| It's been awhile, but I wanted to share a "sneak peek" of what I've been working on for this weekend's holiday themed update. I might be doing more, if time allows, but for now ... | |

| Thank you, Ari. I somehow missed your post. I've recently entered two challenges over at Claire's Inspiring Sims (one theme & one color challenge). I'll be offering these two sets in her forum when IS next updates. Experiment in Red & Gray Livingand Aunt Sophie's Rosey LivingOh, and as promised, here's Arwen close up in my game, Ms Faery. I have a few more projects in the works, including participating in Sim Lyrical, a challenge I really believe you Sims storytellers would be good at and enjoy. Go check it out if you haven't already. Today I spent some time @ YouTube checking out "How to create Sims movies/videos" tutorials. Some were quite helpful. I made plenty of notes, believe me. I'm also about to breathe life into a new family Elle & I are working on sharing AND hope to return to Sapphira and Reed Michael one day soon. AND I'm wanting to, inevitably, return to my Sugah's Swap Challenge, as I really want to succeed at it this time! So much Simming, so little time ... | |

| Yep! That's my newest version of self sim. I am so happy you are playing her. Arwen is a pretty name on her - I like it! Your recolors look fantastic! As always, you always have such sophisticated taste and use such a beautiful array of patterns and colors. Good luck in the contest! | |

| Thank you, ladies, so much for your compliments on my Experiment in Red & Gray Living and Aunt Sophie's Rosey Living sets. They are actually challenge entries, not contest entries. If you're interested in checking the color challenge out at Inspiring Sims, it's HERE and runs through mid-march. If you'd like to learn more about IS' theme challenge, click HERE. It also is running for another month or so. Claire and her staff are always coming up with fun, interesting challenges for creators & decorators to participate in. Btw, both sets will be up for grabs no later than tomorrow at Inspiring Sims in Sugah's Treasure Trove area. I'll be posting the direct links to the sets in Sites Featuring Sugah's Place Exclusives later this week, if anyone's interested in downloading them. | |

| For those of you who hang out in The Java Hut, you know I've been in the midsts of redoing our master bathroom here. Since late last year, I've gotten quite the education on many things, including different stones, both natural and man made. This is my first attempt in HomeCrafter at creating a wall using one of my absolute FAVORITE natural stones: Travertine. I've gone with a texture that I think is more of a Tuscan style as well as using a Noce Travertine tile. Noce means walnut in Italian. I am open, as always, for your thoughts. Hope to have an in game shot later today... Travertine Tuscany Noce | |

| Thank you, ladies, so much! I appreciate your feedback MUCHO. I found a site that has spectacular tile and am thinking I might do a whole set of floors (or 2 or 3) using it. Not sure I'll create a whole lot of coordinating tile walls, however, as this one took more time than you'd think. I created coordinating Travertine Tuscany Noce tile floor (a 1 x 1 and a 2 x 2 version) but have not tested either in game yet. The wall and the floor might be too busy together, but we shall see. I might be back to the freakin' drawing board next week! Again, I am grateful for any and all comments. So glad you like it! - Beckylynn wrote:

Found some BEAUTIFUL blush colored natural stone tile tonight. I think you'd like it.

| The floor tile is quite nice and looks realistic. I'd definitely be happy to have a coordinating floor. It seems that often I find a wall I want to use and then can't find a floor to go with it. It's so much easier when they come in sets! | |

I shall do my best to create coordinating walls to accompany the natural stone floors I'm going to do, Lady A. They might not be quite as involved as the Travertine Tuscany, but at least each floor will have a mate.

| I've finally loaded up the game to test my Travertine Tuscany Tile (wall & floor). I'm calling this little set "Keep Calm & Eat Cupcakes Dining". It is my entry in Claire's Inspiring Sims' color theme challenge this month. I'll also be offering it during her site's next update. Keep Calm & Eat Cupcakes Dining- closer - - bonus drapes and full view of wall & chairs - I think next time I do tile walls, I will try to put in a few accent pieces to work as a back splash above counters. It's a process trying to figure out how high or low to go with it, but I think I've got it figured out. (You'll notice the tile was a bit higher than the counter tops this time around.) Gonna load up Home Crafter now to do a set for this weekend's update!!! | |

| Ooh, I love it! Very pretty! But to me, it looks like it would belong better in a bath than a dining room. Or maybe a fancy spa / public bath type of place. (I can't think of the word I'm looking for.) I like it with the windows and the plants because it seems kind of natural and outdoorsy too. It's really gorgeous though no matter what room you use it in. | |

| I love your entries for Inspiring Sims' theme and color challenge. Beautiful work! Your travertine recolors are beautiful, but I do agree with Em's comment. They do seem better suited for a kitchen or bath rather than a dining room, but are beautiful regardless! | |

| Thank you, both, so much for your valuable input. The tile set was created for use in a kitchen actually. I agree with you that it would look best in a bathroom or kitchen. I just put together this little aqua-themed recolor for the challenge. It was originally going to be called a "kitchen set". However, I decided to name it 'Keep Calm & Eat Cupcakes Dining', because of the dining table/chairs. It didn't seem much like a kitchen set, since I didn't do any counters/appliances/much kitchen clutter, etc., etc. Plus I was too lazy to decorate the room completely like a kitchen. Am I making any sense whatsoever here? - Em wrote:

You two have made my day! I appreciate the feedback, as always. It's not too late to change the name of it to "kitchen". But does it qualify???What think you on this?

| I feel so badly for my Sims sometimes. The only time I ever load up TS2 is to take snapshots of my creations for SP. Poor Mirissa of Sri Lanka has been playing in the sand for months now. After I was done taking pics of my latest Bingo Mania entry, I decided to have her start studying (she wishes to be in the medical profession), then make a friend. Here she is with McKenna (our Sim of the Month for March) scrutinizing the Irish lass' sand castle building skills. Not sure if she's gonna win friends and influence people with that judgemental attitude. ... | |

| I feel bad for some of my sims at times too. Especially the sims who star in my stories. I play them a little bit, but I mostly just visit them when I need to take screenshots. It's sad they don't get a full sim life.
Mirissa is definitely taking a critical look at that sandcastle, isn't she? I think she looks like she's going to come up with a brilliant idea for it in a moment.
