I dedicate this one to all of you fabulous ladies. I was sitting here this morning drinking my coffee and got to see the sunrise. It just made me think about this song and how with each new sunrise, it starts a brand new day. I have been through a lot this past year and half with Ted getting sick, going through chemo and then losing him in September to that awful six letter word cancer. I also know that I am not the only one who has had a really tough time and some of you lovely ladies have had ups and downs too. I love this song as it was our favorite one and every time I feel down, I pop it in and it lifts my spirits. I hope it does the same for you. Big Hugs
"Here Comes The Sun" The Beatles
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right
Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right
Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right
It's all right

Oh, Jen, thank you for sharing what you have and for that lovely dedication. I used to sing that song to my youngest when she was smaller, only I'd take out "darlin'" and slip in her name.
I know you have been through much and have had a rough, challenging time of it this past year. My heart goes out to you, my dear lady.
I feel so fortunate and blessed to have such strong, wise, warm, compassionate, witty women here (oh, and that includes our Jackie). Thank you for being such an important part of this forum, my friend. I am honored to know you.

Sugah took the words from me Jen.
Despite what ails me, I always stay mindful that others face challenges.

I know what you mean about Jackie Sugah.......but it cracks me up because I said "Thanks Ladies" once and he was included in the bunch my message was meant for.
I think the "family" here at Sugah's is absolutely awesome. We're all fun, thoughtful, creative, dedicated and empathetic people. A forum could not ask for more.

Living life is fun and we've just begun
To get our share of the world's delights
High hopes we have for the future
And our goal's in sight
No we don't get depressed
Here's what we call our golden rule
Have faith in you and the things you do
You won't go wrong
This is our family Jewel
We are family.....I got all my sisters (and brothers ) with me...

I heard The Pointer Sisters' We are Family on the radio yesterday and thought of all of you, my friends. Great choice, Hunter. I've always loved that song.
Should it be our forum friends' motto here?

Oh I think that was the perfect choice, I love that song too and never grow tired of it either....
I just really, really like this song and always have. I do just love her voice and I have been listening to her CD a lot here lately. It has a different meaning to me now but I wanted to share it with everyone...
So here goes..
Do What You Have to Do - Sarah McLachlan
What ravages of spirit conjured this temptuous rage, created you a monster, broken by the rule of love? And fate has led you through it. You do what you have to do. And fate has led you through it. You do what you have to do.
And I have the sense to recognize that I don't know how to let you go.
Every moment marked with apparitions of your soul. I'm ever swiftly moving, trying to escape this desire, the yearning to be near you. I do what I have to do. The yearning to be near you. I do what I have to do.
AND I have the sense to recognize that I don't know how to let you go. I don't know how to let you go.
A glowing ember, burning hot, AND burning slow. Deep within, I'm shaken by the violence of existing for only you.
I know I can't be with you. I do what I have to do. I know I can't be with you. I do what I have to do.
And I have THE sense to recognize But I don't know how to let you go. I don't know how to let you go.

Awesome choice, Jen! I LOVE that song AND Sarah McLachlan's voice. The lyrics are so moving and the melody so pretty. I can understand why it has a special, intense meaning for you, and I must admit, it makes my heart ache thinking about it.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful song with us, dear lady.

I have always liked this song. All of us are who we are because of the support from someone in the background - be it family or friends. This is for all my friends that have supported me through the good times and especially the bad. You have truly been the wind beneath my wings. "Wind Beneath My Wings"
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. It must have been cold there in my shadow, to never have sunlight on your face. You were content to let me shine, that's your way. You always walked a step behind.
So I was the one with all the glory, while you were the one with all the strength. A beautiful face without a name for so long. A beautiful smile to hide the pain.
Did you ever know that you're my hero, and everything I would like to be? I can fly higher than an eagle, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
It might have appeared to go unnoticed, but I've got it all here in my heart. I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it. I would be nothing without you.
Did you ever know that you're my hero? You're everything I wish I could be. I could fly higher than an eagle, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
Did I ever tell you you're my hero? You're everything, everything I wish I could be. Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
Oh, the wind beneath my wings. You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings. Fly, fly, fly away. You let me fly so high. Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings. Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.
Fly, fly, fly high against the sky, so high I almost touch the sky. Thank you, thank you, thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings.

Oh, Deb! That's a great song! I love it. And what a beautiful dedication!
Today was my oldest daughter's 29th birthday. I would like to dedicate this song to her. Ever since she was a toddler, it's reminded me of My Beauty.
---
She's Got a Way - Billy Joel
She's got a way about her I don't know what it is But I know that I can't live without her
She's got a way of pleasin' I don't know why it is But there doesn't have to be a reason Anyway
She's got a smile that heals me I don't know what it is But I have to laugh when she reveals me
She's got a way of talkin' I don't know what it is But it lifts me up when we are walkin' Anywhere
She comes to me when I'm feelin' down Inspires me without a sound She touches me and I get turned around
She's got a way of showin' How I make her feel And I find the strength to keep on goin'
She's got a light around her And everywhere she goes A million dreams of love surround her Everywhere
She comes to me when I'm feelin' down Inspires me without a sound She touches me and I get turned around
She's got a smile that heals me I don't know what it is But I have to laugh when she reveals me
She's got a way about her I don't know what it is But I know that I can't live without her Anyway

I STILL love this song. I love Nickelback. Chad Kroger has such a MAN'S voice. I never seem to grow tired of hearing him sing.
If Today Was Your Last Day - Nickelback
My best friend gave me the best advice He said each day’s a gift and not a given right Leave no stone unturned, leave your fears behind And try to take the path less traveled by That first step you take is the longest stride
If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late Could you say goodbye to yesterday? Would you live each moment like your last? Leave old pictures in the past Donate every dime you have? If today was your last day
Against the grain should be a way of life What’s worth the prize is always worth the fight Every second counts ’cause there’s no second try So live like you’ll never live it twice Don’t take the free ride in your own life
If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late Could you say goodbye to yesterday? Would you live each moment like your last? Leave old pictures in the past Donate every dime you have? Would you call old friends you never see? Reminisce of memories Would you forgive your enemies? Would you find that one you’re dreamin’ of? Swear up and down to God above That you finally fall in love If today was your last day
If today was your last day Would you make your mark by mending a broken heart? You know it’s never too late to shoot for the stars Regardless of who you are So do whatever it takes ‘Cause you can’t rewind a moment in this life Let nothin’ stand in your way Cause the hands of time are never on your side
