| Maybe I just had lucky timing and didn't try to load up the game while the servers were down or if I did I might have been offline at the time. - Quote :
- Either way I find it easier not having to deal with the launcher.
Thanks again for posting the instructions.

| May I suggest that you use the no-CD launcher? That's what I use and I think it's great. If you're interested let me know what your latest EP is and I'll make it available to you. |

| Thanks so much Aaroneous you helped fix my game as well! I have pulling my hair out for almost 2 weeks trying to figure out what was happening with my game. I didn't even know that you could bypass the launcher. Although it did take me a few times to figure out what EP to use. When I used University it told me to run Mansion and Gardens but when I did that it told me to run University Life Collection and then I remembered I don't have the original University. I bought it after they bundled it with Ikea and Teen Style but it still didn't work then DUH! I remembered that I included the optional Sims 2 Store Edition to be installed on my PC. so I have to run The sims to Store Edition even though the store is closed. Confusing lol! But yea I got my game fixed so now I take pics of my stuff ready to upload at the site and my gifts to other sites as well! | |

| Thank you so much. You all are so awesome and helpful. I just love this place. I'm 60 years old, and my grandkids got me addicted on sims 2 because I love creating and designing things. I have Parkinson's disease, a small benign brain tumor, and a small hole in my heart which sometimes causes mini strokes. Playing the games are good therapy for me, and I'm inspired by all the talented people here in Sugah's place and I love it here so much.
Thank you for creating a beautiful and fun place to visit, and again, thank you for your help. Now, let me go try and play my game. One more problem, my e-mail has changed and I would like to know how I can update my new e-mail. Wishing you a lovely day. Debra

| Good info...I have gotten around it solely by clicking the play button before it has a chance to error out, if I 'forget' I have to close and then re-launch the game. When I get a new card I might go with Aaron's idea, sometimes I hate just having to sit and wait...LOL | |

| I want to thank you, again, for responding to Debra's query. I am grateful to have some very helpful, knowledgeable Simmers here. I needed to start up my game this past week and discovered the same issue when trying to load it up using my desktop shortcut. I have since changed the Target exe to the latest EP installed in this laptop (though I haven't tested it yet). FYI: I was able to bypass the start up issue by going to: Start > Right Click on The Sims 2 Freetime (the one I play off of in this puter) > Open. My game started up with no problem then. - Debra wrote:

| Subject: Can't delete stuff from BodyShop [Problem Solved...Locked!] Wed Jan 29, 2014 3:53 pm | |
| Hey folks, I need a little help. You know how it works, you downloaded recolors of your favorite hair with 5 shades of each color. Of course that you need only one shade from each color most of the time. And here comes the problem. I am not able to delete hair from bodyshop. I installed the game in September and for a long time I never use any downloads. I started filling my DL folder in December. Few days ago I found out that I can't delete hair from BS. Clothes, accesories, makeup, genetics, ... everything I can delete - but hair not. I tried to reinstall game, but still no change. Does anyone have any experiences or advices? Anything. I'm quite desperate... and my game is full of unnecessary files... | |

| From what I remember that's something EA broke in one of the expansion packs and never fixed it, It's been so long though that I can't remember which expansion pack did that. I know it takes longer to load then Bodyshop... But CAS should still be able to delete them. | |

| Interesting, I didn't know that. I think it's BV expansion pack, because it's the one I installed additionally. Maybe deleting in CAS should work. I'll try it. Thanks for reply :)
EDIT: It works! I can delete unwanted files in CAS. I used it only for putting sims into families, so it really made my day. But still prefer bodyshop thought... thank you for your help Aaroneous!

That is how I have always deleted unwanted genetics, fashions & hair, etc, in CaS mode. I am so glad Aaron was here to help and that your problem is solved, Anna! Thank you for helping, as always, Aaron. Case closed! Thread locked!

| All of my sims are collectaholics. All of them have something they are just obsessed with and they collect an unneccessary amount of decor with that item. I would like to add to their addiction with more suitable decor for their homes. Somethings I really need to get more of and it can be anything , pillows, bedding, nick-nacks , lamps, pictures, wallpapers, clothes, I don't care what it is on so long as they have the following :
Bunnies- Sammoyke loves the fluffy flopsy bunny rabbits so anything bunny rabbit related is so wanted, particularly anything that might look like a real bunny, I have downloaded both cat and dog pets that are morphed to resemble bunnies and these are cute but I would really like a semi realistic bunny prop I could just use for pictures too.
Giraffes- my girl amavanna is a giraffe lover, and I actually got way more giraffe stuff then bunny stuff but id still adore more cause there is never such a thing as "too much"
Penguins- my boy benny is a penguin lover, and yes he frequently meets up with the winter penguin and gives him a pet ( pictures pending that cuteness soon lol ) I have very little in the way of penguins stuff tho :( would really like to get more of that
Coffee stuffs - Sammoyke owns a cafe and is a coffee addict without shame I might add. Anyway I desire a plethora amount of more coffee stuff cause reusing the same props gets a bit boring at times.
The color purple - Literally anything with purple in it is Sammoyke's friend.
ANYTHING ocean and sea related . Pearls, sea shells, glass, messages in a bottle any kind of common or not so common little treasure that could be found on a beach is just awesome
And lastly but not least I really would like female to male conversions on a lot of accessories or style of clothing, such as earings, i really don't have a customizeable earing mesh for guys ( for girls i can make anything i want but my guys just don't have the meshes :( I would also like some more feminine style tank tops, you know the type that are longer and " dress length" also shorter shorts . And also damn near any outfit with "sexy feet" are just a treasure to me ( in love with the sexy feet mesh)
Edit to add anything with mickey mouse !
I know these requests are a little loosely descriptive. But these are the main items I really am interested in. If this is too much for one thread just tell me Ill limit to less things at one time lol. I don't want to put anyone through the trouble of MAKING anything specifically I just am trying to locate some treasures other people might have already found.

| Thank you for this request, Sam. My first question is, have you tried doing a Google search for some of these items? We would be happy to help, but I'd like to know what luck you've had with your search first. | |

| If you already haven't done so, take a peek at Mod The Sims. The "Download\Sims 2\Buy Mode" submenu has lots of stuff - probably most of it isn't of interest, but you might find something, or even something you weren't looking for. Many of us on this site have been "collecting" sims stuff for years and our games take longer and longer and longer to load. | |

| Yes I have brutally searched on google and alot of forums. I even have been stalking tumblr for all these said items, but when it comes to searching decor items it seems people get less specific in the descriptions so it gets harder to find some of these things. I am always on mod the sims and if its something from there ive prolly most likely already got it. I got sooo many feels on that load time, it takes 40 minutes for my game to fully load into neighborhood I've also edited my post to add disney specifically mickey mouse related items. I haven't been able to find jack crap wit little mickey! i don't know if im just searching the wrong thing, I usually try search phrases like " sims 2 decor *insert specifics* " Any suggestions at all would be just amazingly helpful. | |

| I am looking for very toddler style hair for both boys and girls, and toddler accessories, not just the pacifier . I have sooo many hair styles but on the toddlers they just don't look very natural especially the longer hair styles , id like no longer then shoulder length but I would also like some that just have like kid style tid bits, you know pony tails or barrettes stuff like that, Id also like anything for toddlers with bunnies, pinwheels, dinosaurs, you know toddler stuff , and when i make a toddler outfit on the sewing machine if there is customize fabrics i can add i would like to download some o.o if that is possible . | |

| Sam, I merged your request threads, since we prefer one per member going at a time. I started thinking about some of your needs and remembered these, if you're interested... For Sammoyke's cafe, perhaps some coffee art "Espresso Yourself" HERE. I did a set for Inspiring Sims called "Gray Zoology" which you can see images of & learn more about HERE. You will see the set has a bunny pic for Sammoyke and a stuffed giraffe and bedding with giraffes in it for Amavanna. (Though this set might be too cutesy for the kiddos than adult Sims. ) Sammoyke might also like these walls that have a pretty purple one (or two) included in the set: Mardi Gras, Winter Palette, India and Moda. When I have time, I will do a bit more research for you. There is a really neat set of beach type stuff like starfish, tortoises, crabs, etc., etc that sit upon the beach. Here is a pic so you can take a peek of some and HERE and HERE, but I can't remember for the life of me where Astral Faery found the set. If you are interested, I shall ask her for you. Just let me know! More to come... | |
