This is the second single off of Maroon 5's new album (will be out Sept 21). I heard it the other night at their concert and love it. It's just a sexy beast...lol
Give a Little More
Now you've been bad, and it goes on and on and on 'Til you come home babe, 'til you come home Now you taste past the poison you learn to love is gone I'm all alone baby, I'm all alone
I'm waiting for something, always waiting Feeling nothing, wondering if it'll ever change And then I give a little more, ooh babe Give a little more, ooh babe
I'm not falling in love with ya, I'm not falling in love I'm not falling in love with ya, I'm not falling in love 'Til I get a little more from you baby Get a little more from you babe
You were wrong for turning me on and on and on And on and on You make it so hard
I'm waiting for something, always waiting Feeling nothing, wondering if it'll ever change And then I give a little more, ooh babe Give a little more, ooh babe
I'm not falling in love with ya, I'm not falling in love I'm not falling in love with ya, I'm not falling in love 'Til I get a little more from you baby Get a little more from you baby
I have no defense I know you're gonna get me in the end (gonna get me in the end) And I cannot pretend I never want to feel this way again
I'm not falling in love with ya, I'm not falling in love I'm not falling in love with ya, I'm not falling in love Till I get a little more from you baby Get a little more from you babe
I'm not falling in love with ya, I'm not falling in love I'm not falling in love with ya, I'm not falling in love Till I get a little more from you baby Get a little more from you baby

Chuck, thank you for stepping up to the mike! Good job! Jen is right. The Doors have such a distinctive sound. That's a classic! Good choice!
Jen, I absolutely LOVE the lead singer of Maroon 5's voice. That stage is awesome, isn't it? I really like that song, too.
I always forget how much I enjoy the sound of that band. Thank you for sharing, m'lady.
Oh you are most welcome!! Love their new CD, it is pure awesomeness!!!

I went ahead and had our youngest daughter p/up Maroon 5's latest cd last night, since she was already at Target. I'm so looking forward to listening to it today, Jen. Thank you for recommending it. I'm a big fan of theirs, just as you are.
I've sure been hearing "We are Family" on the radio a bunch lately, ladies. It sooo reminds me of my sistas here. I miss you, Elle and Hunter.
IRT-
This song was playing on the radio the other day. I've always loved it and had forgotten about it completely, til I heard it again. It never fails to move me.

Bring On The Rain by Jo Dee Messina
Another day has almost come and gone Can't imagine what else could wrong Sometimes I'd like to hide away somewhere and lock the door A single battle lost but not the war ('cause)
Tomorrow's another day And I'm thirsty anyway So bring on the rain
It's almost like the hard times circle 'round A couple drops and they all start coming down Yeah, I might feel defeated, I might hang my head I might be barely breathing - but I'm not dead
Tomorrow's another day And I'm thirsty anyway So bring on the rain
I'm not gonna let it get me down I'm not gonna cry And I'm not gonna lose any sleep tonight
Tomorrow's another day And I'm thirsty anyway So bring on the rain
Tomorrow's another day And I'm thirsty anyway So bring on the rain
Bring on, bring on, the rain
I'm not gonna let it get me down I'm not gonna cry And I'm not gonna lose any sleep tonight
Bring on, bring on, the rain

Oh I didn't know that song but I do like it. Thank you for sharing it :)
I hope you enjoy the new Maroon 5 CD as much as I do my friend. I got my sister one the other day and she loves them as much as I do.
Ok so I will step up to the mike now
I absolutely love this man's voice, he reminds me of Joe Cocker with the rhaspy sound. This song moves my soul so much.
Let it Be Me - Ray Lamontagne
There may come a time, a time in everyones life where nothin seems to go your way where nothing seems to turn out right there may come a time, you just cant seem to find your way for every door you walk on to, seems like they get slammed in your face thats when you need someone, someone that you can call. and when all your faith is gone feels like you cant go on let it be me let it be me if its a friend that you need let it be me let it be me feels like your always commin on home pockets full of nothin and you got no cash no matter where you turn you aint got no place to stand reach out for something and they slap your hand now i remember all to well just how it feels to be all alone you feel like youd give anything for just a little place you can call your own thats when you need someone, someone that you can call and when all your faith is gone feels like you cant go on let it be me let it be me if its a friend you need let it be me let it be me

I discovered this young man by mistake and I am so glad that I did. He just happens to be James Taylor and Carly Simon's son
Ben Taylor
Surround Me Love surround me with all your reach Now while we’re here alone Now our bodies are ocean and beach Blessings of waves and stones
Floating a lonely sound You found me And now that the tide is finally down Surround me Surround me Surround me
And love move for me Flow beneath the sky Shadows and silver cross your face Pools of moon at night
Weak from standing on sandy ground You found me And now that I’ve finally fallen down Surround me Surround me Surround me
Love surround me while you can Until these waves grow cold I’ve gone TOO DEEP, I cannot stand I burned before I froze
Running to save my life Believing you Now in the heat of this dreadful dry I’m needing you Surround me Surround me Surround me

i think I'll step up to the mic!
If I die Young by The Band Perry
If I die young, bury me in satin Lay me down on a, bed of roses Sink me in the river, at dawn Send me away with the words of a love song
Uh oh, uh oh
Lord make me a rainbow, I'll shine down on my mother She'll know I'm safe with you when she stands under my colors, oh and Life ain't always what you think it ought to be, no Ain't even grey, but she buries her baby
The sharp knife of a short life, well I've had, just enough time
If I die young, bury me in satin Lay me down on a, bed of roses Sink me in the river, at dawn Send me away with the words of a love song
The sharp knife of a short life, well I've had, just enough time
And I'll be wearing white, when I come into your kingdom I'm as green as the ring on my little, cold finger, I've Never known the lovin' of a man But it sure felt nice when he was holding my hand, there's a Boy here in town says he'll, love my forever Who would have thought forever could be severed by The sharp knife of a short life, well I've had, just enough time
So put on your best boys and I'll wear my pearls What I never did is done
A penny for my thoughts, oh no, I'll sell them for a dollar They're worth so much more after I'm a goner And maybe then you'll hear the words I been singin' Funny when your dead how people start listenin'
If I die young, bury me in satin Lay me down on a, bed of roses Sink me in the river, at dawn Send me away with the words of a love song
Uh oh (uh, oh) The ballad of a dove (uh, oh) Go with peace and love Gather up your tears, keep 'em in your pocket Save them for a time when your really gonna need them, oh
The sharp knife of a short life, well I've had, just enough time
So put on your best boys and I'll wear my pearls

Beckylynn, thank you so much for stepping up to the microphone and sharing this song with us. I'm thinking there are words of wisdom in these lyrics: We must make the most of whatever time we're given ... whether it's twelve years, twenty years or one hundred.
JEN!!! I finally had an opportunity to play the latest Maroon 5 cd all the way through. I love, love, love it! I like every single song on it, which is unusual for me.
Thank you so much for recommending Hands All Over to me. I'm totally enjoying the helloutta it, m'lady.

This sound fun so lets see.... The Naked Eyes Always Something There To Remind me
I walk along the city streets you used to walk along with me, and every step I take reminds me of just how we used to be. Well, how can I forget you, girl? When there is always something there to remind me. always something there to remind me. As shadows fall, I pass a small cafe where we would dance at night. And I can't help recalling how it how it felt to kiss and hold you tight Well, how can I forget you, girl? When there is always something there to remind me. always something there to remind me. I was born to love her, and I'll never be free. You'll always be a part of me.
If you should find you miss the sweet and tender love we used to share. Just go back to the places where we used to go, and I'll be there Well, how can I forget you, girl? When there is always something there to remind me. always something there to remind me. I was born to love her, and I'll never be free You'll always be a part of me. 'cause there is always something there to remind me. always something there to remind me. always something there to remind me.

Thanks Sugah now lets see. I love this song ever since I heard it in Beaches.
========= The Rose Bette Midler =========
Some say love it is a river that drowns the tender reed Some say love it is a razer that leaves your soul to blead
Some say love it is a hunger an endless aching need I say love it is a flower and you it's only seed
It's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance It's the dream afraid of wakingthat never takes the chance It's the one who won't be taken who cannot seem to give and the soul afraid of dyingthat never learns to live
When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long and you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong Just remember in the winterfar beneath the bitter snows lies the seed that with the sun's love in the spring becomes the rose

Oh, what a fabulous choice! I have always loved that song. Terrific "chick flick" movie, too, btw.
Thank you for sharing with us. Great choice, hon!
This is one of my fave songs of all time by one of my fave singers of all time. It doesn't get any better than this, folks. I LOVE IT!!!
Overjoyed
Over time, I've been building my castle of love Just for two, though you never knew you were my reason I've gone much too far for you now to say That I've got to throw my castle away
Over dreams, I have picked out a perfect come true Though you never knew it was of you I've been dreaming The sandman has come from too far away For you to say come back some other day
And though you don't believe that they do They do come true For did my dreams Come true when I looked at you And maybe too, if you would believe You too might be Overjoyed, over loved, over me
Over hearts, I have painfully turned every stone Just to find, I had found what I've searched to discover I've come much too far for me now to find The love that I've sought can never be mine
And though you don't believe that they do They do come true For did my dreams Come true when I looked at you And maybe too, if you would believe You too might be Overjoyed, over loved, over me
And though the odds say improbable What do they know For in romance All true love needs is a chance And maybe with a chance you will find You too like I Overjoyed, over loved, over you, over you

I got a song a sad song
===== Carole King ------ So Far Away =========
So far away Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore It would be so fine to see your face at my door Doesn't help to know you're just time away
Long ago I reached for you and there you stood Holding you again could only do me good Oh, how I wish I could But you're so far away
One more song about moving along the highway Can't say much of anything that's new If I could only work this life out my way I'd rather spend it being close to you
But you're so far away Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore It would be so fine to see your face at my door Doesn't help to know you're so far away
Traveling around sure gets me down and lonely Nothing else to do but close my mind I sure hope the road don't come to own me There's so many dreams I've yet to find
But you're so far away Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore It would be so fine to see your face at my door Doesn't help to know you're so far away

Most everyone I know hates this song but I LOVE IT and it's catchy so I step up to the mic with "Stuck Like Glue" by Sugarland
"Stuck Like Glue"
Mmmm better...mmm better... Absolutely no one that knows me better No one that can make me feel sooo goooood How did we stay so long together? When everybody everybody said we never would And just when I I start to think they're right That love has died...
[Chorus] There you go making my heart beat again Heart beat again Heart beat again There you go making me feel like a kid Won't you do it and do it one time? There you go pulling me right back in Right back in Right back in And I know-oo I'm never letting this go-ooo
I'm stuck on you Whutooo whutooo Stuck like glue You and me baby we're stuck like glue Whutooo whutooo Stuck like glue You and me baby we're stuck like glue
Some days I don't feel like trying Some days you know I wanna just give up When it doesn't matter who's right fight about it all night Had enough You give me that look "I'm sorry baby let's make up" You do that thing that makes me laugh And just like that...
[Chorus] There you go making my heart beat again Heart beat again Heart beat again There you go making me feel like a kid Won't you do it and do it one time There you go pulling me right back in Right back in Right back in And I know-oo I'm never letting this go-ooo
I'm stuck on you Whutooo whutooo Stuck like glue You and me baby we're stuck like glue Whutooo whutooo Stuck like glue You and me baby were stuck like glue
Whutooo Whutoo
You almost stay out too stuck together from the ATL Whutooo Whutoo
Feeling kinda sick? Just a spoon full of sugar make it better real quick
I say Whutooo Whutoo Whatcha gonna do with that? Whutooo Whutoo Come on over here with that Sugar sticky sweet stuff Come on give me that stuff Everybody wants some Melodies that get stuck
Up in your head Whutooo whutooo
Up in your head Whutooo whutooo
Up in your head Whutooo whutooo
Up in your head Whutooo whutooo Whuthoo whutooo Stuck like glue You and me together say it's all I wanna do I said
[Chorus] There you go making my heart beat again Heart beat again Heart beat again There you go making me feel like a kid Won't you do it and do it one time There you go pulling me right back in Right back in Right back in And I know-oo I'm never letting this go-ooo

Kieth Urban Put You in a Song ============== Well here you come again and you’re lookin’ so fine You don’t notice me but it’s alright I’m just a guy who wishes that I could be your man someday Yeah a picture paints a thousand words it’s true But it’s still not enough for how I feel about you I wanna put you in a melody, I gotta set you to a groove
I wanna put you in my car and drive And turn you up loud, roll down all the windows and shout it out I love this girl oh If I could press play, repeat how happy I’d be Wherever I’d go I’d have you there with me You’d be right where you belong I wanna put you in a song, oh oh oh Well I’d sing about your smile and your pretty blue eyes The way your hair shimmers in the sunlight It’d be so easy I’d just write it from my heart ‘Cause I gotta tell the world what you mean to me Wrap you up in a melody so you’ll be Stuck in my head all day ‘Cause you’re already there anyway, yes you are
I wanna put you in my car and drive And turn you up loud, roll down all the windows and shout it out I love this girl If I could press play, repeat how happy I’d be Wherever I’d go I’d have you there with me You’d be right where you belong I wanna put you in a song And if I get it right everybody’d be singing along yeah And when they see you on the street they’ll say Hey ain’t you the girl in that song
I wanna put you in my car and drive And turn you up loud, roll down all the windows and shout it out I’m in love with this girl Yeah if I could press play, rewind a couple million times Imagine for a moment that you’re all mine Every night I’d drive you home If I could put you in a Let me put you in a song Let me put you in a song Oh a pretty little song about you baby

ok this song i heard on a internet radio station have not heard it in a long time though.
Strawberry Wine by Deana Carter
He was working through college on my grandpa's farm I was thirsting for for knowledge and he had a car I was caught somewhere between a woman and a child When one restless summer we found love growing wild On the banks of the river on a well beaten path Funny how those memories they last
Like strawberry wine and seventeen The hot July moon saw everything My first taste of love oh bittersweet Green on the vine Like strawberry wine
I still remember when thirty was old My biggest fear was September when he had to go A few cards and letters and one long distance call We drifted away like the leaves in the fall But year after year I come back to this place Just to remember the taste
Of strawberry wine and seventeen The hot July moon saw everything My first taste of love oh bittersweet Green on the vine Like strawberry wine
The fields have grown over now Years since they've seen a plow There's nothing time hasn't touched Is it really him or the loss of my innocence I've been missing so much
Like strawberry wine and seventeen The hot July moon saw everything My first taste of love oh bittersweet Green on the vine Like strawberry wine

Well to get in the spirit of Christmas I going to share one of my favorite Christmas songs...
Happy Xmas (War Is Over) John Lennon
So this is Xmas And what have you done Another year over And a new one just begun And so this is Xmas I hope you have fun The near and the dear one The old and the young
A very Merry Xmas And a happy New Year Let's hope it's a good one Without any fear
And so this is Xmas For weak and for strong For rich and the poor ones The world is so wrong And so happy Xmas For black and for white For yellow and red ones Let's stop all the fight
A very Merry Xmas And a happy New Year Let's hope it's a good one Without any fear
And so this is Xmas And what have we done Another year over A new one just begun And so happy Xmas We hope you have fun The near and the dear one The old and the young
A very Merry Xmas And a happy New Year Let's hope it's a good one Without any fear War is over, if you want it War is over now
Happy Xmas

I absolutely heart this song and never get tired of it...
I love George Michael's voice and this song is so haunting, full of emotion...
Turn A Different Corner
I'd say love was a magical thing I'd say love would keep us from pain Had I been there, had I been there
I would promise you all of my life But to lose you would cut like a knife So I don't dare, no I don't dare
'Cause I've never come close in all of these years You are the only one to stop my tears And I'm so scared, I'm so scared
Take me back in time maybe I can forget Turn a different corner and we never would have met Would you care
I don't understand it, for you it's a breeze Little by little you've brought me to my knees Don't you care
No I've never come close in all of these years You are the only one to stop my tears I'm so scared of this love
And if all that there is, is this fear of being used I should go back to being lonely and confused If I could, I would, I swear

Cooler Than Me - Mike Posner
If I could write you a song to make you fall in love I would already have you up under my arm I used up all of my tricks, I hope that you like this But you probably won't, you think you're cooler than me
You got designer shades just to hide your face and You wear 'em around like you're cooler than me And you never say "hey" or remember my name And it's probably 'cause you think you're cooler than me
You got your high brow shoes on your feet And you wear 'em around like it ain't kaka But you don't know the way that you look When your steps make that much noise
Shh, see I got you all figured out You need every one's eyes just to feel seen Behind your make up nobody knows who you even are Who do you think that you are?
If I could write you a song to make you fall in love I would already have you up under my arm I used up all of my tricks, I hope that you like this But you probably won't, you think you're cooler than me

You got your high brow switch in your walk And you don't even look when you pass by But you don't know the way that you look When your steps make that much noise

Now don't you dare act like you know don't know Know what's up? 'Cause your nose is up I'm approaching up, pshh, yup Like I can't give you winter in the summer A summer in the winter, Miami in December
Trying to look bored in them Diors, she probably is Was acting shallow 'til she found out how deep that my pockets is Mrs. pre-Madonna, this is your reminder That I think you fine, but I'm finer
'Cause it sure seems ('Cause it sure seems) You got no doubt (That you got no doubt) But we all see (We all see) You got your head in the clouds (Clouds)
If I could write you a song to make you fall in love I would already have you up under my arm (Under my arm) I used up all of my tricks, I hope that you like this But you probably won't, you think you're cooler than me

^That song always gets me singing along and snapping my fingers.
IRT
I thought I'd share this song. As some of you know, Brian and I started out on a long time friendship. He once dedicated this song to me on the radio while we were just friends, but I never heard it because I don't listen to the radio at all except when my niece in town. He just actually shared this with me within the last few months. I thought it was pretty freaking cool.
I'm so happy to have my best friend wrapped up in a big, tall, gorgeous hunk of a man that I get to spend every night with.
