| Part one of "A Taste of Herbs" is posted and HERE. I ended up using a couple of Maxis meshes that I think you were referring to after all, Bwin. In addition, JoninMobile @ MTS2 has created one tile meshes for many of the Maxis 2 & 3 tile art. Very cool concept. In other words, if you have Jon's 1 tile meshes in your game, then any Maxis art recolors you download will automatically have a 1 tile version, too! I've included one for the Marketing-Sephia print I did. Hope you like what I've created so far! I found more pretty herb art since this update and will be adding part two next update, so stay tuned for more... | |

| Is there anybody here who recolors items and has all EPs and SPs? I have a couple items I'd like recolored but some of them come from the Ikea and Happy Holiday stuff packs. I also have a few base game and EP items I want recolored.
Please let me know so I can list which items I want recolored. And thank you for reading and possibly taking on this task! :D | |

| I have all Ep's EXCEPT Free Time and all Sp's EXCEPT Family Fun. I must say though I have never heard of this Happy Holiday stuff. Is that new or something? I would like to try to recolor the stuff for you if it's for the EP's or Sp's that I have. I'm no expert like most creators though I will give it my best try. | |

| This is so wild, Bwin. I was talking with Elle the other day and we were discussing a "Maxis Match & Recolor" project. I started one awhile ago (see: HERE and specifically HERE ), but never got back to it. I play with NL, BV, FT, & AL EPs. I play with FF, GL, TS, KB, Ikea & MG SPs. I used to play with Pets, but am not interested in reinstalling currently. I've never been interested in Uni or OB and there's probably a SP or two I'm missing! Beckylynn, don't sell yourself short, hon. It's great you came forth and are willing to do give some Maxis recolors a try. Lay it on us, Bwinney darlin'! We'll see what we can do for you! | |

| I'll check those links out tomorrow, Sugah(it's 11:19pm here and I'm exhausted from the 3 hour sim session I just had lol!) I'll also list the items I'd like recolored if they aren't already done :)
I think a Maxis recolor project would be awesome. I love my CC don't get me wrong but at the end of the day there's nothing like a nice piece of Maxis content that's been spruced up a bit. There are a ton of items that I LOVE from the EPs and SPs. They just can't be beat by CC, in my opinion.
beckylynn2109 Happy Holiday Stuff(or Festive Holiday Stuff if in Europe) is a stuff pack that's released during the holiday season(usually Christmas) and has tons of Christmas, Hanukkah, Chinese/New Years, Kwanzaa and, I think, Halloween decorative/functional items. I think it's a neat SP. I got it with my base game years ago as a double pack special.
---- Couldn't help myself and went to the links now, Sugah. I love the recolors. Very basic nothing over the top. I'm very interested in getting some more wood colors into some furniture that I have in mind. I hate when I have a bed frame but the end tables I want don't match! Grr | |

| Bwin, I forgot to mention that our Ulli exclusively recolors Maxis wall decor ( not CC). You may find something you like in Ulli's Art Studio HERE. I'd take a look as she definitely has some unique Maxis art recolors. - Quote :

It is definitely on the horizon, Lady B! Just hang in there with me. - Quote :

I'm so glad you liked the Maxis recolors I've done so far. I absolutely concur with you about not having matching Maxis bed frames/end tables, kitchen tables/counters/chairs & coffee & end tables (complete coordinating sets, in other words). That's what got me started with Maxis Match Dining in Sycamore and A Case of the Cerulean Blues actually . I just never got back to it, unfortunately. | |

| You can post a list here anytime you'd like. I shall keep it in mind when I start the Maxis Match project back up, Bwin. BTW, I've update the Maxis index HERE, which lists the Maxis recolors I offer. You can take a quick look to see if any are of interest to you and also, which links/images have been repaired to date. I fixed a bunch of download links & images this week, Bwin. They're categorized by type. One day, I'll add mini pics in the indexes like you see HERE. | |

| Thank you for your question, Luisa, and welcome to Sugah's Place. I do not play with Pets installed, so therefore, do not do recolors of pet objects. I've no doubt a quick search at MTS2 will pull up any number of downloads for your Sims 2 pets. I hope you're able to find some other goodies for your game while here at Sugah's Place. Thank you for joining us. | |

| Around the Sims has a few neat objects for your TS2 pets, Luisa. Have you seen these?
At MT2, I put in "pet beds" and these pulled up for you. And these pulled up when I put "pet toys" into their search engine.
Paladin (Sims Wardrobe) has quite a few cool 'one tile' pet beds HERE. Simply click on: Sims 2 > Objects > Pet Beds.
I hope that helps you! | |

| I hope you like some of those. I saw quite a few pretty pet beds & some clever objects & toys. There are actually THIRTY SIX pages of Pets & pet related objects/hacks, etc HERE at MTS2. I imagine they probably have the widest variety of Pets & pet goodies around. | |

| Okay I'll jot my list of objects I'd like recolored. I'll try to put the EP or SP it came from to the best of my ability. It's hard to keep all the items straight after having all EPs and SPs installed for such a long time. The little * next to it means I'm guessing.
Plumper Thumper from Smitty Classy(couch)-Cannot remember the EP/SP Foulbreath's Mat(rug)-Family Fun Stuff* Ringum(rug)-Ikea Stuff* Sacred Star(wall hanging)-Happy Holiday Stuff Patio Plastics Dining Chair-Base Game* Sveje Rug-Ikea Stuff* Zecutime Cityside loveseat-Can't remember the EP/SP
It's not a huge list right now but it grows every time I load my game up lol I am in no rush to get any recolors so these can be done at anyones leisure. As far as colors I'd want..I like basic neutral tones, warm tones, cool tones. I can try to find swatches of colors if anyone needs them. | |

The Plumper Thumper couch is from Apartment Life and the Zecutime Cityside Loveseat is Base Game. I can recolor all except for the Foulbreath's Mat(rug) and Sacred Star(wall hanging). I do not have Family Fun or Happy Holiday. all the rest I can do. Just let me know what kind of colors or pattern you would like. | |

| Sounds awesome. My biggest pet peeves with the items listed is lack of colors across the spectrum. Some items will have blue but no green. Green but no brown. It's frustrating. Tomorrow(2/22) I will look for and post colors and patterns I like.
--Edit to add link--
Here's a link I found that has color swatches on it. I absolutely love all the colors listed. They're perfect for everyday decorating and I feel like they'd go so well with wallpapers and carpets that I already have.
Also, Sugah I'd love to learn how to recolor objects and clothes myself. What programs do you need/use to do this? I looked on MTS for some tutorials and it said you can use SimPE(which I have) but you should also have some sort of graphics editor. | |

| I might give some of the things on your list a go for my "Maxis Match" project, too, Bwin. I've been wanting to get back to it, as I've said. Perhaps between what Beckylynn and I both offer, you'll be sittin' better with Maxis recolors. Thank you for offering to work on this request for Bwinney, btw, Beckylynn. - Bwin wrote:

The colors that you provided are beautiful. I like them, too. Let me see what fabrics I have in my stash that would be in keeping with the OsloPress color swatches. - Quote :

To recolor Maxis objects, you will need Wizards of SimPE, which is a part of SimPE. You'll need a graphics editor/paint program. There are several free ones ( Gimp, eg). I use Paint Shop Pro 7. You'll need CEP installed (which I'm sure you have already for your Maxis recolors to show up in game) & Nvidia DDS Utilities. HERE is a quick and painless Wizards tutorial I recommend you start out with. I learned using Wizards (SimPE Lite), then graduated to recoloring CC with the full version of SimPE. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help you along the way! | |

| I'm glad you liked the colors. I picked that swatch off of Google images because it has lots of nice basic colors. Nothing too crazy. I enjoy neons and bright crazy patterns but only for certain houses and certain sims. Solids just seem to go well with the decorating style I use.
Thanks for the links and tutorials. I figured I should learn to recolor since not everybody has all SPs and EPs and some items I want recolored come from SPs like Happy Holiday stuff. Specifically that blasted wall star lol. It's such a cute wall sculpture but only comes in red, yellow, silver and green. Great Christmas colors but I wanted everyday functional colors. So I'll see if I can't take a swing at this recoloring stuff. Probably tackle it this weekend. | |

I'm so glad you liked the colors I chose :) I also can't wait to see the results of this. I'm hoping this weekend I'll read up on the links/tutorials Sugah gave so I can try recoloring, as well. I'd love to someday contribute to this website. I agree about the maxis recolors. I'm one of those people who loves custom content but I also enjoy the maxis content as well. Having more colors of items would just be the cherry on top of my sims 2 maxis sundae. --- Wow reading through some of those tutorials makes me realize how easy recoloring may be. I think I'm going to try and recolor that Sacred Star wall hang myself. :) Probably try it this Sunday. Hmm I tried running Wizards of SimPE and not all of the thumbnails showed up for the objects. Then when I tried to follow the tutorial and recoloring the painting they specified I got a message that said "This object is not recolorable yet" ? Any ideas? | |

| Did you make sure you downloaded the newest, most recent SimPE available, Bwin? Have you installed the DDS Utilities and latest version of CEP? Also, I have noticed the same 'This object is not recolorable yet' message come up. When I go 'back', it then appears and I can recolor it. I will do a quicky recolor using Wizards of SimPE and show you what I mean in images. Give me a bit... Added later on Tuesday @ 11:45amOkay, I went ahead and did some "print screens" of the issue you're having, that I've come across also. Here, I will show you how I've been able to work around it, though I don't know if this will work for you as well. Let's say we're going to recolor Maxis Abstrusionism (not sure which EP/SP that comes from). I'm pretty sure it's one of the later ones. Click on it, then "Next". When I see the above message, I simply hit "back". When I click on "back" I see the above. I then click on the image, and "Next". You should be ready to continue recoloring the Maxis painting using the quick & painless Wizards tutorial by DeeDee HERE with no worries. Let me know how it goes from here. | |
