Thanks so much for sharing what's been going on in your game lately.

Just a quick update... I imported Caleb's Giacomo Ricci and Adrianna's Kiana and set them up as a married couple (only have to outfit one house). I was sure to make them compatible, he's a Popularity/Gemini Architecture/Tinkering and she's a Knowledge/Pisces Veterinarian/Dancing

This was their first evening at home after their welcoming visitors had left.

Aw, they make a cute couple.

It's great to see them intermingle with all of the celebrities in your hood.

I particularly enjoy the addition of Derek and Julianne Hough. I concur - they are 100% talented. Their choreography has always been the best on the show and I'm very sad that they are both not on the show this season.

Thank you again for bringing life to our Simmies. You're an amazing part of the Simming community.

Everyone should have an Aunt Zoe. Valera Aster has a sister Zoe, and one day her kids (she doesn't even have a sig other yet, but...) will remember their really neat and Bohemian aunt.

Let me introduce Zoe Aster, Valera's sister. While Valera is bookish, given to book discussion groups and writing Gothic novels, Zoe is all dancing girl, prancing about in a harem cossie, much to Valera's embarrassment. Here she is, entertaining Rachel Roberts and Giacomo Adri, while Orlando Bloom and Michelle Obama look on. She quickly became good friends with Michelle.



She threw quite a flirt at Giacomo, and soon won him over, too.



But he's a faithful guy. So she entertained both him and his wife, Kiana.


She has an ambition to become a world-class ballerina. You will notice that she has her hair up in a bun, like any proper ballerina should. (My wife who teaches ballet is a stickler about this - and will have surprise "bun-checks", rewarding those with proper buns with stickers - the coin of the realm for 8-10 year old girls). Also, you really need a mirror to check yourself in while you practice.


Zoe had her sister over, and Valera immediately got her involved in a book discussion! Maybe one day Zoe will teach some ballet moves to her.


They hadn't seen each other in a long time and are so happy to start up again!

YAY! This is so awesome, Mac! I love seeing my ladies having happy lives in your 'hood - thank you so much for sharing. I look forward to seeing more.

I love that the girls are pretty much opposites, but are trying to find things in common...
And despite their obvious differences, are still enjoying their reunion so much.

Now and then a sim comes by... Nerissa Almassizadeh is an EA NPC who became part of my neighborhood. Jesse Melcalfe encountered her, wooed her, became engaged to her, and she moved in. They were only one lightning bolt (maybe all of this happened before EA invented lightning bolts). They never did woohoo - to busy with their careers - she is a mad scientist and he is an athletic superstar. Then another femme walked by - another athlete - and she and Jesse were three lightning bolts. What to do???
But then I installed Nathaniel Broadswood-Smythe and just on a whim, I teleported him to her presence. Three lightning bolts! But this not by design, but they're both Virgo Knowledge sims, she likes black and custom hair and he likes logical and hard worker. Shazam! Here they are.



What a wonderful solution - Jesse goes with is new love and Nerissa now has Nathaniel. Since then she's moved in and they've had woohoo. Just one problem - notice that she's still wearing her engagement ring in the upper picture. He can't propose, since she's already engaged. There is a Breakup action, but it requires that their attraction be < 45. Sims is not All My Children. Arguing will reduce the attraction score somewhat, and the passage of time eventually will. Does anyone know a hack or a method to speed up the breakup?

I've become very fond of her - I did give her a new hairdo and lipstick and added eye makeup - she is pretty, but not a knockout.

BTW, Nathaniel is a Knowledge/Virgo Education/Film&Lit sim.

The sisters, Zoe and Valera are cute. Like Sugah said, it's neat that they're so opposite, but still get along with each other and try to find common ground. How neat to have all the celebs visiting their house too!

I'm glad Mr. Broadswood-Smythe has found a nice home in your game and a lovely lady to fall in love with too. It sounds like it's working out in the long run for everyone. I'm sure there is a break-up hack I've seen somewhere, but I'm not sure which site it's at. MTS, MATY, or Simbiology, maybe? If you have and are familiar with Simpe, you could change their relationship that way. Good luck!

You could use a mod like TJ's sim blender to remove the engagement flag...but that's too easy. If they can break up, then they get the memory of breaking up, which is better I think! Squinge has two versions of an easer breakup mod that makes the breakup option available all the time. One of them allows with breakup without very little hit to the relationship.

Enjoying the story of Nerissa and Jesse and Nathaniel and what's-her-name. So what IS Jesse's new love's name anyway? :wigglypig:

I used the breakup hack recommended by ilikefishfood to break up Jesse and Nerissa. Incidentally, the .txt file included in the hack includes the fact that it was tested by ilikefishfood. Downloading and installing the hack was much easier than executing it. Nerissa cried so bitterly. I really have become fond of her. Jesse was a rat and I almost felt like one, too.


Meanwhile, here is Jesse and his new squeeze, Gulsah Akkaya. She is a contribution to www.simstr.com, a site from which I've downloaded any number of my femme sims, although recently that site seems to have a lot of wan, anorexic, and sad-looking sims. (Not so Gulsah). BTW, Gulsah is a common Turkish name, and the name of a professional basketball player who plays for a Spanish team. She is Fortune/Pisces Athletic/Fitness. They have three lightning bolts both ways.


All's well that ends well, though. Nerissa Almassizadeh and Nathaniel Broadswood-Smythe are very happy together (also three lightning bolts). She is unsure if (really when) they get married, whether she will keep her shorter maiden name. In which case, would their children be
Broadswood-Smythe-Almassizadeh?

What a tragic love story. But I'm glad everyone had a happy ending and all the sims have blooming romances now. Gulsah is a beautiful sim.

Yes...I was a tester for most of Squinge's mods back in the day. In fact I was a tester for many of those early mods (inSimenator, inTEENinator, etc) before we had the hack conflict tool! Scary and exciting times!

Glad to see the easier breakup helped your simmies out of their tangled situation. Looking forward to seeing how their relationships turn out, and if they'll have babies!

Sometimes rules are made to be broken... I usually limit playing a sim for only one season (5 days) before moving on to the next. In the case of Nathaniel and Nerissa I am making an exception - just too interesting to wait months before their turn comes up again! Here is a counterpoint to Em's wonderful story about Nathaniel and Reese.

Nathaniel and Merissa moved to a new house, and here were their visitors. That's Sugah's Kristi (Miss March of 2010) in the grey, and Hunter's
Alison in blue. The woman at the end is the human version of Fiona
Shrek, a fellow education sim who came home with Nathaniel.


Here Nathaniel pops the question. Maybe there's a way of capturing frames from the animation clips, but I don't know it, so I had him ask her at dinner.

Nerissa had a hug for Jesse - and he (just maybe) has a few regrets... I must observe that usually the EA NPC sims aren't all that attractive. I did give Nerissa a new hairdo, some eye makeup, and different lipstick. I think that she can hold her own with any created sim! (But I'm not ungrateful for all of the amazing and superb contributions on this site).

Now breaking another rule... I usually don't do kids - too much trouble, but the story will continue. Nerissa and Nathaniel did try for a baby on their 'moon, but no signs of anything yet - maybe vacation stuff doesn't carry over. Hope to tell you more in a week or so...

I love that you couldn't drag yourself away from them! They are a very cute couple!

Janet Goode and Kristi are also very pretty. Can't see the others that well. Looks like a fun wedding. I'm eagerly awaiting what I hope will be baby news! :wigglypig:

By the way, if you disable the the special even camera, you can get the whole proposal in normal simmie time, and you can pause and take all the pix you want. You can always put back on the camera after. It's under the the 'camera options' when you're in the screen that you go to to save.

I'm glad you like the story so far. Thanks for the tip on the special event camera - I'll try to capture the arrival of the new Broadswood-Smythe-Almassizadeh baby sim.

BTW, Nerissa kept her maiden name - Almassizadeh, but I think the baby will be "Just" Broadswood-Smythe

Aw..how sweet. I like it that you're getting so into it that you want to stay longer than the allotted time and that you're going to let them be pioneers in the parenting department. They do make a very cute couple. I've had a couple get pregnant on their honeymoon and had the baby later at home - and didn't have any problems. So good luck to Nathaniel and Nerissa.

Mine seem to always get pregnant on honeymoons whether I like it or not! Mac the game actually pauses the pregnancy until they get back home. Usually even the symptoms don't kick in until they get home.
