| Russ You saved me from Sunday spending a good part of the day reinstalling my Sims forcelowResolution was already set to false, but making the uintProps the same for all of the ScreenModeResolution options did the trick. Who knows how things got fouled up (probably never know) but I've ( you've) made the problem go away. Again | |

| So far, I have not had any issues with Box.com, Tim. It could just be a temporary site/maintenance problem. Has it just been today that you're dealing with "error" messages?

| I just checked my Box account and all of the others who have downloaded the files are fine, so it's not the files and Box says they are up and running. "Shrugs" | |

| Okay, Tim. I just tested my Box.com account for you. While it IS uploading files more slowly than usual, the 2 uploads WERE successful. Let me try downloading one of my Box.com uploads from here now. Be right back! Just downloaded Celestina of Spain with no issues, good sir. When was the last time you tried and had the error message? | |

| Weirdness...I haven't experienced problems like this since dial up. *shudder* I downloaded the same file 5 times...1 time out of 5 it came through at the same byte count as the site said...I just don't know what else to do with it at this point. lol | |

| Could Your Firewall be interfering with the download process? I've had similar problems on other file sharing sites, Temporarily disabling it fixed it for me.
The only other idea that comes to mind... is Your program You are using to view and uncompressed the archive is acting up. I have a few rare occasions where Winrar says the archive is corrupt, But if I use Windows's archive viewer or 7-Zip they open the archive fine.

| Could someone else please check this link? It's to one of my sims and Tim is having a terrible time with it. If someone could check it and see if you can download and get all the content, and find the sim in game I would be most grateful. You don't have to keep her or her content afterward. I just need someone to check it out. Frances Goth No one else has had an issue, but I am checking everything. I create for another site and there is no issue there either. I can't figure it out. UGG!! Thanks in advance!!! SS | |

| @Tim. Which browser are you using?
@Julie. You could have at least used a Zip/RAR program and added a pic to the Zip/RAR, so you know what the Sim looks like. Anyway the Sims2Pack downloaded and installed, no problems.

| I use Chrome 98% of the time, firefox for some other things not related to Sims. Fairly recent development...Not quite sure what to make of it. SS has shared several files with me, 1 d/l'ed just fine, another had issues a couple of times I tried it. She repacked and zipped it and it came down short on the byte count the first couple of times, but then came down fine. Another file took about 6 tries before it finally got to me without either being short bytes or clean installer saying empty package on some of the files...just total weirdness. lol | |

| Additional question related to the problem/issue I am having...all Sims/items created through the Body Shop has a long string of alpha numeric characters with a _ (underscore) separating the 2 sets of characters...isn't the first set of characters like an identifier of the creator? The 2nd set is it's unique id for in game use?
If (at least the first set of numbers) this is right, then I am really confused. Sims I download I place their face preset file into a special folder of it's own and in that folder I am only showing 2 face presets that match SS's Sim files and both of them are of Sienna back when I thought it was Sienna I was having problems with. So now I am like...where the heck is the right face preset?

@ Russ, the files are not normally for download. So there are no photo's and they are not all in rar files. Tim saw the photo's before he decided he wanted a copy. Thank you for checking it for Tim and I. I really appreciate it. @ Tim, I think you may need to use firefox. I am on a win7 and use Firefox exclusively. Have you thought it may also be your settings on your browser? Just a thought. SS

| Yea, I don't know what it is...one time it works fine, another time it fails...though I think we might now have a fix for poor Frances...have to wait til SS gets home and has time to double check...we're thinking the 2nd file she posted of Frances was actually Sienna and she had already deleted the original Frances and we were sure if part of the problem might be that she was dressed in gear from a expansion I don't have. | |

My brain just imploded, Tim! I hope you two get it worked out. Let me know when you do and I shall lock up this thread.

| *gah* my post got eit! lol
It gets mighty convoluted in my head let me tell you Sugah! lol
I had an idea to delete 1 of the 2 Sienna Sims and see how that affected my presets...it didn't so I am back at square one, scratching my head and feeling like a service sim with a 1 in mechanical trying to fix the tv...*Zzzzzzzot* LOL

| Sugah...you can go ahead and delete or close this, not sure what box.com's problem is/was but I've gotten the Sim from SS's other website so it's all good I guess. I will just have to pay more attention when downloading from box that the file comes through complete from now on. | |

| Seeing all the amazing make overs of base game got me wondering...Wonder what it would be like to go into the family trees of Pleasantview and go back a couple of generations (or more if possible) and recreate Pleasantview using the 'Founding Sims' and play it forward...Adjusting children names in cases of changed sex or you could always do the save-reload to get the right sex and see how close the children grow up looking like they do today. So my question...What's the easiest way to empty Pleasantview to start something like this, is it possible to edit how the hood looks (change it to a one road town then over time add more roads and stuff? Heeeelllllllp! | |

| It's funny that you should mention that. I just saw this post at Garden of Shadows yesterday. It's called '100 Years before Pleasantview' - Quote :
- Ok this is 100 years before Pleasantview using clean and empty templates to make....I have made all the Pleasantview Ancestor's and have moved them into houses in all 3 hoods, Pleasantview, Downtown and Bulewater vilage.
Will you take them back to the future or will you take them in a whole new way. Of course this isn't answering your question about changing Pleasantview to have fewer roads. But you could change the roads to dirt or stone just to make it look older. This mod from MTS2 will do that.
