker with his buff bod. There're a few shots in the earlier pages of this thread. Here he is enjoying a soda. I changed him to an athletic career too. I just didn't think it was terribly dignified to have a doctor behaving the way he does.

I didn't have time to comment on the education adjuster before I went out of town - but believe me I've already got it installed and used it to get the royal children into private school. My game was glitching, and the headmaster would show up when called, but then leave without coming in. I have read over at MATY, that sometimes if you call the headmaster, then save the game before he arrives, you could get this glitch. Though I've never gotten it before now, it's pretty common. They recommend that you call him and wait until after your kids are accepted to save the game. But now, thanks to this handy little item, I don't need to call him at all. I will, just to make sure he's working properly, but after that, he is history! I can't believe I missed this. I've been to Simbology millions of times and have many of their hacks/fixes in my game, but somehow managed to repeatedly overlook that one. Maybe it's because since it had to do with college, I just disregarded it, as I avoid sending students to Uni as much as humanly possible. Life in Christophe Harbour - Page 6 598258 So thank you, thank you, for allowing my royal and noble kids to go to private school and sail quickly through college as well. They thank you, too.

By the way, Don is HAWT!! And thank you for the eyebrow link. I'll probably use them.

Oh you're most welcome Ari. I've never had any problems with it at all, and I use it all the time. So what private school uniforms will the royal children wear? Do you have defaults for that too?

The clothing tool to the best of my knowledge doesn't clash with anything, and it's much quicker than the rack because the simmie doesn't go through the whole browsing animation before trying on each item. They don't even approach it. I stash mine under my houses or in my attic even. I use it to also frequently change my simmies outfits. Did I mention that they don't have to buy them? All clothing shows up and you just pick. Have fun!

I've always wanted to try a themed hood. It'd be like a whole other game I think.

Well, I think I'll squeeze in a quick episode of the Fiesta Tech follies.

Ok....I have to get a paper towel and wipe the drool off my face. That is the biggest group of gorgeous guys I've seen in quite awhile, lady. I especially like the last pic of them getting ready for a night on the town. I am sure there is a line of followers wherever they go.
