| WOAH! These heels are just awesome, Russ! I really like them. They are truly stylin'! I don't get to play much, so I probably don't have many clothing meshes in my game. Next time I fire up BodyShop or CaS, I will take a look to see if these fabulous shoes would compliment an ensemble nicely. Great job, sir! | |

| Hi Toni, I have been on vacation two weeks at yellowstone so I could not be at the computer at that time.
Anyways...
My game works just fine. As for Simpe I think I'll just re-install it and see if that work and if it does or doesn't I'll let you know. |

| I was wondering where you were! It's certainly good news that the memories in game are intact. That's promising. It's just a matter now of sorting out SimPe. Again, make sure you have the latest version for your game/EPs...and if you're using Windows 7, try running SimPe as an administrator: right click, and you'll see that option. Do keep me posted. | |

| well I'm no genius ether when it come down to vista/7 but you could try google and type in "how to upgrade graphic card on vista/7" and see what it come up with. oh yeah and one more thing if you press the start button and click RUN, a little screen will pop up then you will want to in "dxdiag" (without the quotation marks)....[let me know if this work for I have windows and not vista.]
Sorry if this doesn't work but this all I can think of. |

| To check if it is hardware related, try going in game and lower the screen resolution in the game setup. If it still does it at much lower resolution, there is a good chance it is mesh related. Run Clean Installer and check for duplicates, as they will show with a pink overlay, just delete those. Another check is to do a search for any package files, that have 'default' in it's name, if you find any, remove them from the downloads folder.
If you decide to run default replacements, always put them in a seperate folder in your downloads.

| My old 'puter is feeling its age and I am looking to replace it in the near or maybe far future. Still running Sims2 on XP. Has anyone run Sims 2 on Windows 7? Any problems? How about 64 bit? | |

| I am quite sure that Jen runs Sims 2 on Windows 7, Mac. She had to initially figure out some things with it, but I don't think she's having any issues now. I will direct her to this query, so she can offer her experiences with Windows 7. | |

| I still have not fixed the issue but it's not really a big deal. when it happens in game it is only at certain angles or sometimes when a sim takes a bath. my hubby is working with the graphics to try and see if it that is the problem. I'm not rally that worried about it anymore so if you wanna go ahead and close this thread that's fine. | |

| Mac, I too have Windows 7 and had a little bit of a compatibility issue when using Sims 2. To the best of my knowledge after doing a lot of research I tried this: - Quote :
- Compatibility is always an issue with new operating systems, and Windows 7 is no exception. Your best bet might be to try to run it as an admin and in XP compatibility mode and see if that corrects your problem.
Once i changed it to XP compatiblity mode, everything worked just fine :)) I hope this helps you, dear. You will absolutely love the graphics once you put it on Windows 7 though :)) Here are some helpful tips, too.

| Sugah, Toni, and Ari... The new 'puter is still a pipe dream, but since my current dates back to 8/2005 (they had computers then??? ) it can't be too long. Especially looking forward to a power supply that can handle muscle graphics cards. | |

| I have Windows 7 and I've had some graphics problems with Sims 2, but I think it might be due to my graphics card and that I'm running it on a laptop.
I'm going to try doing what your link suggests, Jen, and see if that helps my game at all. Thanks.

| I have had no problems with Sims 2 on Win 7 64bit, except getting screen captures.
If you are getting a new computer for Sim2, you need a clock speed above 3GHz, minimum 4 Gig of RAM and at least a Nvidia 560 or ATI HD6850 graphics card.

| I'm doing a legacy family and would like art work that has a more herbal feel to it. Like herbal posters and pictures of herbs. My legacy family is based on my budding hobby of aromatherapy so I need more herbal/aromatherapy decor to go throughout the house. Google has tons of pictures and I'd be more than happy to post some if this request gets picked up. Just let me know :) | |
