| Do you have any sites like eBay or overstock sites? Sometimes you can get great deals on older games. My nephew and I got almost all of our Sims 1 games using half.com, which is an eBay site. We often only paid a couple of dollars, or at most five dollars, plus $2-3 for shipping. Sometimes the shipping was even free. If you have something like that more locally so you wouldn't be paying for things to be shipped overseas, it would be a good way to start collecting the legal versions of the game. | |

| I want to give a HUGE shout out to Aaron who very patiently stayed with me the whole time I was trying to work though the Lucas Easy Bedding Texture Creator versus Windows 7 issue! Thank you, Aaron, for your willingness to help me figure it out and for ALL of your help on the matter. I couldn't have done it without you! That being said, LEBTC is now up and running (YAAAAAY! ) and here's the first bedding I created using the program... | |

| The sign keeps NPC burglars out very well. I've had a playable criminal character visit a site with a no-burglars sign and (via a hack) made them playable briefly. They have an additional option with the sign, but it doesn't destroy or disable the sign. It's in the "Decorative" area of purchasable items and costs 138.
No problems, except when I forget to put it into a lot and the #$&*#$% burglar shows up.

I just had my first burglar show up (since I've been playing on my new puter this week) at the lovely Karen Tatum's humble abode. She was so unconcerned, she let Officer Demi tackle Burglar Jessica, and went off to make dinner for herself! I shall close this thread. Case closed!

| When a burglar actually enters a protected lot, the usual burglar music starts but then is replaced by heavenly choir music If, like me, you run sleeping time in ultra speed, you'll find that the speed is set to normal and you have to reset it to ultra. | |

| Subject: Sims Medieval... Sat Jun 21, 2014 9:49 am | |
| The other day I found out Origin/EA was giving away a free game, told the wife, she went and got it called Peggle...At first I thought it was silly, but when she actually played it, it was kind of intriguing, so I went to get a copy...I found I still had the digital version to Sims Medieval on there. Throwing why-nots into the air I installed it on my computer and guess what...it actually works! *faint*
Now the question. Is anyone else here playing/played it? There doesn't seem to be a lot of custom content for it out there and a few posts I have seen says a lot of TS3's CC works with it. Found a 'wiki' on MTS and followed it on how to make CC work in game, but none of it is showing up. So I don't know what could be the problem with it, I got one file that was made for the game, that allows you to turn on/off pregnancies, enable same sex or allow males to get preggers. But can't seem to figure it out. I'd asked over there, but this is my Sims home so I figured I would try here, any ideas?

| The only person around here who has mentioned playing it, that I remember, was Ari. I don't think she played long. I've never heard about cc for Sims Medieval, so I can't help you, unfortunately.
I have a demo of Peggle on my Xbox. It's a pretty fun little game.

| Thanks Em! Well it took a bit of digging and the mod I download does work, but you need some direct x dll for it, because it is some kind of scripting language, so once I had that in the game folder, it started working! The skins I found for it, apparently will work, but you have to use a new simpe program that was written specifically for TS3 to change the names, but no mention as to what the names are inside of what packages or where to find them...*face palm* I will keep looking though. | |

| Subject: Origin Sims 2 Ultimate Collection downloads problem. [Solved] Sat Jul 26, 2014 5:18 pm | |
| Praise Origin and EA for the free complete set of Sims 2, I finally got rid of the pirate version I had earlier but the problems with downloads still continue. First things first: I am 101% sure I'm putting the CC in the right folder. The problem is that only some of it is showing up and apparently it doesn't matter whether it's a .PACKAGE or sims2pack or any other type of file. Most of the furniture I've downloaded shows up in the buy mode catalog, but in CAS none of the CC clothes or hairstyles I've installed show up in the selections. However, some of the hairstyles do show up when I use the randomize button and the random sims pop up, yet I can't see them in the hairstyle section. I've been trying to work this problem for like 3 days now and I'm out of ideas. I've reinstalled the whole game and just pretty much done everything that I've found out as possible solutions but I'm still ending up with only a fraction of the stuff showing up in my game. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance. | |

| Hi and thank you for your query. This is quite peculiar, Olppo.
Has anyone else who has downloaded the TS2 Ultimate Collection run into this problem? Has anyone heard of it being an issue from others or seen the problem presented on other boards?

| Hrmm...no...When the wife uninstalled and reinstalled the ultimate collection it is working, along with all the custom content...Since some of it is showing up, then you must have it turned on...Depending exactly what the items are...some problems could be missing mesh files...if CC needs a mesh not from the game, you have to have the mesh in your downloads...if it isn't then where it appears in your selection screen you wouldn't see it, you would see like a double of another item from that category. | |

| It really is very strange. Seems like all of the CC furniture that I have show up in the buy mode, but absolutely none of the CC hairstyles, skintones, eyes, makeup etc. display in CAS or modifying the look of the sim on an in-game mirror - and from what I know at least the skintones shouldn't require any meshes? I found out that a few Maxis recolor clothing items appear when I've put CAS in a debugging mode. Also, my Ultimate Collection insists on creating two EA games folders in the Documents of my laptop. They have same main folders but the other one has absolutely no content inside the few subfolders and I don't know why it's being created. I also didn't have Body Shop with the game, at least not in the Documents.
I'm just overall very confused and wondering what has gone wrong if your game works fine?

| Some skin tones do require meshes...some have been tweaked to give different body sizes...So yea, even skin tones can require a mesh. Eyes and makeup should not require a mesh. So not sure why they wouldn't show up...You got a folder in the documents/ea games/ultimate folder called downloads and everything is in it right? Don't know what it is creating another sub folder...but the downloads has to be in the folder for the game...also you mentioned sims2pack files...these are not game files...these are packed files that you have to click on and unpack. The game should handle that when you click on those files...that could be causing a problem if you are just dropping them into your downloads folder. The game won't read them and that content will not be in your game. | |

| Most of the content I'm trying to get into this game worked just fine on my pirate copy (even though it only properly installed the packed sims/lots with the clean installer). And yes I've unpacked all the sims2packs. I did add everything to the downloads folder and even to the SavedSims folder just in case but it just won't work out. I guess I should reinstall my game again and see if anything changes. | |

My game does that too, even before I had the Ultimate Collection, installing it from disc made the extra EA Game folder that's completely empty. Maybe it's a Windows 7 thing? I don't know if you have that version or not, but it's something that started showing up for me after I started using my current laptop. I've heard Bodyshop is with the game, but it doesn't automatically make a short cut to it in your Start menu and you wouldn't find it in your Documents folder, it would be in the Program files folder. You can search for it and then create a shortcut on your desktop. You have to use the version that's with the latest EP, if there's more than one .exe. I saw an article that gave instructions not long ago. I wish I remembered where it was. If you're unpacking sims2packs, they might not get installed to the right folder. It seems like I read somewhere that clean installer might point to the old location instead of the new location that the Ultimate Collection uses. You want to make sure it goes into "The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection" folder in your Documents folder (and then the "Downloads," which you might have to create yourself.) The old version of the game had files stored in a folder just called "The Sims 2" in the Documents folder. Mine seems to be working fine. If the files are unpacked, in the correct order, and you have cc enabled, I can't imagine what could be the problem. It's odd that some things should show up and certain times, but not others. Since it sounds like it's bodyshop type items, CEP wouldn't be the problem. Good luck!

| Update: after removing every 3rd party copy of the Body Shop and reinstalling the whole game my downloads are finally working as they should!! I'm only missing plenty of meshes but that's alright. Thanks for the concern and as a side note thank you for this wonderful forum and all the lovely content, I really enjoy browsing around and you're all very helpful!! | |

| Subject: Looking for a Jealousy Mod Mon Sep 08, 2014 1:07 pm | |
| I have an idea in mind for a mod I want in my game and I was wondering if anyone heard of anything like this or know of anything that might exist. I'm finding myself frustrated with the level of jealousy in my game for non-committed couples (or lack of it with ACR). I think it would be great if instead of slapping everyone involved silly whenever a sim catches their crush flirting with another sim or having asolutely no reaction at all, like with ACR, the sim would just lose some relationship points with the sim who is "cheating" and not completely damage their relationship with both parties. Does anyone know of any mods that provide more of a middle ground? Or maybe one that simply prevents the jealous sim from slapping the cheater. It would be great if some of the love triangles in my game could resolve them selves with less drama. | |

| If you have Insimenator (unsupported) or Sim manipulator mod (supported by Aaroneous) installed, I am sure there is somewhere a possibility to turn on/off jealousy for a lot, where your sims are currently at. It worked fine for me in both versions. | |
