| Hello, Forum Friends!
Mac and a few of our other beloved SP family members have inspired a project I'd like your thoughts on.
Those of you who have downloaded some of our Sims - and have been kind enough to give them virtual lives - have often married them to other Sims downloaded from SP. I thought it would be a really neat idea if we started a section where we could share what the offspring of our joined SP Sims look like. I think it'd be a fun experiment in Sims 2 genetics! It's also a way to share the descendants of any Sims created by Toni, Elle, Ulli & Sugah ... as well as retired creators, Jen, Ari & Russ. Oh, and because Em has been with me for so long, I'd like to include any Sims she has created and bestowed upon SP, too! I have no doubt our creative team would get a big kick out of seeing the children (and even grandchildren & great grandchildren) of our Sim models.
What do you think?
The rules would be simple:
1. Provide the name of the original Sim(s) downloaded exclusively from Sugah's Place. 2. Provide the link where you found the Sim(s), if possible, so others can download him/her if they'd like. 3. Share (in game) images of the happy SP Sim couple(s), preferably up close and personal. 4. Share (in game) images of the offspring of the happy SP Sim couple(s), close up and front view, esp. 5. Snapshots should be no wider than 675 pixels please.
That is all I've worked through so far.
Btw, I can not take credit for the name of this project. Hunter (of Basic) and Nonni (of Affinity Sims) attempted to start a similar experiment in Sims 2 genetics about 5 years ago. That is what inspired the name "The SP Offspring Project".
Your feedback is most welcome & appreciated. If we have enough Simmers interested, I will start up a new section for it soon!
Many thanks, Sugah

| Thanks, Tim! Might you be joining us, if we partake of such a project? | |

| Yaaay! Thank you for your input, Cher! I have been communicating with Mac about this subject, and he seems excited about our SP experiment in genetics, too! | |

| How long has Sims 2 been around??? And to think that I only started having my sims have kids around 2 to 3 years ago! It's a whole new dimension and excitement. Both DDG simmies like Ruth Aster to aesthetically challenged but lovable simmies like Agatha Peel (see this page for pics of both of them). You never know quite what to expect. ( ? ?) This new thread should be a fun one! | |

| The Sims 2 was first released on September 14, 2004 for Microsoft Windows, Mac. I didn't start playing TS2 right @ it's inception, but in around February 2007, I believe. And you? Did you begin enjoying Sims 2 when it first came out, Sir Mac? - Captain wrote:

...This new thread should be a fun one! Yaaaay! I am glad you are excited about the whole concept. I love a good experiment in Sim genetics. I need to let Em know about this thread, because she has always appreciated this subject, too!

| I knew the name of this project sounded familiar. I forgot though that it was Hunter and Nonni who were sharing the offspring of their sim kids. (I knew a couple of friends of ours had teamed up on the idea.) Sounds like a fun idea! I'm not sure if I will participate myself. I haven't been simming much lately. But if I find myself wanting to start some new sims families, I'll keep this in mind. I look forward to seeing the results of this project! | |

I look forward to seeing the results of this project! I know that you've always been fascinated with Sims 2 genetics, Em. I figured this might be a project you'd be interested in. And, hopefully, upon seeing the results of some of our members' experiments in SP genetics here... You'll be inspired to get in on the fun yourself!

| OK, Sugah Baby, I have all the planets aligned for my Simmies to start producing Offspring.
Where do I show my results? I know it is a dumb question, it may have been in my face all along.
