Only partially staged... Bill was off to work and Gaga was home alone with Stefani. After seeing to Stefani's needs, she called her next door neighbor over. Gaga and Ariana became friends in spite of a negative bolt. Ariana spontaneously went to the crib and held Stefani. Mom took the opportunity to talk to her new daughter.


Ariana obviously has the right instincts. I think I'm going to have to get her appropriately paired off and then...

I'll second Ari, "Hooray for babies!" That's one of my favorite parts of the game too. I love seeing how their genes mix.

I definitely didn't walk that way when I was pregnant (at least not as far as I noticed), but I also didn't pee myself or get sick after nearly every meal. Sim pregnancy is very exaggerated, except for the low energy. I'll give them that one.

I wish I knew... In the last 7 years and more, I've downloaded so much clothing. I did look at all 100+ pages of MTS2 formal, all 33 of Milano's and all of Liana Sims formals. Didn't find it. It might be hiding somewhere in MTS2, perhaps in a collection or something. It would be nice if sims clothing had labels in the collar "Dress Barn" " Bloomingdales" etc like real clothing. In my next incarnation, I'll be a programmer for Maxis; it would have been entirely possible in the CAS screen to right-click on an image and be given the name of the package file.

Actually, Ariana wears anything and everything beautifully!

Meanwhile Kate found her prince again and has moved in with him.


I've decided that I'll run my narrower (only 100 families ) neighborhood more deeply. On each cycle through, cohabiting couples will marry and honeymoon, and married couples will have a child. Already in this first cycle I have 3 couples with a new baby, and 2 more to go (including Beren Erchamion and Luthien Tinuviel) For the moment, just one sub-teen per family, thank you very much... but twins???

I'm going to try to keep the numbers in my 'hood down - no more 400+. Nevertheless I do anticipate adding more Aster cousins, more Driannas, Adris, etc. And I wish I wish I wish - some more Hunters

Mac, to get the dress and mesh from the game; open Bodyshop, create a new sim and just put the dress on her, save the sim, hit the cross at the bottom, open Package Sim and save your Sim to a file. Now you have the mesh and recolour which can be read by Clean Installer.

Unfortunately, I'm having some problems starting Bodyshop in W7 - Sims works fine, but not Bodyshop. Will have to investigate and fuss more.

Meanwhile, I activated (alas, the late) Patrick Swayze and was all ready to pair him up with Zoe Aster (actually there's quite a queue of ladies hot after him) when lo and behold, he encounters Ariana Woodfae on-line.
He invited her over and as you can see, they are now good friends - nothing beats a good backrub. I think I'll hold off on pairing him up just yet. Ari, if this matchup doesn't appeal to you there's always the dancing girl Zoe On the other hand, they're both attractive sims. Let me know!

Try deleting the 'Group Cache' file, in My Documents/Sims 2 Folder. If that works go to this thread and install that file:

Thanks to Caleb, I was able to use bodyshop to find Ari's gown for Sugah. Here it is!

I always delete the cache files - have been doing it for years just to get the sims to run. My problem with bodyshop was simply a lack of patience. When you click on the icon nothing happens - and for a long time. This AM I clicked on the icon and went to breakfast. Bodyshop was waiting for me when I got back. Again, thanks to Caleb - Bodyshop does give creator info overlaying the content items. Wish they'd included it in CAS as well. (I use CAS all the time, but really haven't used Bodyshop in all these 7 years )

I've downloaded three of Ari's latest into my 'hood.
Here are Alyson and Colette Astoria (I decided that 6 Asters was enough - if you go back a century or so, you'll probably find they're related - very distant cousins)
Alyson and Colette are sisters, but couldn't be more different... Alyson is Knowledge/Cancer and is starting a Nursing career. Colette is Romance/Aries and has already been fired once from her job as Kiosk Demonstrator in her Airline Groundstaff career (I must admit, those airline check-in kiosks confuse me, too )
Anyway, here they are entertaining Gwen Pryor, Jeremy Gique, and Nicholas Cage.


Meanwhile, Brendan Teach (the lesser-known younger brother of the notorious Edward Teach - aka Blackbeard) is getting fit. I've set him up to be Zoe Aster's consolation prize when Patrick Swayze picks Ariana Woodfae. He's living in Ulli's Space 63.

Meanwhile, Zoe, who was also in the running for Patrick, has become quite attracted to Brendan and vice versa
(I think we can expect more vice and less versa)
Note to Ari - Zoe is one of the prettiest sims to appear - her smile can melt icebergs!

I'm mainly continuing to go through my reconstituted 'hood for the first time. Doing a lot of pairing up. Next time through there'll be weddings and children on the way. So here's an update without much of a plot.
Alan Rickman (aka Servius Snape) is a Knowledge/Scorpio Dark Arts/Science sim. He'll eventually be an evil wizard. Here he's having lunch with Adrianna's Shanti and Robin, as well as John Cleese. Shanti sort of likes him, Robin does not, and John Cleese really likes him (and he doesn't even walk silly)


SimPly Edward's Janek Piotrowski - Knowledge/Pisces Astrophysics/Science and the lovely Rachel McAdams - Knowledge/Scorpio Entertainment/Dance are also a happy pair.


The big news is that Toni's Wil (a brand new sim) Fortune/Scorpio Athletic/Fitness (doh!) has found Maeve Symtr Popularity/Pisces Artist/Dance. Wil's one of the hunkiest guys to come along in some time. Maeve is from the site www.simstr.com , thus her name. This site (a Turkish site) has been the source of some of my hottest sims - and Maeve is a sterling example. You may remember her from my earlier hood, dancing at Simone's birthday party (see page 9 of this thread). I do know that all of the sim bodies are more or less the same, but Maeve's legs (not shown here) seem to be infinitely long - probably due to her outfit.

Oh Mac! I have missed so much. I'm so happy to see so many of my sims in your game and how great they're doing. That's one of the biggest compliments ever! Thank you so much again, for all your support. I get a kick out of seeing the goings on of my virtual peeps - and how cool is it that I'm getting married to Patrick Swayze? Pure awesomeness.

Just a note: Life imitates art, or the other way around. Tonight, Maikki and I rented "Morning Glory" enjoyable, if not deep, more or less a date flick.

Starring: Rachel McAdams - the sim shown above - very charming and funny. Also Harrison Ford - who I have in my sims as both Han Solo (Star Wars 1977) and Indiana Jones (Raiders, etc - starting in 1981). A much older Harrison Ford now, but still a great actor. Also Diane Keaton - who's not in my sims but was her usual brilliant self.

First of all, Ari, I wouldn't match up just anybody with Patrick Swayze!

After my success with Nerissa Broadswood-Smythe, I have since then been open to incorporating "walk-by" simmies into my 'hood. Here are two recent additons:

Kaylynn Spitzig (a walk-by) has hooked up with Ashton Redfield (SimPly Edward???) Ashton is Fortune/Cancer CityPlannning/Science. Kaylynn, appropriately enough, is an architect with a hobby of tinkering. She's Family/Cancer and a bit of a tomboy, but since he's a bit of a Clark Kent type, that's OK.


Alan Alda (Simpathetic.com) spotted Kimberly Roennigke walking by - under a hairdo that looked like it was done with hedge clippers, glasses hiding her lovely green eyes, and a silly hat - he spotted a diamond in the making. They don't call him "hawkeye" for nothing! Alan is Knowledge/Aries Medicine (doh)/Music. Kimberly is Family/Cancer Sports (MVP)/Tinkering. I've given her a better "do", brighter lipstick, and a hotter outfit.


(A note on simpathetic.com. This site has been inactive for many years but is still up there. I've used it's Emma Peel and Hawkeye (all the M*A*S*H characters are there, as well as characters from Will and Grace, various Bollywood, and some clothing.)

A lot of my celebs came from the basic Maxis Sims2 site, MTS2, plus a few (mentioned) from simpathetic.com Both MTS2 and the Maxis site do purge periodically so old ones are lost. Most of the celebs have been around in my game for a long time. The very best celeb creator of all was Vera Marina on MTS2, but she's dropped off and pulled most of her sims from the site. Still a lot of good sims there - I'm using David Tennant, Gaga, and Rachel McAdams to name just a few. I've also added quite a few non-celebs from simstr.com (Mainly femsimme hotties, of which Maeve is a prime example). Now I mainly add the sims from Sugah's site (get the point?) , although I've just added Katniss Everdeen from MTS2 but haven't played her yet.

Yes, the second time around in my hood (probably at the end of May) I'll be doing weddings, honeymoons, and children. Nathaniel and Nerissa's Simone turned out soooo well that I just wanted to try more! The early times with kids are time-consuming but put that down to realism. I'll still probably use cheats to do all of university in the single last semester. Be sure that Patrica and Ari and Wil and Maeve will become proud parents. At the beginning of my next cycle of playing I'll probably post a census - singles, couples, etc. I have created a lot of couples!

And... Speaking of sims, celeb or otherwise, I'm delighted to be able to add some real celebs to my hood!

I already had Sugah and Ari, and now will be adding Toni, Jen, Caleb, and Elle! Not getting a proper link for Ulli, but I'm sure it will be coming.

You new ones, don't worry. I'm very nice to my sims (except for Arnold "Grilled Cheese" Schwartzenegger)

By the way, I'm an Aquarian, popularity with knowledge as secondary or the other way around. Before secondary aspirations, I just made myself an outgoing knowledge.

Not that you need to make me realistic, but for the record, in RL I'm outgoing, playful (a total goof-ball frankly) and I think quite nice.

I'm not particularly neat, but I'm no slob (I'd settle for 3 or 4 points).

If it wasn't for my job (rushing around), two flights of stairs at work and the fact that I like dancing, I'd get no exercise at all. *sigh* So much for the model body!
