| OMG! You weren't kidding about the beautiful children! I am floored and oh so happy! Because, as we all know, sometimes beautiful pairs do not make pretty kids. Take my Shalimar, for example. I picked her for an Apocalypse challenge because I thought she would make pretty kids. Her husband was gorgeous. The kids were...not. They had noses that were too short . And in that challenge, I wasn't allowed to do makeovers. It took me 3 generations to breed it out! But this crew - wowsa! Thank you so much for posting these - I feel like such a proud mama! And your house is stunning! I love your decorating tastes - so many pretty colors and accents always in just the right places. Beautifully done. | |

OMG! What a lovely family! And I left Tatiana and moved on after playing just 5 days! Now and then I do break out and play a family for a lot longer and really enjoy it - I think I'll have to do it more often! BTW, you have Tatiana as a Family sim - what are her zodiac, career, and hobby?

| OMG! Those are officially the best looking in-game kids I've seen! And ALL of them! Just beautiful! Jen's right Ari...you made a lovely Sim, and so did you with Sam, Jen! Now...the house is lovely. And that living room sofa set is delicious. Where oh where is that tasty morsel from Jen? The texturing is amazing! Mac, I've been meaning to say, I LOVE seeing the real you! You're quite the looker there yourself, youngster! | |

Agreed! And it's really beautiful too! And what's a Toni-post without goodies. Found this sweet Make-shifty looking tub...and if you ever decide they could use a home made hot tub, it doesn't get much better than Huge Lunatic's Red Neck hot tub with some nice recolours HERE.

Oh sweetie, you can always go back and play her again (don't know if that is worded right) She is a Leo, her hobby is Sports (too funny) and her career is in the medical field.... Sam is a Sag, his hobby is tinkering and his career is law enforcement... Toni wrote - Quote :

i know I am being biased but they are a very lovely couple together. I was totally shocked that all of their children came out looking so beautiful. I was hoping for at least 1 of 3 but I am very, very happy that they are such gorgeous kids. BTW, she is now offically pregnant and I might force twins just to see what happens or I might take pity on her and let her have just one. She and Sam sure do want another baby..hahahaha! - Quote :

Thank you so much!! I will look for that couch next time I fire my game up. I will tell you that I used the moveobjects on cheat to make it a sectional though. So it is two put together and I know that there are quite a few color choices for the cushions and pillows :)) It took me forever to find that wallpaper. I actually had to download a house that i didn't want just to get it but it was sooo worth it!! Thank goodness for Sims 2 Clean Installer :)))It is a set of 4 panels. - Quote :

- No matter what they are, all my sims ever want to do are piddly nature related things that don't award many points. So they're all mostly unhappy, lol.
Mine too. - Quote :
- That's the main reason I let everyone have phones (even my peasants) in my RKC - because I theorized that they would simply walk to each other's houses to visit
I think some of my peasants have phones. I try to avoid them, because I guess I don't want them just talking on the phone. But they are handy for inviting someone over and some of my Founders teens wanted to sneak out with each other, but they weren't able to because no one had a phone. - Quote :
- I like the other things it brings to the game, as well, such as fertility and how it's affected by age.
I think ACR (at least the version I have) also changes fertility based on age. I noticed their "try for baby" rates drop as they get older. I found a roundabout way for having teen pregnancies. Once my sims become sexually active I make them "independent teens" with Insim. They still look like teens, but the game treats them as adults, so they can get pregnant. I even aged a pregnant girl up to adult in the middle of her pregnancy and she didn't lose the pregnancy (I don't think she's given birth yet. I had to quit before I got to that point). - Quote :
- Eeeeeeeeew....Ari that is so monumentally gross!!! Poor baby! Probably totally traumatized!

- agree with you about the random aspirations - yearning for more - except for the wealth bit. These kids don't really understand what money is.
Even if they don't know what money is, wealth sims might just have the desire to have more . . . more stuff, more food, more fish, etc. More than what their neighbors have. - Quote :
- I've taken full advantage of Inge's Flexi-school hack (a wonderfully beautiful mod that I wish I had when I was filming stories with children - what a pain that was to work around their school schedule).
I love that mod. Thanks for sharing the link with me. I have a feeling I'm going to be using it all the time. I'm glad you got the skintone issue worked out. Your kids are beautiful. I like that pretty winter scene too. I'm going to have to check out those hottubs. One of my simmies rolled up the want for one.

I use Gradient Flare for the sunshine images in my piccies and the softglow effect on some of them too. One day I will get really creative and play around with it more to see what else I can do :)) I downloaded Gimp on my old Dell and liked it for some things, but never truly learned my way around the free program. You know, once you start playing around with it and learn how to create even more awesome effects ... It'd be neat if you'd consider doing a little "How to Create Beautiful Screenshots Using Gimp" tutorial for those of us who could really use some help with showcasing our creations, or our Sims tales images or just our game shots, etc., etc. Something to think about m'lady. And I agree with everyone else here about lovely Tatiana and handsome Sam and the beautiful children they have produced. They are one stunning family, Jen. You and Ari have created 2 gorgeous Sims that have brought forth absolutely adorable, precious kiddos. Not to mention, the amazingly fabulous home you have designed/decorated for them. I remain in awe over your talent for putting together such awesome, lovely Sims rooms/abodes. Thank you for sharing what's been going on in your game with us. PS You never seem to amaze me regarding all the lovely treasures you find to adorn your Sims' lots. The wallpaper/murals and decor are particularly fabulous in Tatiana & Sam's beautiful home.

| Thank you so much Lady S!!! They are a very handsome couple and I am just so tickled with them. The whole family has such funny personalities..... I am working on a new house. I saw a house similar to this on another site but alas the creator is no longer playing and the link is not good to download it anymore. So I decided to try and build it myself with a few modifications (seeing how she was a WAY better house builder than I am) However, I did finally master a split level stair case....whoo hoo!! If I had only known that all you had to do was use the stage instead of a foundation while in build mode, I would have been doing this a long time a go..... I have been working on this house off and on for a week now and I am not done. It took several attempts to get everything to come out just the way I wanted it but it is now probably one of my favorite houses I have built so far. I am back on a shabby kick again, I just can't stay away from all of those beautiful pastels and all the little cluttery goodies that make it so... Here are a few piccies. I adore the Muppets and fell in love with these pictures (they are on the pineapple picture mesh) | |

| Well, I have decided to build a big massive house on the lake....
I have gotten so used to building smaller ones that this one seems HUGE but that just give me more reason to fill it with cluttery goodness...
I will post some piccies when I am finished :)

| Well, I did it again - forgot to comment to your comments - sorry guys. I'm not deliberately trying to be rude - I'm just about as spacey as a person can get, I think, and with a heavy dose of ADHD to boot! Toni - awesome links! I may have to take advantage of those - they would fit in pretty well. And I have many, many of Michelle's awesome recolors in my medieval games. I have her to thank for so many wooden recolors of things that I need and couldn't seem to find anywhere else. Em - I think you're right about fertility. I think it's from ACR and not InTEEN as I had thought. But I know for certain that InTEEN has other goodies that I like in my game - like risky sneak out - which actually resulted in one of my teen girls getting pregnant by a neighbor boy in my MCC. That was a fun surprise. And yes, I can see how a sim might want more than his or her neighbor - that's probably a trait that dates back to the cavemen - more resources=better chance at survival - so a fortune sim would fit the mix pretty well. So what am I doing in my game these days? I started a Prosperity Challenge before Christmas break. It's still very fresh and new and I have pictures to post - but I'll make a new thread in the challenge section for that. I think my attention span is getting worse - I keep starting projects and get distracted by other projects. I remind myself of Dug, the dog in the movie "Up", who, in mid-sentence, often shouts, "Squirrel!" I shout "Squirrel!" all the time and my husband and I joke about it. I just can't stay into one thing for very long, but need several things to choose from. Anyway, as I always say, I'm not abandoning any of the projects I've started, but will probably do a bit of jumping back and forth as it suits my fancy. I'll be getting back to my Prosperity soon, and will introduce you all to the hood - hopefully this week. The kids go back to school Tuesday, so I'll have a little peace and quiet this week (if no hiccups occur) and I'll be able to work on a post with pics. I don't have much patience for it these days But you'll never guess what I've been doing this past week. Go ahead and try, I'll wait. I'll hum the Jeopardy theme while the gears turn audibly in your heads. Give up? Every once in awhile I like to get back to basics - where my entire Sims gaming started. Before Sims came along, I was solely an RPG gamer - often playing games such as the Diablo series, Baldur's Gate series, Might & Magic series, Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor - to name only a small handful of my favorites. The mood struck me to play Sims 1. I really miss the music and sounds of it sometimes, because it was my first experience with Sims - the very beginning of a brand new type of game that sucked me into a whole different world. Do you know I've never downloaded anything for Sims 1? I had thought about it, but never did. When I had the resources to get the entire box set, I had also gotten a new computer, so I bought Sims 2, instead. But every once in awhile I play Sims 1 for short periods of time because I miss it. This week I've been exploring the fabulous world of downloads for Sims 1. I've been having a lot of fun with the game for the time being. Who knows how long it will last, as I could suddenly get tired of it (I have a bad habit of doing that), but I'm actually turning over the idea in my head of adding an expansion or two. I would post pics, but honestly it's very hard to take good pics of Sims 1. But playing it is keeping me busy and entertained, so that's good. It's also helping my sanity level, which is being stretched. | |

| Don't worry about not responding. I didn't even realize that you didn't. It's hard to keep up and keep track of everything. When I uninstalled TS1, I never looked back, but once in awhile I run into something that makes me nostalgic for it. Like Buddy Holly music. For some reason when I learned you could add custom songs to the music station, that's what I put in. "I'm Looking for Someone to Love" reminds me of how I used to have a bunch of sims over on one lot and just watch them interact. Did you know some of the music from the original game is in The Sims 2 as well. I think it's with the shopping radio station that came with OFB. I had some sims turn it to that station just for the nostalgia. I don't remember how much CC I had for TS1, definitely not as much as I do for TS2. I used to make some of my own cc. Heads, clothes, even objects. It was fun. I may need to go through my backup disc and see what I have. If you do take any pictures I wouldn't mind seeing a couple, just for the memories. | |
