The coy look is in response to a blown kiss. - ilikefishfood wrote:

Undoubtedly a couple got the lamp, used two charges, then gave the lamp to her. I'm big on giving away lamps if they still have unneeded charges. BTW - love your new avatar!

Thanks Mac! I was working on a West Indian carnival costume for a simmie I uploaded. I didn't end up using the outfit for the upload, but the pictures I look were so delicious I had to use them for something!

I have to keep this in mind. Mine often go unused and end up dying with the simmie.

| Why are Barack and Michelle smiling? Well, on the same day he became Mayor of Simsville and she became The Law. Platinum forever! Let me introduce a couple of recent sims... On the left is Ella Warne - she's from down under (many thanks to Sugah). She's in awe of her far more famous brother Shane, but hopes to become a famous supermodel - then we'll see who's famous! Chaya James is on the right. She's from Trinidad (many thanks to Toni). Chaya is a creative writer and will be very happy if she is ever half as good as her grandfather. She's published her first book "Within a Boundary - a Look at Trinidad in the 21st Century" It was not a good start but she did give 1000 simoleans from her royalty to Ella to start her household. They are now best friends. Valera Aster (thanks Ari) came home from work with her. They're both creative writers. After discussing the latest from the book factory where they work, they had a good laugh and are also friends. Finally, Paul McCartney was one of the sims who welcomed her to the neighborhood and they have hit it off very well indeed. He's a Rock Icon and single. She's working her magic on him and he looks doomed! Chaya has really been a lot of fun to play! | |

| You really do keep your simmies happy. I love the picture of Barack and Michelle; I love when the simmies are at their most affectionate. You definitely have an aesthetically superior neighborhood, Mac. I love it! | |

No, thank YOU. I am thrilled to see Ella of Australia in your game. I appreciate you downloading her & look forward to her becoming even more famous than her brother. - Quote :

Me, too, my friend. You'll see me posting close up images of affectionate gestures between my Sims, because I love those interactions so much. Thank you for sharing, Mac, and for being here with us, as always. It is always fun to see what's going on in your very creative, eclectic Sims world.

Right on! You tell it, Mister!!! So great to see pics of Ella modeling in your game. I can't tell you how pleased I am about it, Mac. Also, I am loving Ella in my Africa Black pjs. I'm thinkin' she'd be rockin' my Turquoise Lime Pucci Floral swimsuit, too! Thank you so much for sharing your screenshots of my Australian gal.

I've downloaded the swimsuit, but I'm a little afraid of melting my monitor! Ella is really something else!

| Here is Ella, in the Turquoise Lime Pucci Floral swimsuit as requested. No, my monitor didn't melt, but it got pretty warm... Ella is a Popularity/Scorpio (since I usually play a bit with the attributes, they are 57814). She is a Model/Fitness (hoo boy is she ever fit thank you very much! ) Her LTW is 20 best friends, of which she has two already - Chaya James and the celeb Kristin Chenowith (B'way and TV star). Her likes are Fitness and Athletic, her dislike is Fat. I would love to play her more, but Lisette, Adam, and Kostos are still awaiting activation. | |

| Not many people are going to know who Shane Warne is unless they know of the game of Cricket. He was the undisputed king of spin bowling. | |

Absolutely the king - more test wickets than anyone else. Not only spin bowling but leg spin! If you are into this, you might check out Twirlymen by Amol Rajan Ella is all woman, and Shane is all man, but she does remind me of him when he first appeared on the scene - blonde and very fit!

| Well this is all so very cool! As an island girl muhself, I'm loving the cricket references here! And yes Russ...even we West Indians must concede Shane Warne's greatness! I had the absolute peak life experience of seeing Australia play South Africa in my country (St. Kitts and Nevis) in the World Cup a few years ago. It was awesome! Records were made, and I met Mitch Johnson! Got to interview him on my radio show, and got a wee touch of his abs while posing for a piccie with him I love that my Chaya is having such a whale of a time in your game Mac! I created her already married with children so didn't have the pleasure of playing her as a social butterfly single. Loving seeing what she's up to. It's great that she and Ella have become friends...especially as we 'met them' here at Sugah's at the same time! Ella is crazy hot! She should come with a warning! I've gotta go find those pjs Sugah! They totally rock! And that bathing suit! Oh my! Is it available here Mac? Because, you see....my download folder isn't full enough! Love Michelle and Barack and Paul. Your hood is just so exciting Mac! | |

The swimsuit and the jammies (the ones modeled on the sofa) are both available on this site! Both by Sugah Check out "La Petite Boutique" Hope you like (I know you understand) the reference to Chaya's grandfather and her attempt at her first novel. I probably included too many insider jokes. For the information of those on the outside , Chaya's "grandfather" is the late C.L.R. James, a Trinidadian writer on Cricket, Social Policy, Politics, etc. He was one of the most brilliant writers in the English language ever. His classic work "Beyond a Boundary" is about growing up in the West Indies, the West Indian identity, and West Indian Cricket. Shane Warne (Ella's "brother") was a leg spin bowler for Australia roughly 1990-2005. The reason - other than his brilliance - he took so many test wickets (think of them as "outs") is that his bowling (OK "pitching" for us Americans) was not as stressful as fast bowling. He didn't get tired as fast and had fewer injuries - think of a knuckleball pitcher vs a 99mph flamethrower. Tiona Adrian-Worrell (my sim of Jen's lovely creation:Tiona) has Sir Frank Worrell as a "great-uncle". Sir Frank Worrell figures largely in "Beyond a Boundary" I'm now playing Toni's Adam Kitts (Fortune/Aries Journalism/Film&Lit) and Kostos Nevis (Popularity/Gemini Fitness/Fitness) is just down the street and next.

Now I did get the Kitts an Nevis reference! Awesome-ness! I'm very flattered! And looking forward to seeing what they get up to in your game.

| What's been happening in my 'hood lately. Well, mainly, I've been incorporating a lot of the new sims on this site. See earlier postings for the adventures of Ella and Chaya. Meanwhile, Adam Kitts and Kostos Nevis (thank you, Toni) are neighbors and met each other right away. If they look a bit different, it's because I had to use different hairs and substitute a default skin (since I don't have the mesh, the skins they came with gave a "headless horseman" effect - or is it the other way around? Adam is a Fortune/Aries Journalism/Literature sim and is still paying off quite a loan. Kostos is a Popularity/Gemini Fitness/Fitness sim. Anyway, Kostos Nevis (as a proper Scotsman, I'm tempted to change his first name to Ben, but never mind) entertained Fred Astaire and a couple of women who were neighbors. And Adam had Lisette Astralfee (that's German for Astral Fairy, and pronounced "Astralfay") over. They have one bolt - more on Lisette later. Lisette (thank you Ari) is a Knowledge/Pisces Science/Science sim. She had quite a few celebs welcome her. You will recognize Michael Jackson and Sting. It's Bruce Lee with his back to the camera. She really hit it off with Michael and Sting - but Sting is married to Emma Peel. She did meet a couple of women on-line. Valera Aster (also Ari) came over and immediately "Hi, how are you? Let's discuss a book!" (She tends to be that way). Later she had Trinity Huntsman (thanks to guess who???) over for breakfast. They have become friends, but barely. Trinity is in her lawyer's outfit. Then she had a call from Adam (remember him?) They are BF with one bolt. Then, since she's a science sim. She spent some time with her telescope and already has a membership to the exclusive science site. And so to bed. Victorian ladies used to braid their hair for sleeping, then have their maid "do" it for the day. Lisette lets her hair down to sleep. | |

| Awesome update Mac! Great to see "Ben" (Kostos) and Adam mingling with the stars! Lisette is lovely. Sting and Emma Peel. Why not?! Two Brits and all...it works for me! Do you have the other Avengers? I used to love that show as a kid! Now about dear Kostos and his floating head! I feel terrible...I included his skintone but not the meshes! I know it's too late for your Kostos, but I'm going to go and add a link to his download page, so folks can get him in all his beefy glory. I hope you will forgive any disappointment caused fine sir. But thank you for the heads up...as least we can save few others who mayn't have those meshes, from disappointment. He's been downloaded over 30 times already! Look forward to the next installment of MacHood. | |

I have a rather poor rendition of John Steed - in my game he's married to the gal (a non-celeb) in the pink top having lunch with Kostos (above). As far as I'm concerned, there was only one proper female sidekick to John Steed - Emma Peel! Allegedly, there was an Avengers all-night showing at MIT around 1972 and a voice from the audience "I wanna see Emma Peel peel!" For a long time, Diana Rigg, who played Emma Peel practically disowned that role. She was also a serious actress - in Midsummer Night's Dream and much later in a TV rendition of Dickens' Bleak House and preferred to be known for that. But I think she eventually realized that it was the Emma Peel role that made her famous!

| Just a quick note. David Tennant is a real-life Scottish actor. As a child, he was enthralled by the "Dr. Who" series on television. He resolved to be an actor and one day play Dr. Who. Well, he did, and and was playing Dr. Who as late as 2010 (Maybe still). He is the nth (somebody else can supply the n) actor to play Dr. Who. The role is immortal! There were a couple of women who had two bolts with him but each was living with someone else. Then he tried Ava Kerrigan (she is a Hunter creation and appears a few panels above). Lo and behold, they hit it off like anything and she has now moved in. Their likes and dislikes really don't match but they do already have two bolts. He is Knowledge/Virgo Science/Tinkering while she is Knowledge/Scorpio Figure Skating/Fitness. As he becomes more fit and charismatic and she more logical mechanical they can only grow together. In the game, she is one of the prettiest of Hunter's creations! Here is a link to the figure skating career: http://www.modthesims.info/d/395483 Be warned. It does not have a built-in LTW (Ava's is 100000 simoleans), requires a lot of skills, and requires a lot of time on the job 11-12 hour days, 6-7 day weeks. | |
