Subject: I'd Like To Request A Wall Please Sun Jan 03, 2010 8:35 pm
I was wondering if it would be possible to request a Cherrywood Wall?
I'd like to use it as paneling for one of my rooms please.
Something like this would be perfect.
Thank you!

Absolutely, Ed! Let me see what I can do for you. Tomorrow is a Bay Day, but I should be able to start work on it Tuesday.

That's fine, honey.
I'm still putting it together in my head.
Oh, I forgot, can you flip the picture so the grain is going up and down instead of, across?

Sure! I will do a few versions using the wood you've chosen. Can you give me some more info on the room you're putting together? Perhaps I can customize it more.

I'm thinking about using it for like a den maybe using it as an accent wall.
I know I'm going to use it outside for accent.
It would never be used for doing an entire room.
Those are just some idea's popping into my head.

Hmmm...let me think about it. What other colors do you see using in the room?

I'm leaning towards a tan color. Maybe a beige.
Something along those lines.

Okay, let me see what I can do. I will try to incorporate several different styles and similar color shades to create a coordinating set for you. I've been looking for ideas for this weekend's update and will include your requested set in it!
Thank you, again, for the request, Ed.

Ed, this request got lost in the shuffle, as I was about to work on it when the crappola hit the fan here.
Are you still interested? Or have you moved on from needing this request? Either way, I'm totally cool with your decision.

Ed, now that you're doing walls, do you want to give this one a whirl? Please forgive me, for being so scatterbrained about this request.
I've not been doing as many updates as in the past. When I don't tackle something the moment it's on my mind, it gets lost in this gray matter I call my brain!

I would like you to do the walls for me.
You're better at it than I am.

I don't know about that, Ed, but I'll see what I can do. I'm so sorry for forgetting about this. I haven't been creating as much as I used to and have such a bad memory for things, esp. if I forget to write it down.

Ok, I've been looking through HomeCrafter and checking out paneled walls this morning, Ed. It appears Maxis already has a couple in exactly the color you are wanting.
Have you seen Mo'Hogany Wood Paneling?
How different are you wanting your paneled wall to be from this one, so I can get a better idea of what you want?

Subject: Is this a good tutorial? Sun Apr 25, 2010 11:45 pm
Hi everyone!
Hopefully, I'm posting this in the correct sub-forum. If not..."Live and learn", as they say.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone's used THIS method of making a self sim, as opposed to the MTS2 method:

Yes, this is the right place, Michael. I finally had a chance to watch the whole thing.
I've never attempted to do a true self Sim or celeb Sim and I don't have Photoshop. But if I DID, this tutorial looks quite easy to follow and is very well done. At least, that is my opinion. Plus, I love the music.
Have you tried it yet? I'll be interested to know what you think. Thank you for sharing this video with us.
Credits & thanks to vindicatedmess @ MTS2, also.
