| Hi Adrianna (aka Jen?) Thank you for thinking of me. I think I have most of Stefan's celebs listed. When I have some time, however, I'm going to probe some of the other sites listed. | |

| Increasingly, I'm using "interesting" sims from Hunter's site, this site, and SimsTR. Shanti, Tiona, Brogan, Dilyana, Safire, Amare, Marcello, Nico, Analize, Ashton, Devin, and Trinity for example. That's just naming a few, my apologies if your favorite creation is not on the (very short) list above. Are they celebrities??? Answer: Not yet! Also among my "celebs" are self-sims by Sugah and Milano. Others have submitted sims of Delphy, Hysterical, and Will Wright. They all have surely earned celebrity status! | |

| I've finally gotten back to my neighborhood, after being under the weather for the first week in January. At last, I have a chance to play some of the wonderful sims submitted on this site and Hunter's. I put Safire Huntress into the same house as Tamara Sloane. Roommates. I see Safire as a femme fatale - thus she is a Romance/Scorpio with a LTW of 20 WooHoo. Her career/hobby are Espionage/Dance. Tamara is more down-to-earth, a Popularity/Pisces with a Housekeeper career and a culinary hobby. Here they are: Tamara, Yoshi Sato from one of the Treks, Safire, Bruce Lee, and Brad Pitt. Later, Safire brought Sean Connery ("Bond, James Bond") home from work and it looks as if the spies are getting along. Then there's Trinity Huntsman - I love this sim. She is Popularity/Aries Law/Science. She reminds me a great deal of Janet (a non-celeb sim) from SimTR.com Finally, I am currently playing Amare Bekele (Knowledge/Aries I.T./Tinkering) he started in an Outer Space career, but that third-party career was flawed so now it's IT. Here he is with Colonel Mustard (with the candlestick in the library???), Rachelle - another non-celeb sim from SimTR.Com, and Jennifer Grey Many thanks to Becky Lynn, Astral Faery, Caleb_71, and Hunter for these wonderful creations. | |

| I forgot to mention, The brunette streak in Trinity's black hair is really beautiful! By the way, the two gentlemen with Trinity are Nicholas Cage and Fred Astaire. Meanwhile, Amare (career I.T.) brought Allison Hunter (recognize her? one of Hunter's creations) home since she is also an I.T. specialist. He's not quite logical enough for her yet but they do seem to get along.. Guys, never underestimate the power of a good backrub! | |

| I recently downloaded Miss February - Valera Aster (close enough to Astral Fairy). She's a Family sim, Pisces (a bit shy) with a LTW of 100K Simoleans. Her career is Creative Writing, and she's hoping to write some best-sellers to attain her LTW. Her hobby is, of course, Literature and Film. She's already started her first novel on Mr. Humble's computer, something in the Gothic sci-fi genre. Appropriately, she put on her best formal frock and invited over Jean-Luc Picard and Dr. Who (at least one version of him, who has already attained his LTW as a mad scientist). Here they are, enjoying a dinner she served as she toasts her new friends. As you can see, although she appears very demure in her pink sweater set, she is something else when she dresses to kill! | |

| Awesome. Valera can be a vixen when she wants to be. She's sure to rock the socks off her future mate, eh? Other than that - she's me, lol. The way you set her up, I mean. Except for the money want (I've never been that interested in having a lot of money), but I'm a family sim who wants to write a novel, and I love film and lit (and gaming), and I'm a shy Pisces. And it looks like she enjoys the company of intelligent men (I like geeky guys - smart is sexy!) How cool that you gave her a last name resembling my screen name - thank you! I recognized Jean-Luc Picard right away. I always thought Patrick Stewart was dreamy. | |

Except for the money want LTW are difficult for non-Maxis careers, you can't have a LTW of the highest level of the career, so you have to do something else. I mainly do one of the following: 100000 simoleans - fairly easy Max all 7 skills - really hard! 20 Best friends - also fairly easy 20 Lovers - a bit harder 20 WooHoo - I save this for the incorrigible romance sims I do tend to stay away from businesses, dates, children, and grandchildren for LTW - The family ones seem too involved, I really haven't played much with the OFB features, and 50 dates (first or otherwise) seems too superficial. So far, Jeremy Gique hasn't shown up at her doorstep. Hmmm... But then he already has a sweetie!

| UGH! I am so ashamed for being so far behind with everyone's Sim antics. Please forgive me. You know what I think is neat? When we download others' Sims we each look at them and may see someone different. For example, Miss February - Valera Aster (Ari's GORGEOUS Valentine Sim), is a shy Family Sim ... a Pisces in your game, Mac. So cool that Ari, in real life, is the same! Someone else may see Valera and think she looks like a bright, beautiful scholar (Knowledge Sim), etc., etc. I'm always interested to learn what personalities are assigned to our downloaded Sims. I love all your celeb AND non-celeb Sims. Your neighborhoods are filled with so many different & fascinating personalities. - Quote :

| I don't know the algorithm that the sims uses to determine who walks by a given sim's house. (Welcoming neighbors seem to be people from the same age group who live nearby - but that is different from the random walkbys) Sugah walked by and joined two welcoming neighbors here. The new sim is the brunette in the sweater dress. She's "Gulsah" from SimTR. It turns out that Gulsah is a reasonably common name in Turkey. Here I've named her "Gulsah Akkaya" after a professional womens' basketball player from Turkey. She's a Fortune/Pisces Athletic/Fitness sim. The others are Penn Jillette (not doing any magic here) and Tina Sym (no celebrity, just a cute redhead) Sugah then dropped in on Lesley Panettiere, the mother of Hayden. When I wanted a teenage Hayden in my neighborhood, I started a family with Hayden, then "adultified" the same sim for mom Lesley, and voila! I've since learned how to have a teenager start a household without an adult. I use sim blender - a useful gimmick (a potted plant) http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php?topic=20.0 which allows age selection, LTW selection, and activating career rewards. I only activate career awards, though, either if they have been earned and somehow lost, or for a very high Dance and Music hobby. Anyway, Lesley is high in an education career with a very high creativity score. Sugha and Lesley hit it off very well indeed and Lesley is now painting her portrait. I did make one goof, though, I used "Paint a Portrait" rather than "Paint Still Life" which means that Sugah has to show up each time Lesley wants to continue the portrait. "Paint Still Life" is the way to go - you can capture any image, pose the subject better, and even do a self-portrait (at the easel). | |

| Just to show what's possible with "Paint Still Life", here is Nicholas Cage doing a painting of Kate Beckinsale practicing her ballet. Note that in the picture below, he's painting an image he captured earlier, and her image in the picture below is a reflection in a mirror. (You can't have ballet without mirrors!) When you click "Paint Still Life", the game pauses and you are given a frame to select the image. In this case, he framed her practicing, then ran the game to get just the right pose, then selected it. You can also click on the subject and select "Pose". In addition, there are several third party hacks allowing other poses, including some which are - shall we say - interesting!. There is the possibility, which I haven't explored, of saving a picture like the one below, then using it as the subject of "Paint Custom Painting" - which will be of him painting a picture of her, then taking another snapshot of him painting a painting of him painting a picture of her, then... | |

| A note of caution... One thing about full-wall or really big mirrors is that they don't show up from the other side - they're just transparent. If you play as I do with either all walls down or just the exterior walls up you'll find that you think you are clicking on an object (like a bed or toilet or whatever) but you're really clicking on the invisible mirror. Thus you'll see the choices : Practice Romance or Check Yourself Out when you want the choices of the object you thought you were clicking on. You then have to rotate the display to get the mirror out of the line of fire. No biggie, and you do get used to it, but a littile bit annoying. | |

| I'm a bit averse to instantaneously maxing skills, etc. but that's a matter of taste.
The computer I really like is
http://modthesims.info/d/64137
It allows working at the computer to improve skills (and getting paid for it), a great e-mail option, shopping online, and banking. I no longer use kaching or familyfunds - I start my new sims with a mortgage that they have to pay off. Once they start making real money, they can put it into an interest paying savings account. I do all of my sims clothing shopping online as well. The e-mail allows you to send e-mails to as many sims as you have in your current list and adds 10 daily points to each. This is a quick way of handling acquaintances complaining about fading friendships as well as building up new acquaintances to the point where forming a friendship is really easy.

| Dear Marcello, You always seemed to have more fun than I, your younger brother. I remember helping you with your senior math when I was in junior high, then going home from the prom early because I had my DNA sequencing exhibit at the state science fair the next day. In college, the coach hoped that I'd go out for football and be a great running back the way you were - but I had chem and bio labs every afternoon. Then you got an exciting career in adventuring - fighting off terrorists, delving into caves, and even rescuing ancient artifacts. While I was spending long hours every night studying to stay in med school. Well, let me tell you something! I had only been an intern in the city hospital for a few days when the newly appointed chief of staff invited me home. I thought that she probably wanted to talk about prescribing and drug interactions or venous thromboembolisms or something. Boy was I wrong! She came on to me like a ton of bricks! She is a bit older, but she does have a striking resemblance to Sandra Bullock would you believe. OMG! OMG! OMG! This might just get serious. I'll keep you informed. Your younger brother, Nico Genni | |
