So glad you all are enjoying the tunes :) I have plenty more to share..lol
Here is one of my many favorite singers..
If you have never heard of Amos Lee, please do yourself a big favor and check him out. He is a simple blues, folk and jazzy mix kind of guy. I fell in love with him years ago :
Being a gal from the South I just happen to love this song a little bit more
Southern Girl - Amos Lee
Farewell my sweet Well the time that was coming The road has begun to move beneath my feet Good things come to an end Well I hope through the pain The heartache and strain we can still remain friends
Something about a southern girl Make me feel right In a Mississippi morning She's an angel in flight In a blink of an eye She'll be out of your sight Something about a southern girl
You're a soft melody Well I swear that I heard From a lost mockingbird stuck up in a tree We got a lot going on Even though I'm not here Please don't shed any tears for me day when I'm gone
Something about a southern girl Make me feel right In a Mississippi morning She's an angel in flight In a blink of an eye She'll be out of your sight Something about a southern girl
I never meant to leave you lonely It was only in your mind Girl, I never meant to leave you lonely It was only a matter of time
Something about a southern girl Make me feel right In a Mississippi morning She's an angel in flight In a blink of an eye She'll be out of your sight Something about a southern Something about a southern girl

I absolutely adore this singer and love this song. (I know my friend Elle Belle does too ;)
Paolo Nutini - Last Request
Slow down, Lie down, Remember it's just you and me. Don't sell out, bow out, Remember how this used to be.
I just want you closer, Is that alright? Baby let's get closer tonight
[chorus:] Grant my last request, And just let me hold you. Don't shrug your shoulders, Lay down beside me. Sure I can accept that we're going nowhere, But one last time let's go there, Lay down beside me
Oh, I've found, that I'm bound To wander down that one way road. And I realise all about your lies But I'm no wiser than the fool I was before.
I just want you closer, Is that alright? Baby let's get closer tonight [chorus]
Oh, baby, baby, baby, Tell me how can, how can this be wrong?
[chorus x2]
Yeah, lay down beside me.
One last time let's go there, Lay down beside me

Woah! You've shared some artists I've never heard of before, but THIS one... I really like his sound and this song is fabulous! I can so see why you and Elle enjoy Paulo Nutini. I can hear a Scottish (or maybe Irish) accent when he sings, but his name is VERY Italian. He has a nice face, too, btw.
I'm going to do more research on Paulo and his music. Do you have a favorite cd of his to recommend?
Thank you for sharing this beautiful song with us, Jen Jen.

I am so happy that you like him Lady S..
He is Scottish btw and his father is of Italian descent ;)
The album I have is from 2006 (which this song is on) called These Streets. I don't have his new one Sunny Side Up (yet)
I am so glad to introduce you all to some new music, I love to find and discover new people to listen to.

MUSE is one of my all time favorite bands, ever!
I have loved them before Twilight made them popular..
This is one of my favorite songs by them
Sing for Absolution lips are turning blue a kiss that can't renew I only dream of you my beautiful
tiptoe to your room a starlight in the gloom I only dream of you and you never knew
sing for absolution I will be singing And falling from your grace
there's nowhere left to hide in no one to confide the truth burns deep inside and will never die
lips are turning blue a kiss that can't renew I only dream of you my beautiful
sing for absolution I will be singing And falling from your grace
sing for absolution I will be singing And falling from your grace
our wrongs remain unrectified and our souls won't be exhumed

That song and video look familiar. Have you ever shared it with us before? I don't know Muse, so surely someone else must've shared it with me...
I've written down "These Streets" by Paulo Nutini and am going to look for the cd this weekend.

I think you will really like that CD my friend...
Here is a little mellow song for you all
Baby I'm A Fool - Melody Gardot (I just love her, she is a smooth jazz singer)
How was I to know that this was always Only just a little gama to you? All the time I felt you gave your heart I thought that I would do the same for you
Tell the truth, I think I should have Seen it coming from a mile away When the world you say are Baby, I'm a fool who thinks It's cool to fall in love
If I gave a thought to fascination I would know it wasn't right to care Logic doesn't seem to mind that I am fascinated by your love affair
Still my heart would benefit from A little tenderness from time to time but never mind 'Cause, baby, I'm a fool Who thinks it's cool to fall in love
Baby, I should hold on just a moment And be sure it's not for vanity Look me in the eye and tell me Love is never based upon insanity
Even when my heart is beating
Hurry up the moment's fleeting Kiss me now, don't ask me how
'Cause, baby, I'm a fool Who thinks it's cool to fall Baby, I'm a fool Who thinks it's cool to fall And I would never tell if you became a fool And fell in love

Here is a song that when I am feeling down it just makes me feel so much better. I cry every time I hear it on the radio. Here is Rascal Flatts - I Won't Let Go.
"I Won't Let Go"
It's like a storm That cuts a path It breaks your will It feels like that
You think you're lost But you're not lost on your own you're not alone
I will stand by you I will help you through When you've done all you can do If you can't cope I will dry your eyes I will fight your fight I will hold you tight And I won't let go
It hurts my heart To see you cry I know it's dark This part of life Oh it finds us all And we're too small To stop the rain Oh but when it rains
I will stand by you I will help you through When you've done all you can do And you can't cope I will dry your eyes I will fight your fight I will hold you tight
And I won't let you fall Don't be afraid to fall I'm right here to catch you I won't let you down It won't get you down you're gonna make it Yeah I know you can make it
Cause I will stand by you I will help you through When you've done all you can do And you can't cope And I will dry your eyes I will fight your fight I will hold you tight And I won't let go Oh I'm gonna hold you And I won't let go Won't let you go No I won't

I gotta a good one!
John Cougar Mellencamp Hurts So Good
When I was a young boy, Said put away those young boy ways Now that I'm gettin' older, so much older I love all those young boy days. With a girl like you, With a girl like you, Lord knows there are things we can do, baby, Just me and you. Come on and make it CHORUS: Hurt so good. Come on baby, make it hurt so good. Sometimes love don't feel like it should. You make it hurt so good.
Don't have to be so exiting. Just tryin' to give myself a little bit of fun, yeah. You always look so invitin' You ain't as green as you are young Hey baby, its you. Come on, girl, now, its you. Sink your teeth right through my bones, baby. Let's see what we can do. Come on and make it
Chorus
I ain't talkin' no big deals I ain't made no plans myself. I ain't talkin' no high heels Maybe we could walk around all day long, walk around all day long.
Thought I'd step up to the microphone and sing a song I've always liked.
We're In This Love Together by Al Jarreau
It's like a diamond ring it's a precious thing And we never want to lose it It's like a favorite song that we love to sing Every time we hear the music
And we're in this love together We got the kind that lasts forever We're in this love together And like berries on the vine it gets sweeter all the time
It's like a rainy night in candlelight And, ooh it's so romantic We got the whole thing working out so right And, and it's just the way we planned it
Today we're in this love together We got the kind that lasts forever Don't you know that we're in this love together And like berries on the vine it gets sweeter all the time
Don't you know we're in this love together We got the kind that lasts forever We're in this love together We got a lot of time for love forever and ever
Don't you know we're in this love together We got the kind that lasts forever Tell you that we're in this love together Why don't you find love that has broken the law
Don't you know that we're in this love together We got the kind that brings to mind a favorite song Don't you say that we're in this love together We got the time that makes us all night long, hey hey
We're in this love together.

In lieu of our recent trip to Oahu, I had to share this.
It is one of my fave versions of this song by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole of Honolulu. Israel Kamakawiwoʻole was a Hawaiian musician whose heart was as big as he was. At age 38, he died of weight-related respiratory illness on June 26, 1997. In December of 2010, Mr. Kamakawiwo'ole was named one of the 50 great voices on National Public Radio.
You have, no doubt, heard this version of Over the Rainbow on the Meet Joe Black, Finding Forrester or 50 First Dates movie soundtracks, if not on the radio.
Somewhere Over the Rainbow (as done) by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
OK this one's for Gabby Ooooo oooooo ohoohohoo Ooooo ohooohoo oooohoo Ooooo ohoohooo oohoooo Oohooo oohoooho ooooho Ooooo oooooo oooooo Ooooo oooooo oooooo
Somewhere over the rainbow Way up high And the dreams that you dreamed of Once in a lullaby ii ii iii Somewhere over the rainbow Blue birds fly And the dreams that you dreamed of Dreams really do come true ooh ooooh Someday I'll wish upon a star Wake up where the clouds are far behind me ee ee eeh Where trouble melts like lemon drops High above the chimney tops thats where you'll find me oh Somewhere over the rainbow bluebirds fly And the dream that you dare to,why, oh why can't I? i iiii
Well I see trees of green and Red roses too, I'll watch them bloom for me and you And I think to myself What a wonderful world
Well I see skies of blue and I see clouds of white And the brightness of day I like the dark and I think to myself What a wonderful world
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky Are also on the faces of people passing by I see friends shaking hands Saying, "How do you do?" They're really saying, I...I love you I hear babies cry and I watch them grow, They'll learn much more Than we'll know And I think to myself What a wonderful world (w)oohoorld
Someday I'll wish upon a star, Wake up where the clouds are far behind me Where trouble melts like lemon drops High above the chimney top that's where you'll find me Oh, Somewhere over the rainbow way up high And the dream that you dare to, why, oh why can't I? I hiii ?

Oh how I love that song Sugah.
Billy Currington Love Done Gone
Don't worry, baby, sometimes things change Nothin' we can do about it now, no way This doesn't come easy, but that's just life We can't keep pretendin' everything's alright We told each other it was love before The simple truth is it just ain't no more The bells stop ringin', the music won't play The crazy little feelin' that's faded away Like snowflakes when the weather warms up Like leaves on the trees when the autumn comes Like the dogwood blossoms in a late spring rain All the disappearin' bubbles in a glass of champagne Like a red kite lost in a blue sky wind I don't know where the good times end when It ain't nothin' we ever said or ever did wrong It's just love done gone I don't regret a single thing that we did Anytime together, we ever spent I wouldn't change a thing, baby, you know Sometimes we gotta just go with the flow Like snowflakes when the weather warms up Like leaves on the trees when the autumn comes Like the dogwood blossoms in a late spring rain All the disappearin' bubbles in a glass of champagne Like money in a slot machine Don't know what happened to you and me It ain't nothin' we ever said or ever did wrong It's just love done gone It's just love done gone It's just love done gone
