| I think your Victorian abode (one of my fave styles of architecture, btw) has great potential, Tim. I like what you've done so far. Of course, I am definitely NOT the guru on building Sim homes OR decorating them. I leave that field of expertise to Toni (ilikefishfood), Jen (adriannasimmie) or Ulli (ullwera). I have no doubt any one of those fine, talented creative team members could share some thoughts or a pointer or two! Will PM them to make sure they've seen this thread. - Quote :

| Yes. Tim's already shaken me down on my FB page, and I've agreed to do the makeover! EDIT: Oooops. I have all EPs and SPs. Not sure how to deal with that. | |

| Okay, with Toni's suggestion, I made a change which allowed me to roof the porch, so here is the new front, and 2nd floor layout 4 Bdr, 3 baths And the house file if you want to help me out decorating it. No custom content, but it still included a couple of cc files so use clean installer to remove them. Sorry. https://www.box.com/s/u2ri9y008nlf4lzm895j | |

| Thank you, Toni, for helping Tim out with this. I'm likin' what you've got going on so far, Tim. Keep up the good work! PS As I've said many times , I am not very good at decorating AT ALL (unfortunately). But if you are in need of any Victorian type walls or recolors, I would be happy to give that a go for you, good sir! Added later: I thought I'd do a search for some Victorian style moldings & wallpaper since I had some time today. Came up with these so far. What do you think, Tim? Anything you might use in your pretty Victorian abode? Some are mix & match. These are not completed walls, mind you. They are only designs I am currently working on. So, if you do not think you could use them or if they are not something you'd like, I won't load up HomeCrafter to create them for your game. No worries, either way! | |

Those are quite nice to me! I am unfamiliar with decoration of the Victorian age inside the house actually, so I am not a good judge of that. I just love the architect of the houses! lol I would be quite happy to see them in the house!

| I actually found them at a site that specializes in historic walls. It lists the years of each period. The wallpapers I've shared with you are pretty much within the perimeter of the Victorian era (1800 to 1900 approx). I didn't know if you were going to decorate your house, too, and if you wanted it to be authentic, time period-wise. If you do not need these anytime soon or don't feel you'll use them, I may offer them up for our first update of the new year in mid-January! | |

| I did download your house I started with the porch you had some troubles with it? You can have a balcony. I have to lower all roofs and change colour. And maybe you wanted like this with a roof over your porch? | |

| Good morning Ullwera!
Thanks for downloading, it was the front porch I had the trouble with, I didn't realize you could build a wall, put up a roof and then go back and delete wall making it a porch again without affecting the roof or using a boolprop(sp?) code. I had redone it using Numero's invisible wall, but that had issues, such as having to use a door or archway to get past the steps onto the porch, plus not everyone would use that mod...Toni told me I could just remove the wall, so I could finally get the structure the way I wanted it.

| Good morning Grycon!
I was a little bit late then. You can use the coloums/pillars to create a roof and then move them and the roof is still there.

That's what I originally thought...but no matter what roof style I clicked, it left the front porch roofless, so I went back and redid the 2nd floor and built on top of the porch. I was so mad! lol Sugah is working on some very nice wall paper for the time period, but my decoration skills lack a certain something, you know to me, stripes and polka dots go together...lol So that is what I need or am looking for...help in making it look more 'normal'. lol

| Ulli, I really like what you did to the roof. It has great curb appeal, esp. the second version. Those are some very nice patterns that could easily be turned into wallpaper (using HomeCrafter 2) for the game, Tim. The Victorian ones are rather bold and busy, but much depends on what you're going for when decorating, of course. Terrific find! | |

I completely missed this. Sorry about that, Tim. How soon are you needing the walls? Has anyone volunteered to help you decorate? Like you, that is SOOOO not my strength, otherwise, I would give it a whirl. I'm no architect, builder or interior designer ... Just a recolorist! - Ulli dear wrote:

| I don't know when I will have time to create again with the busy holiday season here, Tim. There's a possibility I may have some time the end of this week, but I wouldn't want you to wait on me, if you're needing to get started on the interior of your Victorian. I'd be willing to do matching carpets/floors, too, but, again, it might not be for a wee while. Added later @ 3:50pm: I was actually able to create them today! Hubby had to go out on an "emergency boat winterizing" expedition this afternoon, since we're expecting freezing temps early this week. Soooo... I had some time to load up HomeCrafter 2 and create the Victorian Collection for you, Tim! I need to test them in game, then package them up. I will also be offering these in January, here at SP, if they turn out as nicely as I'm hoping. Stay tuned... I will load up my game to test the walls ASAP. It might not be til later this week, so hang in there with me. | |

| Okay, Tim! I had these done before I left for my mom's house, but didn't have time to edit and upload them to Photobucket. I haven't had time to create coordinating floors yet, but will soon. You'll have to forgive the boring screenshots. I took the pics in my beach hood and have very little Victorian decor/objects installed in my laptop. Thank you for your patience, btw. I will definitely be offering this set (with coordinating floors) our first update of the new year. But if you'd like them for your Victorian abode sooner, I would be happy to zip 'em up and send them to you via email. | |

Thank you! I am so glad you like them. If Toni decorates the house and packages it up for you, do you have the latest EP installed that she does? In other words, if you don't have Apartment Life, when you try to enter your newly decorated Victorian abode, your game will crash. I'm not sure if it works the same with SPs, too, in which case you'd need Mansion & Garden Stuff installed since Toni has them ALL. I absolutely adore Lady T's stunning Sim homes, but can not download them into my laptop, since the latest EP I have in it is Freetime. Just a heads up on this, but I've no doubt you two have discussed the matter already. I will be happy to package the Victorian walls up & email them to Toni, if she thinks she could use them.
